Fire Emblem: Three Houses is getting its own Musou spin-off, entitled Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes.
It's the second Musou game set in the Fire Emblem universe, following on from 2017's Fire Emblem Warriors. That particular game also came to the New Nintendo 3DS.
The game arrives on Switch on 24th June, 2022.

Looks nice, needs more hopes though.
Great, another Dynasty Warriors with a Nintendo skin (sarcasm).
Ah maybe I’ll finally get to know these characters.
YESSSS oml I can't wait! I just finished fire emblem three houses so I really can't wait!
I recently got the first Fire Emblem Warriors game. Once I get around to beating that I may come to this one.
Not the news I was most hoping for but I’ll take it.
Not quite what I had in mind but I enjoyed P5 Strikers well enough so I'll give it a shot
Is this a remake of Three Houses or something? Not really sure what to think of it....
I did enjoy the original Fire Emblem Warriors so this one is up my ally.
Looks pretty cool. Might get this if it runs well
Love it! FE Warriors was great and those games have a LOT of meat on them. This'll be a good one.
does it follow the story?
As a Fire Emblem fan who HATES musou games... what a kick in the teeth.
Exactly what I've been wanting since I played Three Houses. The game has a fantastic cast.
Nnnnnoooo! Where's that Genealogy of the Holy War remake at?
Fire Emblem... OMG... Warriors... Oh
Damn I was hyped until I realised it was Warriors.
Bro I got so hyped when I saw it was FE
Then it became a muso
I was really hoping for a new entry, Genealogy remake or Radiant/Radiance collection.
I’m a bit done with the Warriors games so I’m disappointed and I don’t expect to be convinced but you never know.
I have to finish the Golden Deer route now.
I cried when I heard Dimitri speak ha.
At least it's not xenoblade warriors
@Silly_G considering the rumours, it was a massive anticlimax.
This trailer trolled me pretty hard. I got excited for a proper FE game.
Looks great, I'm gonna pick it up.
Man, it's been a long hot minute since we've gotten a Warriors game.
Koei Tecmo definitely hasn't been releasing enough of these types games, have they?
Damn biggest hype drop when the word “Warriors” appeared!
FETH is in my top 5 switch games but couldn’t be less interested in the Warriors series
Was wanting to get this game but the original didn’t have Three Houses characters so I was just going to wait for a sale for it but now I’ll get it as soon as this releases!!
My excitement at seeing Fire Emblem dropped pretty fast once I saw it was warriors.
I have only played the Hyrule Warrior games. I hated the first one but liked the second because it added to the story for Botw. So I may like this one if it is similar to the last Hyrule warrior one which it seems to be based on the preview.
Man, biggest hype lift when I saw it was set in the three houses world.
FETH is a top 5 switch game for me, consider me fully interested in this!
New Fire Emblem please not dynasty warriors!
@russell-marlow : There must be close to 20 on them on the Switch alone by now! Absolutely ridiculous.
And not a single main series Dead or Alive game!
@Silly_G No DOA or Ninja Gaiden, not even a Nioh port.
I'm genuinely curious how much profit those games make, because it seems it's like the only thing Koei/Omega Force releases. I know the Aetelier games exist, but those are just regular RPGs.
this is absolutely sick though i'm so confused on where it fits in with the storyline tbh, wondering if its another age of calamity situation but with sothis instead of the guardian
@AnnoyingFrenzy and then you saw it was a Warriors game
Wow a lot of people don’t like the warriors games.
Kirby warriors all the way though!
I hope it's a retelling that fixes the story.
Great, another Fire Emblem Warriors game without Ike. GOOD JOB GUYS...
I may get it still
@BongoBongo lol, not my ideal gameplay style for sure, but I enjoyed Hyrule Warriors so I am willing to give this one a shot.
This game has my money in a heart beat if they include co op beyond splitscreen. I'm praying they'll include local co op or/and online co op.... Their last few games have not unfortunately...
Nice.
