Recently picked up all the DS and 3DS entries. It would be nice to see these all remastered for the Switch, but I'm not holding my breath.

I don't see this venture being successful. As others have pointed out, many indie devs aren't going to want their projects overshadowed and simply known as "that game Dunkey published".

Unfortunate but easy enough to avoid. I'll just continue focusing on my backlog until Friday.

I'm hopeful this IP can still be salvaged with a Switch entry or something. With how successful it was on mobile, they can't just throw it away like it never happened.

I'm not going to hold my breath on it being released internationally. Vtubing companies are known for being pretty stingy, so it likely was too expensive for SEGA to release outside of Japan.

@Anti-Matter you don't have to play F2P games, but that doesn't change the fact that they're seriously popular right now and won't be going away anytime soon.

@JayJ @BenAV The game literally has a part where a faction that is heavily influenced off of Soviet Russia is invading another area - eerily similar to what was going on right now in Ukraine and something you're either intentionally ignoring or simply never knew because you didn't play the original game. Had Nintendo released Reboot Camp in April, it would have drawn major criticisms for those similarities and any chance they would have to successfully reboot this IP would have died then and there. At least this way they can prevent that from happening, iron out any bugs still left in the game, possibly add even more content, and have a better shot of getting more entries in the future. It's absurd that anyone is getting upset over this since the game isn't canceled and there are plenty of other titles you can play in the meantime.

@BenAV "Vocal minority"? "Sensitive"? If anything, you're being rude and insensitive for not realizing why this delay needed to happen. Instead of demanding Nintendo to release this game at a bad time and possibly burn whatever chance this IP had of rebooting, you could simply be patient and wait. You'll survive without Advance Wars in 2022, lol.

@Sonos Exactly. The problem seems less to do with the franchise and more to do with people who subject themselves to these games that they seemingly dislike to the core. Move jn, play something else. If you lost interest in Pokémon back in RSE but continued to buy the games almost 20 years later, that's the problem right there.

@DK-Fan Thank you for speaking the truth. Arlo will finally any reason to complain and is one of the most petty content creators around. He actually blocked me on Twitter just because I made a joke that he was gonna do another video about Pokémon Unite when more cosmetics were announced. Again, petty and annoying - sucks that NL is even giving him a platform here.

@BionicDodo I'm in the same boat. I really want to play these but my full-time leaves me with very little free time, and I still want to enjoy the summer weather as well. This might have to be something I attempt when it snows.

@Rayquaza2510 Nah, you're fear-mongering. Optional modes are 100% the way to go and you won't see the same level of optimism shown for forced censorship. If anything, this move might inspire a precedent where players are allowed to choose how much nudity they want to see in their games.

@KnightsTemplar I agree, I'm more excited for other games than this one. What really killed kt for me was the mandatory 13GB update I have to download even if I don't purchase the DLC; not even Pokémon did that.

Wish this would at least be playable on the Switch too, but oh well. I'll probably still check it out.

@OnlyItsMeReid It likely wasn't possible with the initial budget for the game when it was being developed. I do agree that it's likely too late now, I see more interest in Multiversus honestly.

Not sure why this is considered news since Pokémon TV has been cycling through all of the seasons for several years now.

As someone who just got into the series this year and collected everything down to the GBC Monsters games, I cannot wait for more. But bring Heroes 1 & 2 to the Switch already!!!

Took a lot longer than I would have liked, but I'm still super excited to play this. Had a friend who was all about getting it when it was first revealed. He has sadly since passed away so I really want to see it through for him.

@Silly_G I'd say for variety. I love Dragon Quest, but I also like to have slight variations in the JRPG genre. There's no reason why someone can't play Smash and All-Star Brawl.

@RubyCarbuncle Agreed. There are plenty of games I haven't liked, but I don't go out of my way to repeat it online. Some people just can't separate themselves from negativity.

Why people got so hung up about the name is beyond me. Are we going to pretend names like "ring fit adventure" or "final fantasy" are any less straight-forward?

I'm actually playing through this game right now, it's incredibly addicting!

I love have they're holding the actual game cases in the picture, really brings it together. Definitely plan to play this after I finish all of the 3DS entries.

@Drac_Mazoku It's crazy because now in 2022, it is on sale for $10 CAD.

The biggest mistake this game made was releasing an early build in 2020 and not being completed over two years later. Most people have moved on at this point, even more so after the Switch release date was pushed back.
