@patbacknitro18 I don't know... something seems different this time. Not only was I actually able to order the maximum limit of four of them about a week ago and finally received them all last week, it appears that they are still in stock. It appears that finally, Nintendo may have resolved their stock issues.
Nintendo 50? What do you think this is, 1939? The next solid, round anniversary date you could hope for with Nintendo is 150, and that won't be until 2039. Unless you want to use multiples of five or ten. In that case, maybe 135th anniversary next year? Nintendo doesn't seem to publicly acknowledge their true anniversary date/year though like they do Mario and Zelda.
Still, it would be kind of weird to have a 140th anniversary celebration out of nowhere when Nintendo themselves do not typically publicly acknowledge their past beyond 1985 (or 1981 if you consider Donkey Kong in arcades--which these days sometimes it feels like even Nintendo forgets about...).
I bought the most expensive tier of the early access version soon after release. Played it some, quickly out of it. Felt somewhat like Animal Crossing--except it was set up in a slimy way when it came to obtaining items; after having already spent money to buy the game, now they want me to give them more money to get this *****? I figured, "well I guess I am just paying for the early access, right?" That made it seem a little bit better. Except that... now we know this is not the case at all. This game is just a cash grab, and now the developer/publisher is not even trying to be sneaky about it.
Even worse, the game is known to be an unfinished, buggy mess. Now everyone is going to have the privilege of buying a completed, "finished" buggy mess that only exists to take even more money as they play if they allow it. I regret getting this game in early access, with the expection that buy buying it on Xbox, I would be able to then pick up and play it on Switch and PC for free once it goes free to play. Now, they can just go to hell--I haven't played it in months, had no real interest in going back, and now am actively against this obvious money sink. I feel like they were lying all along, and that this is what they have really intended all along.
That is an incredibly stupid and pointless thing to base an entire video game around, and this is coming from someone who has got busted--twice--in real life for that very thing. It's not fun, it's not funny, it's not cool; in real life it could leave you walking or riding a bike for a minimum of a year and behind bars for a while on top of that. Not to mention the absolutely sky-high fines, fees, and other costs you have to pay.
The premise could serve as an amusing mini-game or small subsection of a larger game, but as the whole point of a game? I'm not 13 years old anymore, my sense of humor has evolved and I'm still paying on an OVI so I think I'll pass.
I was originally planning to shut them up after what I heard from them in some of the original trailers, but decided to at least give them a chance. So far, while I haven't beat the game yet, I also haven't found them so repulsively stupid and annoying that I felt the need to turn them off. I could've swore after watching some of that pre-release gameplay that they would be much worse than they actually turned out being. Surprisingly, some of the things they say are actually mildly amusing.
All*Stars. It is clearly the technically superior version of the classic when it comes to both audio and video, and it shows. I also feel that Charles' jumping lines are out of place in this game, so another strike against the Mario Advance for adding something that, in my opinion, actually detracts from the game. Nothing against his voice--I just feel that the game should not feature voices in place of (or in addition to) jumping/power-up sound effects at all.
The e-Reader levels were a cool idea, but I never played much with them and unfortunately I lost all my cards and all the required Game Boy equipment (except for cartridges) decades ago. Now those levels can all be played in the Mario Advance version of SMB on NSO/GBA which is cool, but I'll still stick with the good old SNES release for the entirety of the main game.
@NeonPizza I pretty much agree with you. SA2, I feel, lacked things SA2 had, went further in undesired directions that would've been best stepping back from, and added so many things that I don't like about all the "modern Sonic" games we have today.
You're definitely right about Shadow and the overall dark nature, and the IMO far inferior music of the original Adventure.
Sonic Adventure 2 is nowhere near as good as its ranking on this list would have you believe. I mean, hell, I'll admit that I might be in the minority on this, but the original Sonic Adventure was better than its sequel. The original Sonic the Hedgehog is right by it, making equally little sense. Also, there's no way Superstars is bad enough to make 20th place, almost halfway down the list. Something's really fishy about this list. There's no way Sonic 1 is like "fifteen spots better" than Superstars sitting pretty up there with the best of the best (and for some reason, SA2).
