The big issue that kills the game for me is the catching mechanic, you could absolutely blitz a level and still not get the pokemon because the catch rate is so low (like Pichu who starts at a catch-rate of 8%) so it constantly feels like you are being ripped off even if you don't spend money, let alone if you do (I am someone who NEVER spends money in free-to-play out of principle). One thing a freemium game should NEVER do is make the player feel ripped off or cheated. This makes sense from the developers standpoint as well, as if people think the game is cheating them, they will stop playing/paying.

@Bushido_Fai I did not get a link In my Email, I went to the website separately.
I'd contact Nintendo Helpline to be sure, but I think as long as you purchase the game using the same Nintendo Account you used to buy the ambassador edition you SHOULD be fine. I'd double check with Nintendo themselves though... sorry I can't be more certain.

So anyone who is a NEW 3DS Ambassador but not received an Email, check you are signed up to receive Marketing Emails from Nintendo, if you are not signed up that may be why you have not got an Email.
If you are not you can sign up through the Nintendo Store (its right at the bottom of the main shop page).

Nice Surprise Bonus to go with my Ambassador Edition 3DS! Got the Email and Preordered my Game (I went for the Special Edition with badge) I was gonna buy the game anyway, might as well secure the Skull Kid too (also I collect badges which is why I went for special edition).

Ordered my set of 6! When is the Mario Party wave up for preorder? They are due out before these ones and they are not available for preorder yet (I only want Toad as the rest are duplicate characters).

Got most of the Amiibo only waiting on Little Mac which I had to preorder separate from the rest of wave 2 to be delivered and JUST found and ordered Villager today (after over a week of searching for him alone after getting the rest of wave 1) so I'll be getting that soon too. I Pre Ordered Wave 2, 3 and 4 to stop having a runaround like Villager gave me again. Not fussed with the Gamecube adapter as I like the Gamepad (plus the Smash Bros + ORAS + The Amiibos have drained my cash

Sorry while I'm generally open to opinion, that last entry invalidates this whole list for me, chucking an ENTIRE GENERATION under the bus comes across as petty, if it bothers you that much just make the whole list using specific gen 5 pokemon you dislike.
Gen 5 has some clunkers and unimaginative stuff... but no more than every other gen does. You didn't even give examples or details on any of the Gen 5 pokemon you dislike, just flashed some pics up while saying not all the designs were bad, which made it confusing whether those pokemon you were showing were exceptions you like or ones you didn't.
I'm disappointed NintendoLife.
