Re: Humble Friends of Nintendo Bundle Offers Games at a Huge Discount

As a European Nintendo nut, I was consumed with jealousy last time. This time I'm full of joy. Especially as I owned nothing in the bundle so far. This is a great haul but even if I had most or all of it, I'd have still given something to just to show support for it coming to the EU. Loving some of the comments here, actually been laughing out loud at some

Re: Rumour: More Claims Made For New Legend of Zelda on Wii U and NX, Gender Choice For Playable Character

I think the option to play as Linkle or Zelda is a cool idea. Probably won't do so myself but anyone who thinks this option is in someway harmful to the series is just being a drama princess (and not a Zelda or a Peach!). I'm more upset about it not being a Wii U exclusive because that means the Wii U will never have had an exclusive Zelda game which is a shame, but I do get that Nintendo has to make money,

Re: Mighty No. 9's Release Date Remains A Mighty Mystery

As someone who is habitually late, I think I would be ill placed to judge them. Heck, I got asked by a publisher to write a book once and handed it in 15 months late. These delays are nothing. Obviously, its frustrating for folks who paid up front but that's how Kickstarter works. Any sane person would rather have a finished product late rather than a half-baked version on time.

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles X Voice Actress Is In Favour Of Lin's Western Costume Change

How hard is it for people to understand that it the boob slider and sexualised 13-year old had been left in, the press could have crucified Nintendo? Do you not understand that in such a case, all the major stores in America (and many in Europe) would refuse to stock the game. Nintendo are not trying to treat you like children, they are trying to bring you this cool game without having the media bury it. If Nintendo were not to bring the game more in line with Western sensibilities then it simply would not financially be viable to release it here.

JRPGs are always changed a lot for Western audiences. Sometimes some things get lost in translation, other things are not culturally compatible. If you check an American or European mainstream media, you'll find they take a very dim view of leering at 13-year old girls. It's the kind of thing that can get you violently assaulted.

I'd like Mother 3, Zelda U and some big surprises. I'd also like all the people who don't know the difference between "localisation" and "censorship" to go into their local bar and talk very loudly about their issues with Xenoblade X so they can perhaps get a more nuanced view of how their society views these things that they seem to feel entitled to
