Following the popularity of Two Point Hospital, which helped to revive the comedic sim stylings that some may have recalled from Theme Hospital, there's been plenty of anticipation for the follow-up - Two Point Campus. Originally due on 17th May, Two Point Studios has confirmed that it's now been pushed back to 9th August.
The reasons are sound - the studio wants to ensure the best game possible across all platforms, which range from Switch to PC, and all current PlayStation and Xbox models.
As you know, one of our biggest goals with Two Point Campus is to launch on PC and console platforms from day one, and we want to make sure that every single one of you gets the best quality game no matter what you're playing on. So in order for everyone to have the incredible experience we all want you to have, we need a little more time to continue our optimisation efforts for all platforms. Now don't get us wrong... we're nearly there! So the extra three months we have is going to really help us get Two Point Campus to the quality you've all come to expect from us as a studio.
Hopefully it'll be worth the wait - a little delay to our studies isn't the end of the world, right?

That's unfortunate. To be fair, I believe the console editions of Two Point Hospital were delayed a few months from the original release date, so it is not without precedent. But I do have faith in this studio that it will be good.
Did anyone else notice you can’t purchase Two Loimt Hospital on Switch (NA) right now? Or am I the only one with that problem? I thought I’d check that out while I wait.
They got held back because they didn’t study enough and failed their test

Didn't Doom Eternal and Dying Light 2 also promise this yet still delayed the Switch version?

I'm okay with this delay. Take the time you need and don't crunch, developers.

Man two point hospital is great. Definitely the type of management game we need more of on switch. Can’t wait for two point campus but if it needs more time to be considered finished I’ll happily wait.

Two point hospital was one of the few well optimized games of this style on the switch so I'm sure that they're taking the time they need to make sure that this game meets that standard too.
Leaves me some time to beat that Roquefort Castle level in TP:Hospital then. Great!
This make me wonder if they have to pay any sort of penalty to Microsoft, seeing this is a day one release on Game Pass and I'm sure that contract involved wording to make changing the release date less desirable.
I personally think games should be delayed if they are not ready, and I hope that's not the case, but it's an interesting possibly I hadn't considered.
These guys are appealing to my nostalgia for The Sims 2: University with this one.
I’m not even close to completing Two Point Hospital, so there’s still time to do that in preparation for Campus.
