Following on from the games like Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, DOOM 64. Saint's Row IV: Relected, the month of April appears to be a lot quieter. Probably the highlight for most on this list will be the Trials of Mana remake. You can even download a demo of the game right now, and transfer your save data across to the full release when it arrives on the 24th.
If classic JRPGs aren't your thing, there's plenty more on offer like Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories, Billion Road, another Naruto game and Moving Out. Here's the full list of games coming to the Switch this month. To see each one in action, check out Zion's latest video above:
Snakeybus - April 2nd
Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories - April 7th
Grimvalor - April 7th

The only one I'll get of those is Trials of Mana. More games for me in May-June.
Moving Out 😃

The game is sooo.... Retro Eighties !! 😁
Just listen to its 80's style music while playing the game.
I'm really, really hesitating about which version of Trials of Mana I'm gonna get.
For Dragon Quest XI S, I took the switch version without hesitation, considering everything it did bring to the table (the 2D mode ! The orchestral soundtrack !). I found that it was more than enough to cover the loss on resolution and fps.
But for this game... the two versions are the same, so it's just the "portability vs graphics" debate all over again. And on this one I'm truly lost. I don't know what to do. Terrible, isn't it ?
I've even only heard of two of these games to be quite honest. Disaster Report ... gotta wait & see some reviews. It might be something unique, but it truly is ugly.
Trials of Mana, I dunno about yet. Looked fun, but probably not really a must-play-right-away kinda game. I'm thinking it'll have a tough time going up against P5 Royal and FFVII Remake. I'm definitely going with the latter. If I hadn't played P5 already, Trials of Mana would probably not be something I would have taken much note of at all this packed month.
Trials of mana for me
disaster report and trials of mana for me
Disaster Report is on my wishlist among many others, but I think I'm through with new releases until late May. There are many discounted high priority items lately, plus the 3DS point coupons I've been planning to redeem towards Puzzle & Dragons and Fire Emblem Echoes (which alone is over 40 bucks of investment). At least still earning money for that is a bit of an upside in our still quarantine-allergic country (where you have to sit out your hours in empty classrooms even after all your students were allowed to study from home - heta Belarus, dzietka 🙄), but the recent (and umpteenth) currency devaluation may still chomp into that stuff as other living costs follow the price bumps. Time will tell.
And despite the title's appeal, I haven't wishlisted Trials of Mana to date - the original comes with the Collection anyway. I'm not even sure I'll replay the first game in the latter - I already almost beat it back in the emulation days (got stuck in the final area after running out of keys), and I'd rather replay it in the Sword of Mana incarnation which allowed you to play as the girl herself.
Not the best month, but TRIALS OF MANA, man... That compensates everything. I can't wait!
Trials of Mana is the only noticeable game coming out on Switch in April but the demo personally didn't sell me on the game
Hm nothing interesting for me this month. I’m looking forward to may the 30th. XCOM, borderlands and bioshock.
I'm with @Anti-Matter out of this list.I was kind of interested before but as soon as I played that demo?Man that was the most fun id had in a while for co-op and the music was so catchy.
Trials Of Mana is an obvious one for me and I'm curious about that Boot Hill Bounties too.
Billion Road is interesting and looks a bit like Culdcept Saga meets Mario Party X Digimon?!?!??
I’d love a demo.....
If $20 I’ll get it...
Already have the Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories LE on order from NISA Store and debating whether to go for Trials of Mana at launch or a bit later on. Got a fair few JRPGs to get through at the moment but this one looks sooo good.
Vigor for me this month! Only thing to do is hoping for a Beta key🤞🏻
On the 24th will be FIRE..
Vigor, Trials of mana and Naruto, Road to boruto.
Awesome games!!!
Nr 1 is trials of man.
Great quality game to play on the go.
just Trials of Mana for me. looks like it'l be great fun.
@Quarth me too, the big one for me is in May as well.
Also looking forward to some more NES en SNES games, but I’m not sure if these will come at all.
Disaster Report 4 and Trials Of Mana.
I already have Trials of Mana in my Collection of Mana. Forget HD; you can't beat those SNES sprites.
I don't know what Snakeybus is, but as soon as I saw that image I wanted it.
Probably just Billion Road, and Trials for me this month.
Trials of mana was added to my wish list. But I'll hold off. I have 12 games now and need to finish those.
@dewokkel Good idea! Nintendo should be able to release more NES and SNES games without too much difficulty.
Still thinking about disaster report.
And i will definitely get trials of mana but not in april, i still have mana collection waiting on the shelf so i want to finish that first
Trials of Mana, Disaster Report 4 and Ninja Storm 4 for me.
