Re: Capcom Says "No" To Monster Hunter World On Nintendo Switch (Again)

@Varkster

I'm a old (40) gamer as well but I actually think they are in another golden age. I found Remake 2 to be fantastic and better than the original despite missing a few bits. 7 was fantastic as well and 3make was just alright but still enjoyable.

I actually like the design and gameplay of MHW more than the older titles. The bigger world and faster more varied combat is everything to me.

If you're a Nintendo only gamer though, I can see why some would think otherwise. My advice as someone that was Nintendo only (I still am console-wise but rock a powerful pc as well) at one point is to build a cheap PC or get a PS4Pro/5 and try to enjoy everything. You'll have an overall better time and won't miss out as much.

A built for the Switch only MH5 would be fantastic and would probably sell like gangbusters in Japan.

Oh yeah, this is like getting sequels to your favorite 2D franchises back in the early 90s (and mid-00s with the DS and PSP) all in one week. Same energy, same creators, almost the same games but better overall.

I'll ultimately wait for a Switch physical version to play it the first time, that and to match the other two titles on my shelf!

Sadly, I can only agree with this. I can only hope that we get some decent Sonic games along with Skies of Arcadia 2, and proper modern home ports of Outrun 2 (with console modes added in), Daytona 2, HotD 1-4/etc out of them before I turn 50 in 10 more years.

I sometimes wish I could go relive late 1993-1999 to watch the limitless potential of what the new 32-bit consoles were about to unleash upon gaming and to replay the first year and half of the Dreamcast again.

I agree with Kamiya wholeheartedly! I have high-end PC that I keep upgraded every couple of years with a new part or two that will run circles around the PS5/XBX so I'll be skipping those. Switch still excites me today and (I have 40+ games and counting) I can't wait until it gets an upgrade with better mobile tech to keep things running decently with a new gimmick or two.

As much as I like 144hz 1440p/4k graphics on my PC, its gimmicks that really excite me and will get me to pick up a new Nintendo console each and every time. I mean hell, I got a Virtual Boy over a PSX back in late 1995. I could have gotten the PSX 100% but told my aunt to surprise me and secretly hoped for the VB more. lol

@aragland256 I can go back and play 30fps games but I try to avoid them unless they're Nintendo's games. I did avoid buying the last Kirby though, 2D side scrollers should never be 30fps. I only bought Metroid 2 remake to support the franchise but only got halfway through it. Still hoping for a HD 60fps Switch port.

I also laugh at people saying they can't tell the difference between 30-60 and 60-120+ fps. No, you actually can but just being stubborn for whatever dumb reason. If they're being serious then they should probably go get their vision checked ASAP.
