@StarlordX0 They were picking on me because I said I only had a Genesis (when I had all three). Nintendo fanboys back were just as pretentious as they are now. I should know as I still loved Nintendo more than I did Sega, even though I preferred the Genesis/MegaDrive at the time.
I already have a couple sticks but I love the look of this one and like that its wireless for easier Switch use along with my PC. Will definitely mod it later whenever I get a couple of them.
@thesilverbrick I think Kickstarter is fine if you stick to the smaller guys with more realistic goals. Like Ex Zodiac (best Starfox clone I've seen yet, probably even better than Nintendo's efforts).
That being said....
I'm just glad I got a Steam copy of W:101 with my physical. I'll flip the Switch copy 2-3 years from now
@meltendo Yeah, I'm not so sure they're using the Switch footage for that trailer, looks too good for 60fps on Switch. I'd be fine with it if the 3D portions are 30fps and the 2D parts 60fps.
While I'll get the Switch version for the awesome packaging, I'll ultimately just play it on PC because its going to look beautiful maxed out at 1440p/4k 60/120fps.
I'm a old (40) gamer as well but I actually think they are in another golden age. I found Remake 2 to be fantastic and better than the original despite missing a few bits. 7 was fantastic as well and 3make was just alright but still enjoyable.
I actually like the design and gameplay of MHW more than the older titles. The bigger world and faster more varied combat is everything to me.
If you're a Nintendo only gamer though, I can see why some would think otherwise. My advice as someone that was Nintendo only (I still am console-wise but rock a powerful pc as well) at one point is to build a cheap PC or get a PS4Pro/5 and try to enjoy everything. You'll have an overall better time and won't miss out as much.
A built for the Switch only MH5 would be fantastic and would probably sell like gangbusters in Japan.
Oh yeah, this is like getting sequels to your favorite 2D franchises back in the early 90s (and mid-00s with the DS and PSP) all in one week. Same energy, same creators, almost the same games but better overall.
I'll ultimately wait for a Switch physical version to play it the first time, that and to match the other two titles on my shelf!
Very cool looking sequel (I vastly prefer NES looking games that feature 16-bit colors and graphical effects) but will be keeping the franchise digital on Steam.
@Thwomp_Stomper Totally understood and I somewhat agree but still went for it and passed on the plush.
The Blaster Master ZERO CE is the one I really want but don;t want to pay that much for it. I really really love the franchise and ahve since 1989 and will ultimately splurge on it.
I've purchased 4-5 digital copies of both games already too. lol
Sadly, I can only agree with this. I can only hope that we get some decent Sonic games along with Skies of Arcadia 2, and proper modern home ports of Outrun 2 (with console modes added in), Daytona 2, HotD 1-4/etc out of them before I turn 50 in 10 more years.
I sometimes wish I could go relive late 1993-1999 to watch the limitless potential of what the new 32-bit consoles were about to unleash upon gaming and to replay the first year and half of the Dreamcast again.
I agree with Kamiya wholeheartedly! I have high-end PC that I keep upgraded every couple of years with a new part or two that will run circles around the PS5/XBX so I'll be skipping those. Switch still excites me today and (I have 40+ games and counting) I can't wait until it gets an upgrade with better mobile tech to keep things running decently with a new gimmick or two.
As much as I like 144hz 1440p/4k graphics on my PC, its gimmicks that really excite me and will get me to pick up a new Nintendo console each and every time. I mean hell, I got a Virtual Boy over a PSX back in late 1995. I could have gotten the PSX 100% but told my aunt to surprise me and secretly hoped for the VB more. lol
I probably buy this one only (just because its my favorite and holds up extremely well) but not any more unless they do a proper a physical compilation collection.
Gals Fighters was the fighting game I played the most on my NGPC back in 2000. MotM, Cardfighters Clash, Puyo Puyo 2, and Metal Slug Mission 2 also had hefty play times too.
@RazumikhinPG Well, good chance of being on there anyway. I'll go ahead and take the risk and order a copy. If not, I'll sell it later on and get the Steam version.
@aragland256 I can go back and play 30fps games but I try to avoid them unless they're Nintendo's games. I did avoid buying the last Kirby though, 2D side scrollers should never be 30fps. I only bought Metroid 2 remake to support the franchise but only got halfway through it. Still hoping for a HD 60fps Switch port.
I also laugh at people saying they can't tell the difference between 30-60 and 60-120+ fps. No, you actually can but just being stubborn for whatever dumb reason. If they're being serious then they should probably go get their vision checked ASAP.
Was easy for me, going PC on that one. I mostly play my Switch docked next to my PC so picking the vastly inferior looking version would be quite silly.
That being said, will pick up the Switch version when I see it on sale to set it next to my Mana Collection on the shelf.

No thanks to any 30fps 2D game. I'll just stick to my pc on this one.
Re: Team Up With A Friend When Bloodstained: Curse Of The Moon 2 Arrives On 10th July
@KoopaTheGamer I call them TG16 games with decent parallax scrolling.