Really enjoyed FE Warriors and all of its DLC. Glad to see the Three Houses characters again.
Do i need the play FE TH to play this?
Well there goes the Fire Emblem game of 2022. Don't worry though, I bet Intelligent Systems has been working on one since 2019, and it could release as next year's lineup
And knowing how the Warriors games on Switch look, I really hope those are legitimate Switch graphics.
@Ninja84 : It is its own game.
@russell-marlow : We recently got the Ninja Gaiden Master Collection though.
Of course it would be a warriors game. Pretty disappointing.
I would rather have had another round of Fire Emblem: Three Houses DLC.
I don't know what to make of this. I wanted a new FE but not a Warriors game. I've seen more than enough of them lately and as someone who played FE Warriors and didn't like it, I'm not feeling too confident about it. But at the same time it looks like an AU or Golden Route or something for 3H which is interesting. One I'm going to have to watch for.
@Lagster_YT I'm just guessing it, but it looks similar to Hyrule Warriors: Age of calamity.
Where you play an alternate timeline thanks to the little Guardian traveling to the past to change events. In the Three Hopes trailer you get to see House leaders fighting together in what seems to be after school, which never happened in any route.
@Banjo- To be fair the dynasty warriors spin offs are all better than the actual dynasty warriors games, games like persona 5 strikers, hyrule warriors and dragon quest heroes
I still need to finish three houses, I got towards the end and then they released the dlc so I decided to start again, looks like a good time to jump back in
So if this pattern continues, I suppose we can expect Warriors games based off of each new mainline Zelda and Fire Emblem games.
I'm down with that.
I'd rather it be more like P5 Strikers but I'm probably in the minority here.

@Troll_Decimator "Great, another negative post by our local crybaby, the Banjo bear. If you don't like it, go play something else, nobody's forcing you".
Reported.
@Specter_of-the_OLED I hope they add the performance and quality mode in this one too like in the first one
Only if there is Ferdinand von Aegir
Everyone complaining about this like it’s replacing a mainline entry. This should be 90% developed by Koei Tecmo, whilst IS is doing their own thing.

Alternate title: Longtime Fire Emblem Fans Get BTFO
I had asked for this years ago but never thought it would happen. I don't know why KT loves me so much but I am glad that they do...WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Not a Warriors fan at all. I was holding off getting Three Houses due to the rumors of a new Fire Emblem game but this is not what I was hoping for so I will now purchase Three Houses
I thought this was a dlc to the main Fire Emblem Warriors but looks like it’s its own game!! (Unless the 60$ eShop price tag is ridiculously high)
@Ninja84
Not exactly, at the least perhaps watch a few YouTube videos to understand the events of the main game and be familiar with the characters.
@Silly_G That's just a collection, not a new game. While it's nice that we got a minimalistic port of those games, Koei Tecmo keeps churning out these Warriors games like Activision or EA does with COD or Battlefield.
We're not even getting ports of fighting games like Dead or Alive, just the sort of pervy Beach Volleyball game spin-off game instead.
If I am being honest, with how frequently they release these Warriors spin-off games they really slowly start to show how not very unique they are.
I'll pass. I loved the gameplay of FE Warriors, but the majority of the roster were clones which lead to it getting stale fast. Maybe this one will be different, but I couldn't get into Three Houses so I care even less.
Hopefully the story won't be a steaming bucket of liquid poo like age of calamity. I'd appreciate if Musou Devs played the original game before adapting their fanfic to an unoptimised videogame.
Sooner or later, Koei Tecmo will become an outsourced developer for Nintendo rather than simply maintaining a partnership of sorts (at least, for hack 'n slash games... people probably don't want another Other M...)
With this game, my optimism for both Hyrule Warriors and Fire Emblem Warriors is greatly renewed, with hope of seeing more Nintendo franchises join the fray.
Age of Calamity's success (might as well bring up Persona 5 Strikers) must've been the main influencer on Three Hopes. A successor to a Musou spin-off that takes a more serious, mainstream approach, safely being considered "canon" by many fans without much debate aside from inconsistencies.
