Re: Talking Point: Splatoon May Be Winding Down, But Its Legacy Could Be Significant

YorkshireNed

I'm not one for 1st person shooters. I loved Doom when it came out but got bored with the clones. Nothing did it for me until Goldeneye but again, more dull clones and hated Halo. Splatoon was the first one I enjoyed again after Goldeneye. I also despise the whole $100 game season pass BS so major props to Nintendo for giving us free updates on this and Mario Maker and cheap DLC for Smash Bros and Mario Kart. Here's to hoping the NX is a very big hit, they continue their free/cheap DLC ways and other follow their lead.

Makes a lot of sense. With their release schedule seeming to have stopped for the Wii U in favour of the NX which seems to be delayed, this would be the perfect way to quickly get some new stuff to the fans. I'd expect more Smash Bros DLC too - Linkle needs to join the action!

Nothing in my gaming life has ever quite matched those early arcade experiences. Back then the machines seemed so high powered compared to home computers. The volume was cranked up and the games were fast and intense. As a UK gamer, it was something you'd just experience on seaside holidays rather than anywhere locally so it always felt like a special occasion. Makes me go all misty-eyed just thinking about it.

@Indielink @henmii Yeah, paypal sucks when you're the seller getting their cut taken off you but when you're the buyer it's painless. I get your point about store credit but I've never had any store credit since they brought in the "pay exact price" option back in...2010 or whenever it was. This is a load of games for less than the price of a large pizza from a famous chain!