I am going to most likely turn those stupid flowers' voices off, but I gotta say... this sounds freakin' awesome. If they would just cuss and say nothing but smartass remarks, Conker style, I would actually probably keep their voices on. In fact, I don't usually care for mods, but I gotta say... this one just sounds awesome.
I got both the Switch and Xbox versions of the game and have given them both a brief try. The Switch version actually looks better to me on my HDTV than the Xbox Series X version because it doesn't have that blurry effect in the background of most of the levels. It's much sharper and the detail is given the chance to pop out without the blur.
On the other hand, some of the bigger enemies seem to be much lower polygon models on Switch and don't seem to look as good as they do on Xbox. The d-pad is obviously the way to go in this game no matter which system you play it on, but due to some of the areas early on that I've seen so far that rely on using diagonal directions (moving across wide loops), the Series X controller's d-pad is noticeably better than the Switch Pro controller's d-pad in those sections. I didn't try the NSO Genesis controller yet, but it or a Retro-Bit Genesis or Saturn style controller would probably be excellent for the Switch version (or PC).
The Xbox version also won't let me load or use any of my DLC; maybe it involves this day one update, which probably didn't update and when I check for updates it says there are none. I also can't seem to find the digital artbook anywhere on the Xbox. Don't know what's going on, maybe Sega just really screwed up the release of this one on the Xbox. Hopefully later today it sees an update and all this stuff loads, because I paid for it and it is all installed.
Here's hoping one of the things they fix is the sound mixing. I watched a live stream of the PlayStation version a few days ago on Twitch and it was so terrible, the streamer kept exiting to the title screen to get to the settings and adjust the sound options, and no matter what they did it would just not sound right. Either the SFX were too loud or the music was drowned out or too loud. It was a common theme in the chat through most of the stream.
Mario's voice sucked in the movie, so I'm glad they're not sticking with Chris Pratt. It's unfortunate that Charles Martinet has stepped down, but from what I have heard in the Mario Wonder demo, the guy they chose for the game is not bad at all. Yeah, it's not perfect, and some things just sound... wrong ("Wonderful!"). But overall it has the right essense and mostly sounds like I would expect the plumber to sound like. To be fair, I don't think ANYONE could quite do what Charles was capable of, and the fact that even his most questionable (imo) line that I've heard so far is still not that bad is really saying something. I think Nintendo picked well for Mario's future. I'm still going to miss Charles' voice though.
I don't often hear the word inchworm, although I have heard it before. It was instantly obvious that it was just some kind of worm or worm-like animal that probably moves similarly to the pipe. A quick web search brought up a Wikipedia article which confirmed that my original assumption was exactly right, but it also mentioned that it is the larva/catepillar of a particular moth.
Makes perfect sense to me, the word "worm" is often given to the larva of insects that are not really worms, including caterpillars (the term I would more likely use).
So, it all makes perfect sense to me. But what makes no sense is the constant freaking out of the article's author... over a word.
@Lizuka By watching the Nintendo Direct that showed much of the game's intro, which pretty much spoils the entire story. It's Mario, there really can't be much more to it than what's in the intro.
@Woderwick You could say the same thing about a Mario or Zelda game. Only, generally, those games typically are at a higher standard than a typical Sonic game. But you can't deny the "me too!" crowd that will rate [insert game here] highly just because they are self-proclaimed fanboys. Good thing most of them hold no real power to actually influence real, actual ratings, right?
Well, I still have a few more days for my Sonic Superstars deluxe editions to unlock on both Switch and Xbox, then a few days for Mario Wonder on Switch, and just a month more for Mario RPG. Complain about the review scores and the fanboys all you want, I've got plenty to play for the next couple months! Can't wait... this is going to be a painfully long week.
