Re: Kairosoft Is Bringing Two Popular Simulation Games To The Switch eShop

VortexTraveller

Game Dev Story is one of my favourite Mobile Phone Games,, never expected it to come to any console, but I'm glad its coming to switch! Hope its priced sensibly and gets some updates (like a few new consoles to develop for based on the ones that have come out since the game was originally made) like the Nintendo Switch could be the Intendo Change.

Re: Video: We Feel these Top Ten Characters Deserve to Be in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo Switch

VortexTraveller

Good list, some I'd really like such as Waluigi, K Rool and a ARMS representative but here are 4 Characters I'd like to see that were not on the list:

1)Chibi Robo: Give the little guy a chance, make him Olimar Sized could have a fun moveset hitting people with a toothbrush and using the power cord as a whip.

2)Crash Bandicoot: Crash Trilogy is on its way to Switch and remember that old sony commercial where crash was calling out Mario outside Nintendo HQ... we have sonic lets get the other big 90s platform mascot in on the action!

3)Issac (Golden Sun): His Magical abilities could make for a fun moveset plus it gives representation to another older franchise, sometimes a being a fighter in smash can be what a series need to boost its popularity like what happened for Fire emblem

4)Takamaru: He was considered for the last game but apparently due to lack of popularity in the west was left out , that didn't stop Marth back in the SSBM days so why should it stop Takamaru?

Honorable mention: Bring back the Ice climbers since they were only left out as the 3ds couldn't handle them, but I'm sure the switch can!

Re: Nintendo is Getting Into the Movie Business

VortexTraveller

Despite Nintendo previous miss with the Original Super Mario Bros movie that was a long time ago so figers crossed they will make it good this time. I'm kind of hoping we get a Nintendo Cinematic Universe kind of like the Marvel one with Multiple Movies (e:g Mario, Zelda, Metroid, etc) that come together in a Super Smash Bros Movie.

Re: CoroCoro Has A Pokémon Sun And Moon Exclusive Lined Up For Its Next Issue

VortexTraveller

Next issues exclusive Sun and Moon news will be that exclusive Sun and Moon news will be in the following issue, which when that comes out will just tell us exclusive Sun and Moon news will come in the issue after that.... I swear CoroCoro are doing this on purpose now... I'd be more annoyed if Pokemon hadn't dropped all that ACTUAL awesome Sun and Moon News recently.

Re: Poll: What Do You Think of My Nintendo and Miitomo?

VortexTraveller

As I posted before My Nintendo is a good starting place really needs 4 changes for it to be perfect
Gold Points for games under £4.50 (5 points)
Point Codes in physical games
Physical rewards
Missions in Wii U & 3DS games

Miitomo seems a bit basic to have long term potential the fact you can only add friends and not anyone like other "social" apps is a big thing that's gonna cause it to fade fast

Re: Guide: Getting Started With My Nintendo

VortexTraveller

Liking My Nintendo so far, its a good base to start off from however there are a few things I feel they need to add ASAP
Gold Points for games under £4.50 (say 5 gold points)
Point Codes in physical games
Physical rewards
Missions to earn coins in Wii U & 3DS games

Re: Mewtwo amiibo Spotted In The Wild

VortexTraveller

So out of the characters that are currently in Smash Bros, we only need to see Lucas, Roy and Ryu in Amiibo form (assuming "Costume Characters" like The Koopa Kids and Alph won't get Amiibo as they are more costumes than full characters)! Wonder if Mewtwo will be coming before the year is over or if we will get him early next year.

Re: Nintendo's Official UK Store Promises Extra Stock of "Certain amiibo Figures" This Week

VortexTraveller

Glad they are restocking, but the crypticness of this one annoys me, they could at least tell us WHICH characters will be restocked, even if they can't say exactly when they will go up. I only need one character, Shulk, but since they didn't specify which characters are available I have to keep checking the website on the off chance Shulk MIGHT be one of the characters they are restocking, potentially wasting my time if he is not one of the planned restocks.

Re: Talking Point: Metroid Prime: Federation Force and Entitled Fury

VortexTraveller

This seems to be suffering from the same issue Starfox Adventures did on the gamecube, where the game is not being judged on the quality of the game itself but the expectations of the title attached to it, Starfox adventures got slated as it was not the epic space flying everyone expected from starfox but a action.adventure on foot. Metroid Prime:FF is not the isolated journey as Samus people expect from Metroid but a multiplayer Co-op. The game is being unfairly judged as a result of its title and not on its own merits (though maybe the reaction was inevitable due to how long since a new Metroid Prime had been released and Nintendo should of made it a new franchise). I actually was not expecting the game to get this degree of backlash, I'm not really a FPS fan and prefer 2D metroid so MP:FF felt like it wasn't for me but it looked fine enough and I certainly didn't start demanding them to cancel it!