I'm not a Fire Emblem fan, but I do expect this game will be a very fun one. I do have to say though, that this hate for Age of Calamity is really starting to bug me, even though I understand why people hate it.
The original Fire Emblem Warriors game preceded Three Houses by about two years. I hope the gap isn't so wide this time.
To me, it's bad news. I really enjoy FE games but I absolutely cannot stand Warriors games whatosoever. They're just no fun for me. So the bad news is that the chances for a real FE game decrease with this news. And my personal dream would be a remake (or even a reedition) of any of the 2D iterations.
Huge disappointment with this announcement from me. I’m not a fan of musuo games, and I knew, with this announcement, that genuinely new Fire Emblem games may be further away than I expected. I love Three Houses too. It’s one of my favorite games on the Switch, a contender for my favorite Switch game of all. Would rather have had a genuine sequel, or a port of an older game than another Dynasty Warriors in Nintendo Clothes.
Cool, but I'm kinda tired of Dynasty Warriors games, haven't even played Age of Calamity
Please let Seiros be playable in her true form...please oh please....
I hear this is a sequel or spinoff to Three Houses? I'm excited either way hehe .
1 Fire Emblem game on Switch (ok two if you count the NES one) and 4 yes 4 DW reskins! What are Nintendo thinking?
@lacaras4
Age of Calamity is a different beast. It was made to feel more like a Zelda game (at least, BotW) than a Musou. Persona 5 Strikers certainly did it before that, and I would expect the same from Three Hopes.
Glad this is what's happening this year instead of a remake or mainline game because there are a ton of tactics games already coming out. Also 3 Houses was only 2 and a half years ago. New games take time. A remake could take that but a not a new game.
Sucks that the limited edition isn't coming with a soundtrack set this time around.
Even though the first game had come with 3 CDs, it was not exhaustive (as track variants were not included, and there is yet to be a complete soundtrack release elsewhere).
I think I'll skip the limited edition this time around unless the price difference is negligible (and considering the presence of the art book, I doubt that it will be).
I only got around to Age of Calamity this year and I had a surprisingly good time with it so I'm definitely on board for this, especially given how much I enjoyed my time with Three Houses. I do have one issue so far, mind, where is Male Byleth?
I'm sure he'll be in it, I just find his design much better.
I actually like these hack and slash games and I love Fire Emblem. So it therefore follows....
I liked the last Fire Emblem Warriors game as well overall
This one lost me as soon as I realized it was another "Warriors" spin-off as opposed to a proper Fire Emblem game. I realize the Warriors titles have their fans, but I'm just not one of them.
I didn't see any mention of Koei Tecmo in the trailer. Are they making this or has it been brought in-house?
honestly I was so hyped and happy to see Fire Emblem in the direct. made a comment to my brother a few days prior on how I would love a Warriors game based of Three Houses and here we are. feeling a tad bummed with all the negativity its getting from both fans and non-fans of FE but I'm still really happy, and looking forward to it
sometimes I wish we could live in a society where we all just respected each other and our likes/dislikes instead of being so negative about it. maybe I'm being too sensitive about it but I guess that's the price of being a Fire Emblem fan these days
I'd like to try one of these warriors games since my last one was on PS2 if they ever went cheaper than the regular "sale" Nintendo published game price..but they won't..so I probably won't either.
@MythTgr That's because it has "Zelda" in the title. Brand recognition is strong and I imagine Hyrule Warriors, the previous game before Age of Calamity, didn't sell as much as the Nintendo endorsed spin off game.
The way Koei Tecmo pumps out these games, I wouldn't be surprised if there was an Age of Calamity 2 released after the Breath of the Wild sequel. But I can't imagine it would sell as well because I think some people were duped into thinking this was a mainline Zelda game. After two entries, people would probably be burnt out already.
I enjoyed the first FE Warriors game, on 3DS! This was the period before i had a switch..