Imagine the confusion if the next console runs Nintendo Switch Online games, but not Nintendo Switch games. Now imagine in a few years from now those same Nintendo Switch Online games no longer run on the Nintendo Switch, because Nintendo decided to terminate the service for the aging console, yet they continue to work on the newer console. You can't say this nonsense would help to avoid confusion and give the new console its own identity.
There is absolutely nothing good that can come out of the next console lacking backwards compatibility. For one thing, I will have little desire to buy a console that will not play the literal hundreds upon hundreds of games I have accumulated over the years for its predecessor. Honestly, at that point, I think I'd just go primarily Xbox/PC/Steam Deck. And on top of that the new system will not only look like an absolute joke against the comprehensive performance-improving backwards compatibility of the Xbox Series S|X that goes all the way back to the original Xbox, it will also be incredibly weak against the PS5, which only has backwards compatibility going back to the previous generation.
And you can say that you don't need it. That's fine. But some of us may actually want to get some more use out of games that we already paid for for the Switch that could really benefit from the performance boost that would occur as a side effect of running on better hardware with higher clock rates. Bayonetta 3 comes to mind.
My "entire wishlist" of games from past Nintendo systems I'd like to see return in some form is nowhere near close to being ticked off. On the Nintendo side alone there are still a few Metroids, Zeldas and Mario Galaxy 2, for starters. There are also many games from the now dead 3DS that I feel need to make a return. And then, there are plenty of games that belong on the various NSO emulators, but aren't there yet. I've still got a list of about 50 games from Nintendo (and others) that I'd like to see return on a modern Nintendo system.
Eh... for years now, well over a decade at least--Konami themselves have been the last people I would trust or even listen to about when it comes to Silent Hill.
@Serpenterror You must not have got burned by Sega for being an early purchaser of Sonic Origins. Sega has been very generous to Sonic Frontiers owners in comparison. Honestly, I feel like it's because they've got so much to lose if Frontiers flops, or disappoints players--they're putting everything they've got into this game, Sonic's future depends on it.
This should be no surprise; honestly, I expected this game to have excellent performance. Why? Because it has been confirmed that the game's backend is Christian Whitehead's Retro Engine, which has been used most recently by Sonic Origins and Sonic Mania. It just has a nice pretty "modern" facelift on top.
I'm often worried about how a game will run on Switch, especially this late in its lifecycle, but I have to say that I honestly had no worries here. Which would normally be especially odd considering were's talking about, you know, a Sonic game here. Sega hasn't exactly been known for the most highly optimized, bug-free games out there.
Can't wait for Sonic Superstars and Mario Wonder to release. I feel like they're both doing so much right... and because of that they both feel like they're so far away.
It would be devastating for Capcom fans owning all consoles other than PlayStation if Sony bought Capcom, and I don't think Nintendo would want to buy them. I honestly think Microsoft would be the only "safe" bet, but only for the very short term, before their terms of agreement are up and they begin making more games Xbox/Game Pass exclusives. And if Microsoft buys even more companies and becomes a true monopoly... then we're all screwed.
In the meantime, I want to see both Capcom and Nintendo remain strong and indepent. We need them. They can make all the deals they want (see: GoldenEye on both Switch and Xbox; Banjo on Switch; Ms. Splosion Man, Ori, Cuphead, Minecraft and others on various platforms). But they need to stay independent.
Hell no. I usuall place somewhere between 45 and 85, although on rare occasions I have seen the high twenties and thirties. The range hasn't really changed much, if at all, since it came out. I'm honestly not a fan of battle royale type games, or really online games in general. The game will probably be pulled in a year or two anyway, making any "progress" I make mean nothing, so I don't really care.
Sad to see the loss of a potential Switch game, but expected and understandable after the bulls--- Unity tried to pull off. Honestly, I hope we see more of this because the entire industry--not just Unity, but their direct competitors--need to get the warning. Not only does Unity need to be kept in check, but developers of other development tools need to be reminded that there are consequences for their actions.