Re: Reaction: Nintendo's E3 Digital Event Brought Franchises We Wanted, But Not The Blockbusters

VortexTraveller

Ok heres a rundown of my reaction
Starfox: Looks cool, probably the biggest gun in Nintendo's arsenal this year, unfortunate that they announced it last year, great start.
Skylanders: great from a business point but not news for a hardcore E3 crowd.
Zelda Triforce Heroes: Looks good, a 3 player, 4 swords type game, but not a killer ap.
Hyrule Warriors 3DS: Fantastic, I think people would of been more hyped if it were not for the leak.
Metroid Prime Federation Force: Would of been better received if they made it a new IP instead of making is a Metroid game without Samus.
Fire Emblem Fates: This one looks to be really good, but it was no surprise.
XenoBlade Chronicles: Same As FE Fates.
AC home designer: fun enough distraction
AC Mario Party Ripoff I MEAN AC Amiibo Festival: AC characters should of just been Mario Party DLC like in Mario Kart
Yokai Watch: Looks quirky, not sure if it'll take of here like in japan.
Yoshi's Wooly World: Long overdrawn section for a game we knew plenty about.
Mario and Luigi Paper Jam: The game I was most looking forward to after the direct, a nice surprise, can't wait to play this!
Mario Tennis: Ok, but again not the killer App Nintendo needed
Mario Maker: Way to drawn out for a game we'd already seen plenty of and the end section was too ridiculous and made a bad last impression.

Overall: Some good stuff but no killer blow or major surprise that was needed especially after the other big two had strong conferences. Too much of a focus of games we already knew much about and not enough explaining newer, more unusual titles which took what people wanted but did not delivered in a way they wanted them and needed more explaining to make them more accepted as a result. ending was ridiculous. Unfortunately a underwhelming show, not exactly "worst E3 EVAR" but certainly not to fan expectations

Re: Exciting Hints of amiibo Restocks Can Be Found in Dull Manufacturing Forms

VortexTraveller

Wasn't there rumours of a Shulk restock a while ago? Were they just rumours or was the restock America Only? Shulk is still the only currently released Amiibo I need despite having it on order from Amazon since December! Amazon didn't deliver when Shulk was released citing "due to lack of stock we have to deliver on a on a first come first serve basis" despite me ordering 3 months in advance!

Re: Poll: We Need to Talk About amiibo - Where Do You Stand?

VortexTraveller

I love the Amiibo as a concept as well as the figures themselves. However, Nintendo has completely screwed up the supply chain end of things. I'm luckier than some as I am only missing one figure (Shulk), but Nintendo's handling of the supply chain has been a absolute joke, with them not sending out anywhere near enough of most characters to meet demand. Amiibo have great potential but unless Nintendo fix the supply chain they risk alienating consumers. The cards will be an interesting test of extending the concept but I'm not sure how I feel, it will depend on price since I generally hate anything blind packed unless it's really cheap (blind packing is what put me off the Pokemon Rumble U figures, which you could call a precursor to Amiibo).

Re: Editorial: The eShop's Pricing Dilemma is the Fault of Many, But Damages Creativity and Risk Taking

VortexTraveller

I think the digital nature of these games has a big part of why these games price points are criticised, I admit I have a great difficulty justifying buying any digital download game for any more than £10 as I am on a budget (I will on occasions but only when its a game series with a proven track record like Phoenix Wright), which is strange as if I saw these games as physical objects sitting on a shelf in a physical store at the same price I would likely see it as a bargain. I prefer physical media and hold it at higher value than digital only content, even if the content is the same. Simply for some reason I (rightly or wrongly) see more value in holding something physical than digital. Other stores like Steam also have there part on this issue as that service that is constantly holding sales and selling digital content for low prices, are they causing gamers to expect more for less or simply catering to a demand? Are consumers expectations unreasonable and should they change them to support game developers, or do these developers have to simply adapt to the market? Sometimes selling games cheaper can mean more sales so you make more money overall...

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Legacy Makes The Virtual Console Essential, But It Must Modernise

VortexTraveller

Things Nintendo must Improve on the virtual console
Price:whenever I see a sale for Virtual console games on Eshop, I always think the sale price should of been the Normal price.

Cross-Buy: I own every major NES game on my 3ds, but I don't want to pay out the full cost just to get the same games on Wii U. If I buy a VC game on 3DS or Wii U I should get it for free on the other

More Frequent, Lager Updates: We are currently lucky if we get one VC game a week on either Wii U or 3DS VC and The WII U VC does not have the range of choice that Wii VC had (having Sega and Turbographix Games) and new games are being added much slower (Mario 64 was available within the first week on the wii but we only just got it now on the Wii U over TWO YEARS since the console launched).

Adding Gamecube titles: I'm sure the Wii U can handle Gamecube games, Come on Nintendo this should of been the first logical step up from Wii VC

Moving GBA games to 3DS VC: What were Nintendo thinking putting PORTABLE games on a home console? Its not like the 3DS doesn't have its own VC. They already proved it could be done with the 10 3DS GBA ambassador games which all play great.

Pokemon: WHY ARE THE MAIN POKEMON GAMES, the most popular Gameboy games of all time other than perhaps Tetris NOT ON 3DS VC?!?
Nintendo would make so much money.

Re: Nintendo Download: 16th April (Europe)

VortexTraveller

Don't like the Bundle costume price, I calculated it and (Whether you get one version or both the Wii U and 3ds Versions combined) there is no difference in price for buying them in the bundle(s) compared to buying them separately. I was really hoping Smash would do some kind of season pass which works out cheaper in the long run and gives you a small bonus and a discount like Mario Kart and Hyrule Warriors had.

Re: eShop Games Added To The European Club Nintendo Store

VortexTraveller

Used my Last remaining stars to get Alleyway(GB) and Paper Plane!
They were the only games I could afford with my remaining 1400 stars that I did not already own, but its better than nothing as I assumed those points would just vanish as their was nothing else I could've used them on (except maybe a 300 point Wii/DSI card) and I won't be getting more club points as my next planned Game purchase is Xenoblade 3DS (which is released after April 1st when codes stopped being packed in games).