I have my Limited Run CE locked and loaded for later this year.
Re: Square Enix Officially Confirms Kingdom Hearts: Melody Of Memory For The West
I'm buying it just to help push a possible 3rd FF Theatrhythm game (or the arcade one) to be made.
Hell, I'd take a remastered 1&2 in HD and new additions/heroes.
Re: Talking Point: New Pokémon Snap Was The Crowd-Pleaser, But Pokémon Smile Is The Franchise's Most Cunning Play Yet
I wish I still had teeth to enjoy this game
Re: Slime-San Creator Announces Demon Turf - A New 3D Platformer Coming To Switch
Now this style is interesting and reminds me of early 00s 2D/3D platformers/RPGs.
Re: M2's Pac-Man Championship Edition Demake Was Originally Intended For The 3DS
Hoping for a physical Switch release for these, otherwise I'll just buy them on Steam later.

Re: Pokémon Releases New Looney Tunes-Style Cartoon Starring Scraggy And Mimikyu
That was actually very entertaining and aesthetically spot on.
Re: Samurai Shodown Neo Geo Collection Launches This July On Nintendo Switch
Yup, multi collections is the only way I'll buy Neo Geo games on Switch.
Will be all over this!

Yeah, I just can't buy wired controllers anymore except for arcade sticks on PC. I'll stick with 8itdo and Xbox controllers.
Re: Video: Performance Is "Still An Issue" In The Switch Version Of The Wonderful 101
Whelp, I'm glad they gave me a free Steam copy on top of the Switch physical preorder. I'll keep that one unopened.
Re: Pre-Order This Adorable Shantae Plush From Limited Run Games On 15th May

You can tell who the Resetera dips are around here. Lol

Re: Super Mario 64 PC Port Shows The Game Running At 4K And With Ultra Widescreen Support
@Razer Seriously, I hated the N64 texture blurring crap while the console was relevant. I vastly preferred 3D worlds on the PSX and Saturn.
Its always why I really really enjoyed Super Mario 64 DS and replayed it many many simes since late 2004
Re: Super Mario 64 PC Port Shows The Game Running At 4K And With Ultra Widescreen Support
@nab1Hell, I have a 144hz 1440p deal and Mario 64 running at 4k60 is glorious still!
Can't wait to buy the remakes on Switch!
Re: Sega's Blast Processing? We Did It On The SNES First, Says Former Sculptured Software Dev
Meanwhile I was playing both Sonic 2 and Mario Kart back in late 1992.
Buzzwords and commercials were still fun though. Was always fun picking on the Nintendo only kids at school.
Re: The Retail Release Of The Wonderful 101: Remastered Has Been Delayed
Nice, I backed a Switch physical but get a free Steam version for free. Portable and 4k action!
Re: The Next Update For The Panzer Dragoon: Remake Adds 60fps Support, HD Rumble And Gyro Controls
@RazumikhinPG Well, good chance of being on there anyway. I'll go ahead and take the risk and order a copy. If not, I'll sell it later on and get the Steam version.
Re: Daemon X Machina Is No Longer A Switch Exclusive, Arrives On PC This Month

Re: Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix Launches On Switch This May, Free Demo Now Live
Lost me at digital only. Will wait for a possible miracle LRG or something similar.
If anything, I'll just import it later.
Re: Review: Gunbrick: Reloaded - A Painfully Tedious Puzzler Which Isn't Worth The Effort
Looks like a spiritual sequel to Somer Assault for the TG16. I'll definitely check it out at some point.
Re: Shantae The Half-Genie Hero Is Now Available In Funko Pop Form
@mesome713
I hate Pops but love Shantae so I bought two of them
I've wasted $20 on faaaaaaaaaaaaaaar worse things
Re: Fatal Frame's Return Is Up To Nintendo, Says Series Producer Keisuke Kikuchi
@BenAV
I passed on it because it was digital only.
They really need to do a 1-4 collection and re-release 5 with multiple improvements.
Day one, baby!
Re: SNK Gals Fighters Gets Rated For The Nintendo Switch In South Korea
This was my favorite fighter on the system outside of Capcom vs SNK:MotM and Last Blade.
That being said..........DO A DAMN COLLECTION!
And do it right

Resident Evil 3 Re (PC)
Mega Man Zero/ZX Collection (Switch)
Re: FDG's DuckTales Joke Was Actually A Real Pitch To Disney, But It Never Got The License
Of course Didney would pass on a great looking game like this
Re: No Joke, WayForward's Cat Girl Without Salad: Amuse-Bouche Is Out Now On Switch
Also, I really love catgirls and they got a good design with Kebako. She at least deserves another game, maybe a quality run n gun style game IMO.
Re: No Joke, WayForward's Cat Girl Without Salad: Amuse-Bouche Is Out Now On Switch
I got this on Humble when it first came out and yeah, this is the worst game Wayforward has ever made IMO.
Unfortunately I'd buy it physical just to have keep a complete Wayforward collection.
Re: PlatinumGames Was "Really Terrified" The Wonderful 101 Kickstarter Wouldn't Be A Success

Kinda glad they did, almost forget to get the basic physical tier before it ended.