In the meantime, developers jumping ship and no longer relying on Unity for the future is a good thing, even if it means cancelling some of their projects or delaying them as they port them out of Unity.
I already got the existing physical edition of Sonic Origins w/ Plus digital download code, plus digital versions of the base game and DLC for various systems. I'll pass.
Still waiting for that CRT mode though. I don't really expect it to happen, but who knows... Sega has surprised me a few times already with this game.
@-wc- To be fair, I guess there's only so much interest minor bugfixes can generate. lol. The game is pretty mature at this point so aside from DLC and other new content it's not like new versions are going to do much.
The new icon is both better and worse at the same time. It is better, in that it shows the game's title now; however, it previously displayed a lot more graphical detail in the vampire's suit, which I honestly preferred. Maybe zoom out the image and shrink the title to get the best of both worlds? Also, am I the only one who started laughing when reading the article's title, that there was a new update to the game--only for a freakin icon update, of all things, to be the main focus of the headline/article?
Balan Wonderworld featuring Princess Peach. Interesting, I guess?
I don't know what I think about a ninja Peach though... she's supposed to be a helpless princess who keeps getting captured by a huge reptile and having to get saved by Mario. Something about her being able to fight back and be able to actually defend herself just doesn't seem right.
The first screen I see: the Epic Games logo. Eh, interesting, I guess--I didn't know Epic had anything to do with this.
The second screen I see: An Epic Account is required. It instructs you to log into Epic's website on a computer/phone and enter the code displayed on the screen just to continue to be able to play the game. Alright... now this is bulls***. But since I just blew the money anyway I did just that.
The third, 4th screens? Privacy policy and other legal s***. By this point I honestly wish I didn't even waste the money in the first place, and I haven't even been greeted with the title screen yet.
A "retro" inspired game with all the unwanted "modern" garbage thrown in. Not cool. Way to sell out.
@Paraka Better Microsoft than Sony. At least if Microsoft snags a company, there's a chance that at least some of their games may be released on something other than their own Xbox consoles. If Sony snatches them up, you can kiss their games goodbye unless you own and want to play them on PlayStation.
Considering all the Yoshis and Nabbit are the same and that literally all the other characters are the same, this is kind of a pointless question. Still, being a Mario game... probably Mario. At least at first. It would be nice if every character offered something unique like in SMB2 and Super Mario All-Stars.
From what I've seen so far it is very likely I will shut them up, but I will at least start and play the game normally at first. I'll give them a chance before silencing them, but sooner or later I think it's inevitable. I'm glad this option is available because one of the first things I thought when watching the trailer was not only how stupid the idea of a talking flower was... but how annoying it could potentially get, especially considering I did not like what I heard of its voice.
Awesome. I want to buy this game for Switch, but in the meantime since it's on GamePass and I have that service, I can play it there. In my admittedly short time with it so far, I was really happy with the overall feel of the game and the graphics.
@Vivianeat You can't make a perfect product when using an inferior version of the source code and assets as the base for your game. It can only ever hope to be as good as the original port that they used to begin with--the terrible PS3 port which has become worse with every version since the GameCube original as it has hopped from platform to platform.
I've pretty much lost hope in this remaster, and it's not for the usual complaint that people have (the framerate). For me, it's the missing/butchered text and vocals during crucial cutscenes. That's kind of important for a story-heavy game.
I do have the GameCube original, and I wish I didn't have to resort to it, but I might just do so. Swapping between two discs and reduced graphics quality/resolution/aspect ratio... it might actually be worth it to overcome an inferior telling of the story, unfortunately. :/ 60 FPS is the least of my concerns, especially with all the other graphical downgrades, but well--I guess that's technically another advantage.
That's both interesting and understandable, yet disappointing. In the end I feel like what we are getting does look good, but I'd rather not see the "end" of classic-style pixelated 2D Sonic games. But it seems Christian Whitehead has lost interest in that style as a developer, and from a marketing perspective Sega has too. And that second one is really ironic, considering Sega is KING of leaving out their own fans and possible customers and pissing them off.
