Re: Smash Bros. Pro Loses 11-Year Sponsorship After "Inappropriate Conduct" At Mario Kart World Tournament

And this isn't even the first time he has had a mishap with alcohol. It's honestly surprising that it has taken this long for him to face any consequences, and if you ask me, that's only because of how popular he is. If anybody else pulled the same stunts he did, they would have been banned already.

And the saddest part? He's a father of a ten year-old. How embarrassing.

@Not_Soos Funny how it's only a discussion of "forced diversity" when it's women or people or color. Why do their existence always need to be seen as "genuine" to be taken seriously? This line of thinking baffles me because you never see this type of stuff said if it's a white guy, but it's a woman or dare I say a black woman? Then it suddenly becomes "suspicious" and needs to be justified to happened.

Just because your personal politics are known here, that's not a free pass for you to come in here and constantly repeat it. Women and minorities are very real things in the world, they don't need to justify their existence to you to be taken seriously.

Re: Random: Clair Obscur Director Celebrates Amazing Switch RPG Which Launched On Same Day

Thief

I'm on Day 74, and while I am enjoying the gameplay, I do have criticisms. Weapon upgrading shouldn't be locked behind "free time" since it doesn't consume time, and I've found myself repeatedly just shy of upgrading because the story is progressing again. I also haven't come across any points where I can make a decision other than Day 0, and it really felt like the game was marketing itself as one where you influence the course of events. And with it only being 100 days long, unless those decisions are influenced by how I spend "free time", means the game only allows me to make choices in the last quarter.

All in all, still a fun game but I wish it was less restrictive. Favorite characters are Eito and Kurara!

Re: Switch Online's Missions & Rewards Adds Donkey Kong Country Returns HD Icons

@IOI Or it's the "leakers" who are trolling. It never made sense for Nintendo to announce the next console the same day as a new game being released, even of it's just a port. I wouldn't be surprised if Nate chose that particular day to make a fool out of everyone.

My money is on a February release. No first-party titles are planned for that day, leaving a lot of room for an announcement of some sort.

Re: Ubisoft Closes Two Studios And Will Reportedly Lay Off Hundreds Of Employees

@Edu23XWiiU Because it's very tiring to have these political discussions in gaming spaces, especially one based around Nintendo. And this guy continuously brings up things like Trump and "woke" talking points - all the whole acknowledging that these are indeed against the rules but continues to do so anyway.

Frankly, I think he should be suspended for a week or something. He knows the rules but continues to break them, bringing unnecessary political discussion. There are other spaces he can go to have those discussions, this isn't one of them. When it reaches a point where he is telling us who he voted for in the latest election, enough is enough.

It's pretty ridiculous that @Not_Soos is continuously allowed to post off-topic political comments like this where it doesn't belong. "far-right", "woke", "fascists"; these shouldn't be words anybody should be reading on a website regarding Nintendo games. But constantly, especially in the last few weeks, this user has been pushing the envelope and saying these thing.

Re: Pokémon Gold And Silver Celebrates 25 Years With Commemorative Plush

There was truly something magical about GSC that is hard to put into words. The GBC aesthetic with it's iconic soundtrack and locations has stuck with me even 25 years later. And as amazing as HGSS were as remakes, I more often find myself going back to the original games when I want to revisit Johto.

Time flies.

Re: Saudi Arabia's PIF Further Reduces Its Stake In Nintendo

Thief

@wiiware Really just sounds like you are downplaying it because "consultation bad". I'd rather have things like Nintendo games as far removed from the influenfers of dictators as possible. The involvement of groups like Blackrock is far less severe. So again, very messed up that you'd take Saudi Arabia influence over them considering the abuse their own citizens have to live under every day.

Re: Upcoming Tactics Game 'Warside' Sure Looks Familiar

Thief

@LadyCharlie having discussed this game since it was first announced, a lot of AW fans (myself included) have praised this game and supported it - especially when out side-to-side with Reboot Camp. Especially with the lacking online features, the general consensus with AW fans when it comes to this is extremely positive - thus the "we". If Nintendo won't deliver, let the indies.

Re: Upcoming Tactics Game 'Warside' Sure Looks Familiar

Thief

@LadyCharlie "wish dot com" Advance Wars is what we got with Reboot Camp. Warside looks like everything we wanted from an AW revival, and I fully support this game's release. Nintendo made it clear that they're abandoning this particular art style and genre pairing, so why shouldn't someone else take a shot with it? It's coming to Switch, so it's not like Nintendo even cares how similar it is.

"Local and online co-op is available, and players can also battle each other in PvP matches."

The co-op features are already shaping up to be better too. Like it has to be said, Reboot Camp is bad, and there's a reason why it has still failed to break even one-million copies sold. WayForward dropped the ball, and frankly, I hope they don't get another chance with it. They were too busy promoting an eShop sale for River City Girls on the day that this released, so there's clearly no love lost.

@Haruki_NLI It's no secret that last year's remake pretty much flopped and was pushed out the door. WayForward themselves couldn't be bothered to do more than make a single post with an Advance Wars cake and not say another word about it since. The writing is on the wall with this one sadly, and the IP is probably going back on ice for a while.
