Re: Random: Star Wars Director Appears To Use Pokémon GO To Comment On Angry Fans

Tandoori

I just finished yet another rewatch of the original trilogy over the weekend. They were just as magical and enjoyable as ever.

Which is weird because everyone is bleating about how these movies were "ruined"? They played fine, and I was as captivated and entertained by them as I always have been.

There have been Star Wars movies I haven't enjoyed as much, but to say that a movie you didn't like "ruined" the others is just ridiculous and hyperbolic.

Maybe some people just need to get a grip and stop acting like hysterical spoiled, over-entitled children.

Wow, dude, is this really the hill you want to die on? Internet nerd pedantry at its worst.

Whether you want to call it racist, stereotyping, or culturally insensitive (and unless you're south American indian or pacific Islander, you really have no business in telling anyone else how they should feel about it anyway), content like this has no place on the eShop.

@GameOtaku Just because you enjoyed racist cartoons when you were a kid doesn't mean they weren't racist (nor does it make you a bad person, as you likely didn't know any better). Even Warner Bros acknowledges that those cartoons were racist and has added contextual disclaimers to them on the DVD sets (which I think is a much better idea than banning/vaulting them. We need to own the ugliness of our past culture)

Re: Alien: Isolation Release Date Confirmed For Nintendo Switch

I mean if you don't want to play it then don't buy it. The reason it's so cheap on other platforms is because the development and porting to those platforms was done long ago and they've already made back their investment. But they have now spent more money and time to port it to Switch hardware, so they are going to have to make that money back now. Selling it on Switch at the prices on Steam and other consoles would mean a huge loss at this point.

@DinnerAndWine As opposed to people who start arguments and denigrate total strangers in the comment section of a videogame fan/news site?

Just... stop for a minute and take a look in the mirror, dude. Think about all of the time you have now spent behaving like an arrogant fool here and how that relates to the insults you've been hurling at the rest of us, particularly about "having no life".

Re: See Dan Aykroyd In The New Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered Trailer

The reboot movie was fine. It wasn't a travesty, nothing was ruined, and the original movie is still a classic and the sequel is still... okay. It was a fun movie that had flaws but got way too much flak for the fun popcorn action-comedy that it was. I would honestly love to see a sequel with more of Kate McKinnon's Holtzmann but that's unfortunately not going to happen thanks to angry nerds on the internet who just can't let other people enjoy things.

But I'm super excited for this game. As well as the new movie. More Ghostbusters is always a good thing!

People need to calm the hell down. The paid DLC was mostly completed before launch as it was part of the development cycle. And resources are not being diverted away from performance updates and bug fixes for this. This was pre-planned for years, while bug fixes and development updates need to be addressed as these issues pop up, and have a completely separate team that specializes in these kinds of issues working on it.

It's amazing to me how entitled people who have no clue about game development can be.

Re: "Brutal" Hack And Slash Game Blasphemous Will Torment Nintendo Switch This Year

@Itzdmo Or maybe it's just a style you don't care for. Which is a fine and valid opinion to have but there's no need to wrap it up in some declaration as if you're some kind of revered authority on the subject. You clearly don't understand the context of this game, why people are excited about it, or the appeal of the style for many people.

I will grant you that there are a lot of mediocre games on the eShop that seem to have simply jumped on the pixel art bandwagon that don't use the art style well or in any meaningful way. This isn't one of them. Maybe you're still sick of seeing pixel art altogether - which, again, is fine for you - but maybe get over yourself and let other people enjoy things, or at least provide a take with something of substance.

Rng- Random Number Generation. And it's true that it relies on RNG a lot... Because it's supposed to be a tabletop gaming experience. It's by design. If that sort of thing is not your cup of tea, then games like this aren't going to be your cup of tea. Not sure what people expected as all of the reviews bill this as a tabletop board game/ "D&D lite" experience.