Look no further than:
The original digital-only releases of both Sonic Mania and Sonic Origins
The clusterf--- that was Sonic Origins' release in general, including all its DLC and various "editions" with a sprawling, complicated maze of "features" that resembled something Microsoft would use to artificially separate Windows or Office into different product tiers
The continuing disappointment of Origins Plus, where they added like maybe two or three major things, and left the rest of the game intact... including all of its faults, no improvements, same horrible and inconsistent save system/menus, no sharp CRT pixel filter, AND they managed to screw over original Origins owners out of a few bucks, while purchasers of the physical product only got the original base game we've been playing for over a year now on cartridge along with a download code equivalent to what us digital owners would use. Well, if there's anything good out of it, I guess it's that the download code that comes with your cartridge can, in fact, be used with not only your cart, but also your digital copy of the game.
I didn't when I was growing up because I owned the Super Mario All-Stars version of the game, but later on in life I tried it on the original NES version of the game and... it's really not all it's hyped up to me. Went there maybe once or twice and then forgot all about it.
The audio in the Game Gear games is absolutely atrocious, it's so ear-piercingly bad I'd knock a full point off the collection for that alone. Seriously... it's terrible. But what pisses me off is basically nothing has been fixed or improved. All they did is add *****, and while playable Amy is cool... why does the game still look blurry? Why can't I use that awesome looking sharp pixel filter that Sonic Mania had on day one? And why does Origins still have the same save system/menus that it shipped with? It sucked then, it still sucks now.
As far as the physical edition goes... well, that's something that has both positives and negatives. It's a positive that the code that came with my cartridge is attached to my account and can be used with my cartridge or my original digital copy of the game that I already owned, but it's a negative that twenty years from now the cartridge will still exist but who knows if it will still be possible to obtain the DLC.
I am overall just very disappointed with the release, just as I was very disappointed with the original launch a year ago. On the other hand, Sonic Superstars is looking great. What I hope to see in the future is a Sonic collection containing the Sonic Advance/DS/Rush games. In fact, if they would have included those instead of the Game Gear games, I'd probably be much happier with the update. I never was a big fan of the Sonic Game Gear games.
They're right. A Switch and Xbox are sitting under my TV and I love them both. Great complimentary machines. In fact, I have two Switches and three Xboxes (One X, Series S, Series X). My PS4 Pro? Collects dust. PS5? I might get one eventually for some of its exclusives, but if I do it will be the last Sony console I buy, if I do. And the way Sony is acting during this entire case is completely turning me off to even getting a PS5. Honestly, I'm thinking more and more of just passing on it and making PS4 my last Sony console. They don't deserve my money or the extra tally added to their sales/profit statistics.
I have been complaining about the character select/save system ever since Origins released. It's amusing to see that some things Sega will just never fix... and now, it took a "Plus" edition for others to see the problems with a system I've been complaining about since day one.
@LikelySatan Like they did... and it was great, and the resulting product downright amazing, and honestly years--no, decades--overdue. But of course, this is Sega--they can't just keep a healthy relationship with an excellent development crew they had for Sonic Mania. :/
Do something right for once... screw it up the first chance they get. That seems to be the way of Sega.
This is just more proof that no matter what, even if Sega manages to do something truly great and amazing for once... they ALWAYS end up f------ it up. Always. They can rarely even do anything right these days, and when they do nail it, you might as well just ask yourself, "okay... well what did they do now? What's the inevitable downside to this?"
Meh. I didn't mind returning levels, although to be fair it happened to such an extent (especially with Green Hill) that it did get a bit annoying, but I'll admit that as iconic as that level is, it's not one of my favorites. I mean, hell, I'll take Emerald Hill or countless Sonic 2 zones any day. And really, Sonic Mania and Generations both had perfectly valid reasons for bringing it back, given that they were celebrations. If they'd just switch the level itself up every once in a while I wouldn't really complain. And in Frontiers, I was more annoyed by the lack of new and distinct looking places to begin with--and especially the very little variety in locations.
