I'm surprised they didn't give details about what the difference is between the paid and free-to-start versions and how much the paid version is. Maybe a March Nintendo Direct will do that along with an exact date?
With all the non-Mario Galaxy stuff in this Mario Galaxy movie, a Super Mario Galaxy 3 feels likely. I mean it also has a Mario Odyssey location as well. A Mario Galaxy game with new levels and "classic" levels where you play on levels from previous Mario games would be cool. Oh well, it's just a theory.
@Maxz To me, it peaked at gen 5. I loved the moving sprites they made for all pokemon in battle and the overworld. Unlike Legends Z-A people in the city moved and rode bicycles and would get out of your way if you walk into them. They could have evolved the artstyle by doing HD-2D as well.
Same with Mystery Dungeon. Explorers of Sky was the peak (in more than graphics) as well. I didn't like it when the 3ds Mystery Dungeons had 3d models.
I don't get the complaints over nipples and privates being censored in this game. The internet has plenty of it you can look at.
Perhaps you should have complained during the days when the localization censored something in Xenoblade X and the Fire Emblem games and people didn't care because it censored something they didn't care about. Now it's affecting something you care about but it's too late now.
The game looks amazing! The amount customisation options is insane. I loved the 3ds Tomodachi Life, so I was always hyped about this.
Nice that they added LGBT+ options for those who are LGBT+, don't know why anyone is complaining about it when they can just choose to not use those options. Too bad there is no concert hall from the 3ds Tomodachi Life though.
@BustedUpBiker As much as I love XC3, I would recommend they start with XC1, then XC2, XC3, then XCX as they are all on Switch 1 and 2. While XC3 can be played alone, XC3 has a lot of references to XC1 and XC2 making certain moments in XC3 hit a lot harder if you know XC1/XC2's story since it is the last of that storyline. XCX is a separate storyline, so next game could be XCX2.
All Xenoblade games are great is just what I'm saying, but it is best to play them in order imo.
The two green ones on the bottom part of the box art are not having a good day. Luigi gets blinded by the clouds and Mario grabs Yoshi's tail which looks like it hurts.
I guess the click bait Youtube thumbnails, Reddit and Twitter were wrong about the Switch 2's failure. They are going to be mad when the next mainline Mario and Pokemon come out and it sells like crazy.
@Hwatt I'm not too surprised. Kirby is very big in Japan, even a spinoff will sell like hotcakes there compared to any DK game.
I have both games and like both very much but I feel like I will put in more hours in Kirby than DK due to the amount of things you can do in it and playing with friends is a blast.
@garfreek Compared to how they did the gen 3 Ruby/Sapphire remake, which was great, BD/SP was not good at being a remake. If you have not played gen 4, then it is good. If you have played them, then this game isn't really worth it.
I hate AI art but I don't see any AI in these pictures. Nintendo doesn't seem like a company that would use AI anyway. I'm sure they have seen the blowback whenever a company uses it.
Wow, do they usually announce these three weeks before it happens? I haven't partook in a Splatfest in a while so I forgot the last time it happen. Also I hope they put out a new trailer for Raiders in January 12, the day after the Splatfest.
It looks like controlling the two characters would be annoying. Having her on his back the entire time just looks weird. In God of War at least the son walks and attacks on his own and you just press a button for arrows.
@Buizel It was generally accepted and predictable back then. Some people could wait until the third version of the generation to come out and buy it. The cost was also cheaper. $40 for the third version plus $40 for the first one. Now its $70 for the main game (Switch 2), $30 for the DLC. DLC used to be $20 as well.
Well, again, the third version of Pokemon was predictable, so people already knew it was coming. I don't recall other games doing other than the enhanced editions and remakes for the next console generation. Announcing DLC before the game comes out makes you wonder why they didn't delay the game and release it completed with that DLC in the game already.
Gamefreak isn't going to come out and say "yeah, this DLC we are releasing later is already done." In only 2 months they were able to create everything in the DLC? All of the art, coding, modelling, coming up with new megas, composing the music, writing, and translations? I doubt it.
@DominionGamma The DS era had the best postgames. gens 4 and 5, and especially gen 2 remake HeartGold/SoulSilver. Even the Pokemon Mystery Dungeons on the DS had great postgames.
@Buizel Back then, it was done (most of the time, I know not always) to port the game to other console generations or handheld game > console. They added content to give people a reason to double dip if they already bought the game in the previous generation.
They also didn't announce they would be releasing the same game with more content later on before the game released. Pokemon Z-A announced the DLC before the game even came out.
They also didn't cut content that was completed already from their games to add later on in a later release. You can't tell me the Pokemon Z-A DLC wasn't already done, the amount of reused assets is immense. I'd say the Donkey Kong Bananza DLC was already done as well. It released way too quick
It's weird that Diddy Kong and Funky Kong aren't in the game. Hopefully it will be a "Donkey Kong series" DLC that adds them in as well. Maybe Baby DK as well to add to the baby roster.
@TheWokesterGamer The "PSC" is a typo, it is supposed to be "PC". In the article it says "Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition has seen the biggest jump in numbers, going from 24th last week to 6th this week; most of those sales have come from the PC and PS5 versions, but the Switch 2 release has pulled in a solid 9% of sales."
There is a physical copy for PC, but only for the original, not the "Ultimate Edition" and I doubt the physical version still sells for new. Ultimate Edition on PC is the original game + Phantom Liberty. It was 50% off this week, so maybe that is why it saw a huge bump in sales
I don't know why it is counted for this week's chart since it is suppose to be physical only I thought.
I'm pretty sure that after a year of these events it will go back around to the first event so that people who couldn't get a chance to do them all can get them.
I'm sure/I hope they are aware that if people keep seeing that they won't be able to get all the content from the $20 DLC, people just won't buy it.
I get that it is convenient to have multiple docks if you have multiple TVs and the official dock is expensive, but I just wouldn't risk buying a third party dock for a $449 or $499 console that could potentially get bricked.
I only got one dock and I just move my dock to the other TV if I want to use that TV. It is a pain with all the wires from my other consoles are all over the place, but it is what it is.
@KoopaTheGamer I know bugs existed since the beginning of gaming, but you usually had to look for them. If you were just playing the game normally without trying to break it, you wouldn't run into major glitches unless you're playing Sonic 2006. it just feels like devs release games before they are finished and then fix the bugs later just because they can. Instead of hiring game testers, they make the consumers the game testers.
@Styledvinny79 The update isn't out on Switch 1/2 yet. The patch notes says the update released on PC November 3rd and consoles will get it in a few days. In the Switch section of the patch list, it says "We are aware that Switch patches have been lagging behind other platforms and taking longer than expected to release. This is due to certification timelines and we intend to release them as soon as possible. " So Switch 1/2 will get it later than other consoles.
