The Neo Geo Pocket Color exclusive 'SNK Gals' Fighters' has been rated for the Nintendo Switch in South Korea and officially confirmed by the Korean Game Rating and Administration Committee.
The game was first released in the year 2000 and is a one-on-one fighting game with a 2D chibi art style. The all-female SNK cast of characters come together to compete in the 'Queen of Fighters' tournament, which has been organised by the mysterious Miss X. Some of the fighters include Mai Shiranui and Yuri Sakazaki, and all up, there are more than ten characters to take on.
SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy on Switch and multiple other platforms is this title's spiritual successor.
As exciting as this rating may be for Neo Geo fans, there's a possibility it's an early purchase bonus for the upcoming Samurai Shodown NeoGeo Collection. Much like how pre-orders for Samurai Shodown on Switch included a digital copy of the Neo Geo Pocket title, Samurai Shodown! 2.

Didn't foresee a Nintendo system becoming such a good place for fighting games. Glad it is, though.
In my opinion, they should release these in an Arcade Archives format, that way everyone can buy them and more can be made.
A Switch port of Sonic Pocket Adventure would be absolutely amazing!
All I am hearing is : Neo Geo Pocket revival
I've never played this before but MAN that soundtrack rips.
It’s a must have, I wonder if SNK vs Capcom will make it eventually.
Should had been a pre-order bonus for SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy but yeah that would had make too much sense.
I hope they start bringing other Neo Geo Pocket Color games too. I'd love to try SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters Clash.
If it is a preorder bonus for the collection, count me in for a preorder! I'm a sucker for these kinds of things, and I've preordered DBFZ and SamSho Switch for these kinds of things before, so I won't stop now, especially since I was already completely planning on buying this, since I refuse to support virtual console style rereleases by companies/for series that don't already have a collection.
One of the few Neo Geo Pocket games I actually own! XD
Wish that would release these outside of preorders, but they have to get the pricing right as no one would pay £6+ like the Arcade Archives.
I mean come on, AA released the bottom of the barrel of NEO GEO games till they ran out. Why not open that fresh Pocket barrel?
This was my favorite fighter on the system outside of Capcom vs SNK:MotM and Last Blade.
That being said..........DO A DAMN COLLECTION!
And do it right
Is it wishful thinking for Card Fighters Clash?
The question is now will it be coming to the Western version too?
And when does that collection come anyway? They stopped talking about it months ago.
They should just release a NGPC collection. I had one back in the day and it was probably one of my favorite handhelds. It was so cool to own one back in the GBC era.
That sounds hopeful, adored the SNK Heroines game (fave fighter on Switch at the moment) so would love to play the original as well.
"Neo Geo, Neo Geo.
Four bright buttons and two joysticks.
Neo Geo, Neo Geo.
Cool red cab and a name that sticks."
How many people get that reference?
Hopefully its gameplay is the same, I loved these fighters on the NGPC.
I've love it if SNK did some NGPC compilations, the two Metal Slug games were fantastic and were a touch different to other ones. Sonic Pocket Adventure was also excellent.
I also heard mafia 2 have been rated as well...
@Rpg-lover It was rated for "unknown platforms" according to Gematsu (via PushSquare).

Not an SNK fan on any level, but this game is quite fun looking. I'd download it for a reasonable price.
@Liam_Doolan ohh! Okay, didn't know that.
I always wanted to play Neo Geo Pocket games. I could go for a collection of em.
All these fighting games are nice, but what i really want from SNK is a new Metal Slug.
@AstroTheGamosian I love that Keith Apicary song! 👍
Now I want a Joycon with a mechanical switch dpad like the NGP and NGCD!
@BulkSlash One of his best, I'd say. I first heard it in an indie game called "Uncraft Me," although it did not have Keith's voice in it.
Who doesn't like SNK waifu wars?