There are enough programs on PC to keep track of in terms of version numbers across multiple operating systems. Never mind Android. And various firmwares for different peripherals and hardware. I honestly couldn't care less what version of Zelda I'm running on my Switch. It happens to be 1.2 though, because I manually did an update. I don't really care that Nintendo--gasp--actually fixed bugs in the game and pushed a bugfix update. That's, you know... kind of what they're supposed to do, right? Can't fault them for actually doing their job. And quite swiftly, at that.
Symphonia on Switch has so many bugs, yet this list doesn't mention a single bug that I've experienced myself... so what's the point? I guess that the Xbox version, which already seems to have fewer bugs than the Switch version, is going to remain the better version? I'm not impressed with Namco's patchjob.

Re: Mario & Luigi's New Voice Actor Has Been Revealed
Re: Random: Nintendo Shows Off Mario Riding The Inchworm Pipe
Re: Super Mario Bros. Wonder Leaked Online Ahead Of Next Week's Release
@Lizuka By watching the Nintendo Direct that showed much of the game's intro, which pretty much spoils the entire story. It's Mario, there really can't be much more to it than what's in the intro.
Re: Site News: So, Where's Our Sonic Superstars Review?

Re: Soapbox: 'Switch 2' Doesn't Really Need Backwards Compatibility
Re: Soapbox: What Do You Do When Nintendo Ticks Off Your ENTIRE Most-Wanted List?
My "entire wishlist" of games from past Nintendo systems I'd like to see return in some form is nowhere near close to being ticked off. On the Nintendo side alone there are still a few Metroids, Zeldas and Mario Galaxy 2, for starters. There are also many games from the now dead 3DS that I feel need to make a return. And then, there are plenty of games that belong on the various NSO emulators, but aren't there yet. I've still got a list of about 50 games from Nintendo (and others) that I'd like to see return on a modern Nintendo system.
Re: Feature: "We Wouldn’t Give The Silent Hill IP To A Team Like Yours" - Dementium: The Ward's Origins And Switch Return
Eh... for years now, well over a decade at least--Konami themselves have been the last people I would trust or even listen to about when it comes to Silent Hill.
Re: Sonic Frontiers: The Final Horizon DLC Launch Trailer Highlights Tails, Knuckles & Amy
Re: Sonic Superstars Will Apparently Run At "A Smooth 60FPS" On Switch
Re: Capcom Would 'Gracefully Decline' An Acquisition Offer From Microsoft
Re: Poll: Have You Come First In F-Zero 99 Yet?
Re: Wipeout-Style Racer 'BallisticNG' Cancelled For Switch Following Unity's Policy Changes
Re: Sonic Origins Plus Is Getting A Numbered Physical Edition Through Pix'n Love
Re: Vampire Survivors Switch Icon Updated In Latest Patch (Version 1.6.108)
@-wc- To be fair, I guess there's only so much interest minor bugfixes can generate. lol. The game is pretty mature at this point so aside from DLC and other new content it's not like new versions are going to do much.
Re: Vampire Survivors Switch Icon Updated In Latest Patch (Version 1.6.108)
The new icon is both better and worse at the same time. It is better, in that it shows the game's title now; however, it previously displayed a lot more graphical detail in the vampire's suit, which I honestly preferred. Maybe zoom out the image and shrink the title to get the best of both worlds? Also, am I the only one who started laughing when reading the article's title, that there was a new update to the game--only for a freakin icon update, of all things, to be the main focus of the headline/article?
Re: Princess Peach: Showtime! Opens On Switch In March 2024
Re: Fasten Your Seatbelts, Horizon Chase 2 Is Out Now On The Switch eShop
Re: Embracer Group Reportedly Looking To Sell Borderlands Dev Gearbox Entertainment
@Paraka Better Microsoft than Sony. At least if Microsoft snags a company, there's a chance that at least some of their games may be released on something other than their own Xbox consoles. If Sony snatches them up, you can kiss their games goodbye unless you own and want to play them on PlayStation.
