Re: Back Page: Every Game Should Have A Cow

Actually, my first thought upon reading the headline was that it must be a @KateGray article. Would that my instincts were correct like this more often.

Sorely needed to laugh like this today. Thanks!

Re: Random: Not Even Horror Maestro Stephen King Can Crack A Good Pokémon Joke

@TimelessJubilee @Not_Soos Take this how you will, but in the 1980s (when he wrote many seminal works) he did a lot of cocaine. Like, a LOT of coke; he's stated that he barely remembers writing "Cujo".
I did enjoy his "Eyes of the Dragon", which is an epic fantasy. As a bonus, negative fan reaction to that book (because it wasn't horror fiction like they're used to from him) gave him the idea to write "Misery", which to me is more effective as horror than some of his other works that have more fantastical elements.

Re: Opinion: Nightdive Studios Had Its Best, Most Prolific Year Yet In 2024

@SuperBloodborneMaker Not sure what your beef is. Nightdive identified a niche with a viable market, and they're good enough at serving it to get Atari's attention.
Your assertion that "money going into games already made takes away money from new games" doesn't seem sensible. It's not like Nightdive would've gone into original game development otherwise.

@somnambulance According to Wiki, it's been around since 2006, and has gone through a lot of mergers and acquisitions. Pokémon would be its biggest get for distribution, although not its first association with an internationally-known IP, as it's currently the majority owner of the Peanuts franchise.

Re: Nintendo Life's Switch Summer Survey 2024

For those of you who use your Switch on the toilet, fecal aerosol is a thing, you know.

Nothing puts the "fun" in "funeral" like a Nintendo Switch.

Once again, the last answer option on the Switch backlog question is missing a zero.
