Earthfall: Alien Horde is set to fire itself onto a Nintendo Switch near you, with an October release being confirmed today.
The game is a revitalisation of co-op FPS Earthfall which previously launched on Xbox One, PS4, and Steam. This new Switch edition features the entirety of the original game plus all of its updates, the online features present in the original release, and an all-new local wireless four-player mode which is exclusive to Nintendo's platform.
Here's a quick feature list to tell you a little more:
A Horde of Content -- 15 unique locations, including 11 campaign chapters, 5 invasion maps, and tons of unlockable items!
Hardcore Co-op -- Drop in, drop out and engage in classic four-player co-operative gunplay inspired by the greatest co-op shooters of our time. Now with local wireless co-op, in addition to online play.
Death from Above -- Fight the horde, a procedurally generated alien menace that makes every gameplay session tense, exciting, fresh, and utterly lethal.
Well-armed Allies -- Become one of four story-driven characters and battle through an alien-infested plot while utilizing advanced weaponry and printable guns.
Constructible Defenses – Strategically place barricades that electrify or set the alien scourge afire. Deploy automatic sentries to create the perfect alien killing zones or set up mounted turrets to achieve firepower superiority.
It'll be available to download directly from the Nintendo Switch eShop on 11th October, with pricing due to be set at $19.99.

L4D with aliens eh? Love me some co-op so will keep an eye on this one...
Whelp, this game was a total flop on every other platform so why not give the switch a try.
Sounds good, need more decent FPS game's and for only 20 quid I could see me picking this up.
Will it support gyro aiming?
So no splitscreen Couch Co-Op?
No Physical option?
Local wireless huh hmmm nice. I might check this out if reviews are okay. I hope there is gyro aiming though, that would also be a welcome addition.
I also want to know if it has motion controls.
I loved both L4D games, so this had piqued my interest when coming out on Xbox One, although I never bought.
If reviews are decent, I'll definitely pick it up.
Your Sister site Push Square gave it a 3/10 review. If it's one of those titles that drops to £0.99 in the future I might take a look =0p
Can't play co-op without voice chat?
Native or stupid app?
Gameplay feels very choppy and it seems like a very short game so yeah unless it's around the $5, I would pass.
Get we get HD ports of The Conduit games instead?
Hopefully, the framerate is stable on day one.
I love FPS so I am game for more but we know the one we are missing that a certain company refuses to bring to the switch.
3/10 on PushSquare makes me really dubious over how much of an improvment this is
@Brazen price point is a big seller. 20 bucks here compared to 60 when released elsewhere.
@Dirty0814 "Your paying for a Physical cart and case and paper cover that comes with it along with marketing costs. Don't cheapen the game already.
I picked this up on Xbox on deep sale and post the various patches and content updates. It was a bit of fun if you wanted some l4d style action on a modern console but never rose much above average (but was better than that early 3/10 review suggests). I was also disappointed at the lack of 4K support as it launched at a time that Xbox x enhancements were becoming ubiquitous on new titles.
World War Z came out later and was a far better take on the L4D sub genre, if somewhat TOO close to L4D in terms of themes and style.
Recent steam reviews paint it as a decent game, after updates. Loves me some l4d style action, so as long as the ports good, I'm in.