Re: Poll: Who Will You Be Playing As In Super Mario Bros. Wonder?
Considering all the Yoshis and Nabbit are the same and that literally all the other characters are the same, this is kind of a pointless question. Still, being a Mario game... probably Mario. At least at first. It would be nice if every character offered something unique like in SMB2 and Super Mario All-Stars.
Re: You Can Apparently Mute The Talking Flowers In Super Mario Bros. Wonder
Re: Poll: What Did You Think Of The Super Mario Bros. Wonder Direct Showcase?
It was honestly pretty much what I was expecting, and it did not disappoint.
Re: Retro-Inspired Indie Sea Of Stars Sold 100,000 Copies On Its First Day
Awesome. I want to buy this game for Switch, but in the meantime since it's on GamePass and I have that service, I can play it there. In my admittedly short time with it so far, I was really happy with the overall feel of the game and the graphics.
Re: Tales Of Symphonia Remastered Is Getting Another Update, Here Are The Patch Notes
Re: Sonic Mania 2 Didn't Happen Because Sega Wanted To "Move Beyond" Pixel Art
That's both interesting and understandable, yet disappointing. In the end I feel like what we are getting does look good, but I'd rather not see the "end" of classic-style pixelated 2D Sonic games. But it seems Christian Whitehead has lost interest in that style as a developer, and from a marketing perspective Sega has too. And that second one is really ironic, considering Sega is KING of leaving out their own fans and possible customers and pissing them off.
Look no further than:
Re: Poll: How Many Of You Have Actually Visited 'Minus World' In Super Mario Bros.?
I didn't when I was growing up because I owned the Super Mario All-Stars version of the game, but later on in life I tried it on the original NES version of the game and... it's really not all it's hyped up to me. Went there maybe once or twice and then forgot all about it.
Re: Review: Sonic Origins Plus - Not Bad, But Sonic Still Deserves Better
Re: The FTC Doesn't Seem To Think Switch Is A Serious PlayStation & Xbox Competitor
Re: Sonic Fans Are Already Really Mad About Sonic Origins Plus
I have been complaining about the character select/save system ever since Origins released. It's amusing to see that some things Sega will just never fix... and now, it took a "Plus" edition for others to see the problems with a system I've been complaining about since day one.
Re: Sonic Superstars Developed By Original Designer's Studio
@LikelySatan Like they did... and it was great, and the resulting product downright amazing, and honestly years--no, decades--overdue. But of course, this is Sega--they can't just keep a healthy relationship with an excellent development crew they had for Sonic Mania. :/
Do something right for once... screw it up the first chance they get. That seems to be the way of Sega.
Re: Sonic Superstars Developed By Original Designer's Studio
This is just more proof that no matter what, even if Sega manages to do something truly great and amazing for once... they ALWAYS end up f------ it up. Always. They can rarely even do anything right these days, and when they do nail it, you might as well just ask yourself, "okay... well what did they do now? What's the inevitable downside to this?"
Re: Sonic Superstars Won't Recycle Locations Like Green Hill Zone
Re: Poll: Will You Be Updating Your Copy Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom?
There are enough programs on PC to keep track of in terms of version numbers across multiple operating systems. Never mind Android. And various firmwares for different peripherals and hardware. I honestly couldn't care less what version of Zelda I'm running on my Switch. It happens to be 1.2 though, because I manually did an update. I don't really care that Nintendo--gasp--actually fixed bugs in the game and pushed a bugfix update. That's, you know... kind of what they're supposed to do, right? Can't fault them for actually doing their job. And quite swiftly, at that.

Re: Tales Of Symphonia Remastered Update Incoming, Here Are The Patch Notes
Symphonia on Switch has so many bugs, yet this list doesn't mention a single bug that I've experienced myself... so what's the point? I guess that the Xbox version, which already seems to have fewer bugs than the Switch version, is going to remain the better version? I'm not impressed with Namco's patchjob.
