Capcom has announced The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles has now surpassed 500,000 sales worldwide. This two-in-one package was originally released in July 2021 and contains The Great Ace Attorney: Adventures and the sequel The Great Ace Attorney 2: Resolve.
If you've not played this release yet, be sure to check out our Nintendo Life review, we gave the game an excellent nine out of ten stars:
"The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is two brilliant games for the price of one, and it not only gives us more of what we love, but gives us something that is visually, narratively, and historically deeper than ever before. There's a bit of a learning curve that you'll have to get on top of to meet the game where it's at, but honestly, we couldn't have asked for a better version of the game we've been wanting for years."

Best game(s) of last year.
Still haven't finished it yet since it gets really grating on the mind trying to get through both of them back to back but I'll go back to finish part 2 soon!
Well deserved, absolutely wonderful collection.
The jury have reached a verdict.
And it was good.
Objection!
Not really. Great game and well deserved.
Still need to grab this.
My wife would say Objection!
But i say Overruled!
Good. Now iOS version please.
One of my favorite games of the generation. Such a wonderful experience!
While I'm excited for the possibility of a new mainline entry in the series, I'll admit, I'm sad that my time with Ryunosuke and co. has come to an end. I really grew attached to the wonderful cast in this duology.
And the music!
So glad these finally came over. 500,000 isn't amazing, but it's also not terrible for this genre of game. Hopefully it was successful enough that future games in the series also come over physically.
Well deserved! These two games are among the best in the series. Would rank them above 4, 5 and 6, but slightly below the original trilogy.
Hopefully this means Ace Attorney 7 is in the works.
This is probably a notable success by the series' standard, but Ace Attorney is so good that I want it to succeed far past its expected niche game sales.
I love have they're holding the actual game cases in the picture, really brings it together. Definitely plan to play this after I finish all of the 3DS entries.
‘Scuse Me! Do you have something to say about announcing a sequel, Capcom?
I cry every time I see Lord Van Zieks existing. Let's hope for another great game in the future!
And all that without releasing a physical version in Europe for whatever reason
While the first game was honestly weaker than most Ace Attorneys in my opinion, the second NAILED IT and is one of the best in the series!
As a huge fan of the Phoenix Wright games I found the first Great Ace game to be really slow. Things that could be said in a few words were taken to paragraphs and paragraphs, like they were trying to pad the game out. Not played 2 yet, but characters were all great and stories were cool - just need an abridged version!
@a1904 Anyone that really cared for a physical would have just imported (like myself)
It might be a pain but it is was it is and goes both ways sometimes EU gets physical versions of title that US dont.
@Ralizah your time might not entirely be at an end. Last year Capcom asked in a pool if people would be a Great Ace Attorney 3, so it’s definitely possible we’ll get another.
Well deserved! I am a fan of Ace Attorney and this was by far the greatest game/collection in the franchise. I really hope for a third entry!
I think you can probably tell how I feel about this
Please, please, PLEASE make more AA games though. They're so much fun to go through and see how the characters develop and the twists that the stories can take are astounding. I'm only on Chapter 4 of the original Great Ace Attorney but it's already become one of my favourite games of the year. Please Capcom, thank you very much.
Good news, I hope they decide to make the Miles Edgeworth games too.
Started this a couple of days ago, completed the first chapter and I like it so far, though one thing that's annoying me is the text noise, would rather no text noise or the option to turn it off
Hopefully that leads to AA4 to 6 getting Switch ports soon. Would've rather had those than GAA anyway, especially after having actually played GAA. 2's good, not great, but the only reason I hesitate to call 1 the worst game in the series is it's been awhile since I've played the first Investigations.
That’s good to know it was a success. I hope Capcom can do the same with the Miles Edgeworth Investigation games. And of course, make a new game in the series.
This makes me really ecstatic, as whilst the games weren't my favourites in the series, then selling well could lead to 4-6 and the investigations 1/2 coming to PC, and AA7!
I still need to finish TGAA, I was really enjoying the first game but I just need to be in the right mood to play these games as the cases get long.
First Ace Attorney game I've finished and enjoyed the story, setting, characters and music. Also learnt something about Window Tax, which explains why I see buildings where the window has been replaced by bricks. Learnt some history
@UltimateOtaku91 I wish they had voice for all the text scenes as the voice acting (English dub) is great for the cut scenes where they have this.
I have my Switch copy all wrapped and ready to play… when I actually buy a Switch!
I couldn’t miss out on this so had to buy it ready for whenever I end up buying a Switch. I recently played Apollo Justice and am currently close to finishing Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright. I’ve then got Dual Destinies and Spirit of Justice to play. Hopefully by that point I’ll finally own a Switch and be able to play this.
I do love the Ace Attorney games, glad this one has sold well. I wish we got it over here on the 3DS though.
THEY SOMEHOW MADE KAZUMA AND RYUNOSUKE EVEN GAYER. OH MY GOD
Adventure/Visual Novel games are a niche genre, so it's nice to see Capcom keeping their expectations realistic and not expecting sales on par with their big three IPs which are Monster Hunter, Resident Evil, and Street Fighter.
This hints that we should expect a new Ace Attorney game soon hopefully alongside Mega Man 12.
But now I am a bit curious how the new Ghosts and Goblins did. Capcom highlighted the sales of Mega Man 11 and now The Great Ace Attorney, but I have not heard anything about the newest Ghosts and Goblins game.
@Kidfunkadelic83 Don't wait until it becomes an "impossible to find" physical cart....if you care about that sorta thing.
...sales eems a little low.
I haven't finished this duology but this is great news! I love what I've played so far, and I hope this helps lead to the second trilogy being ported to the Switch, and AA7 soon!
Best music and experience you can have in gaming. Always AMAZING music, fun characters, and good haha moments. Can't wait for more!