I'm still wondering if Ninja Storm 4 will have a physical release. The eshop doesn't have the game as "Download Exclusive".
Fine by me, my wallet needs a rest.
Looks like a backlog month, which is probably a good thing to be honest. Trials of Mana is the only one I am considering.
... wheres the exciting ones?
When’s Super Mega Baseball 3 release date. I know April but what day?
after the demo, Trials of Mana is a BIG NEED for me
This looks like a bunch of phone games
Slowing the spending to build a nest egg but I will get Naruto, billion road, disaster report and mana eventually.
I'm glad i didn't download the demo of trials of mana, will be happy playing the full experience once it releases on 24th of this month, with every play through looking fresh.
@Neoguardian86 Xenoblade? That's my no 1 this year.
Bleh, nothing for me. Trials of Mana's demo sorta put me off buying it, maybe on a discount.
Trials of Mana is the only one that appeals to me, but as I've yet to play the original in the Collection of Mana, I'll be leaving this one for now.
Trials of mana will be immediately following FF7 remake.
I am gonna be playing Trials of Mana, but still have to decide which version I want to get. If quarantine in Italy will be over and Amazon goes back to its standards (right now they're going slower with unnecessary stuff because of the emergency) I will get it on Switch. Otherwise I'll get the Steam version and will buy the Switch version later, maybe.
Boot HIll Bounties looks like Red Dead Stardew. That is in no way a bad thing.
@Darlinfan Calling it an encyclopedia is a poor analogy. The internet is fantastic for educating yourself about specific topics, but it is an abysmal place to browse and learn about new things. Yes, people can inform themselves about any game, but it can't occur to them to do so until they've already learned about the game, and that's not something you can expect the internet to do.
I don't think exciting means what you think it means here.
I can not wait for Trials of Mana. I loved the original Seiken Densetsu 3 and the game seems to be very faithful to the original. I kind of prefer the fan translation to the official one, but that's nitpicking.
Otherwise nothing for me this month. Too bad p5 royal is ps 4 only, I'm not willing to double dip on the same platform for an enhanced version. And ff7 remake unlike Trials I'm very sceptical on that one.
Kind of an empty month,in my opinion, but that’s ok, because May will be very full, especially the last half.
Switch is pretty grim until May 22nd, hopefully my Switch backlog and XB1 is enough to last until then.
Eh nothing here really interests me, so I'll keep playing what I have. Might finally pick up Pokémon next pay, though.
Just waiting on Crystal Chronicles.
@PhilKenSebben looks at avatar HAHA .....chibi life
@Bobobiwan
Was easy for me, going PC on that one. I mostly play my Switch docked next to my PC so picking the vastly inferior looking version would be quite silly.
That being said, will pick up the Switch version when I see it on sale to set it next to my Mana Collection on the shelf.
@Bobobiwan
It's actually graphics and fps vs portability and better loading times in Trial of Mana's case. PS4 being 60fps and the Switch having the better loading times.
It really boils down to what you think is more important. I myself am going with the Switch version. I like to have RPG's portable and I'm not bothered by 30fps in games that don't require split-second reactions.
Long loading times on the other hand really grind my gears >.<
@Bobobiwan I'm going with the PS4 version for Trials of Mana. Heard the PS4 version targets 60fps while the Switch version targets 30fps.
When I buy Dragon Quest XI though will get it on Switch because the added extras are well worth it.
@wazlon @NinjaSyao @TurboTEF
Wow. Three answers, three differents choices ! Talkin' about a mindstorm, right ?
I'm not a PC gamer myself (just got a very simple laptop for work and that's all), so the logic choice would be to go PS4 Pro all the way.
However, the more I think about it, the more I'm telling myself that I've got too many games on my PS4 backlog...
Which is not the case on Switch, cause I just got the system.
Damn ! xD
@Bobobiwan Whichever version you choose you're likely to end up with a large Switch backlog too
@wazlon I know, it already started, it's horrible !
When you get a system more than two years after its launch, there's just so much to play !
I already have ten game on cartridge, and bought several gems on e-shop as well.
This is hell ! But I like it
@Bobobiwan Well, I got the system on launch and my backlog is so big that I start to frogetting some games I have Getting the system late definitely has its advantages
Looks like the big game this month is a janky remake of a 25 year old game... I'll have a look at Disaster Report demo though.
@Quarth Xenoblade, Shantae and the Seven Sirens, and maybe pick up the Bioshock collection.
maybe Mana. But PS4 is a hell of a lot more exciting over the next 3-4 months and I already have P5R and FF7R to play on it. I just have Xenoblade coming for Switch. I really wish Nintendo would get their act together
@Neoguardian86 Sounds good!
