The Hitman games are amazing, if you haven't played them, you absolutely have to. Looking forward to finding more about the 007 game, but it's in great hands, iO have been consistently great.

Bloodborne is a great game, but it's too similar to the other Souls games. This looks like it has a lot more of its own identity. Probably still gonna be reminiscent to an extent, but there's enough distinct stuff here to make it stand out for me. The setting is very interesting.

One more platform to flop on.

This is the only thing that could possibly get me more hyped than a new 3D Mario game. A 3D Donkey Kong game made by the Mario team. Guaranteed to be an absolute banger. And I love DK's redesign. This game looks amazing.

First impressions are always by people that have special early access to the movie and have incentive to say positive things so they can continue having said access. Couldn't possibly care less about their opinion.

Dammit, these games are coming out faster than I can play them. I still haven't started Daybreak.

These crossovers make me want to play it less, not more. Doesn't help that they change established characters to fit their "modern agenda" either.

@Emacster As far as I know, Nintendo has never sold at a loss, so it is quite unlikely that they will.

@GravyThief It's all about proper leadership and oversight. With people from Nintendo overseeing this project closely, they wouldn't let it slip in quality. If it wasn't where it needs to be, they would not release it.

People often assume non-exclusive is a strictly positive thing, but for a studio with limited resources, it can be massively to the detriment of the end product. It's a lot easier to make a rock solid game on a single platform, than across many platforms. There are countless headaches that come from multiplatform development, and even having too do your due diligence and test on every platform by itself is a pain, let alone any platform-specific functionality. I'm more worried about performance now than I was before.

It always amazes me how some people in 2025 still cannot comprehend the concept of scarcity and demand.

Maybe they should have tried making some great games instead of focusing on social commentary, that would have helped their bottom line.

I gave it a 10 because it seems to be exactly what I wanted. Do I wish they showed more? Sure, but I was expecting just an announcement of an announcement or something, so anything more than that was welcome.

@MSaturn Its scores across the board from media and fans are much lower than the original, so there isn't really any argument to be had there. I don't think anyone that has played both would prefer the remake. Not that it's worthless, but it just doesn't hold a candle to the original.

Anyway, this "demake" seems very interesting. I would probably give it a shot, if it was official.

They really milked this series dry. It was a good one-off game, there was no reason to have all these sequels.

@AlexSora89 It's just an industry hugbox where the big publishers pat each other on the back for another year of losses and saving the company by shutting down a couple more studios. Nintendo is winning so hard it ain't even funny anymore. This GOTY show is entirely irrelevant to the general consumer.

Very tired of these big Sony and Microsoft acquisitions, followed by studio rot and demise without fail, of course.

@GOmar "Plenty" is not the majority, I wanted to see the perspective of professional reviewer that has never played a Horizon game before. That will be the vast majority of people buying this title on the Switch. That's what I was hoping for in this review, but it is not different to what you would read on a Playstation website.

The comparisons with the mainline games seem mostly unnecessary, most of us have never played a Horizon game, we are on a Nintendo website.

@Iconoclysm It doesn't matter who becomes a monopoly, they would turn into ***** the moment they get that lion's share, it always happens historically in every facet of human life.

The monopoly Unreal Engine is starting to establish in the AAA space is a very big problem. Unity and other engines need to step up pronto.

The whole controversy thing barely matters whatsoever when it comes to sales. Most people are not even aware of it. If anything, for such a small, niche product, having that exposure is probably a boost. The reality of the situation is that the game simply was not enticing enough for people to buy in its current form. The creators did not read the market well and created a game very few people were interested in. That's all there is to it

If all these games are on cart, this will be a fantastic collection and I'm buying it day 1.

Super Mario Bros 2 is very underrated, one of the greatest games of all time in my book. These days I enjoy it more than SMB3 or SMW due to its sheer uniqueness. Its influence to the entire series with the pick up and throw mechanics is massive, despite initially not being a Mario game at all.

Anyway, Super Mario Odyssey is the best game in the series. Mario is one of those series that keeps getting better with every new game.

Very excited for this game. I always enjoyed the Mario & Luigi games, but reusing the same 2D sprites for years had lost its lustre, this new art direction should really boost this series' popularity.

@SodaPop6548 It's true though, have you ever watched a movie at 60fps? It just doesn't look great. Much more difficult to suspend disbelief. Well documented phenomenon. For this type of game, based on a low frame rate cartoon, 30fps is perfect, and they can use the extra juice to boost the visuals.

@pizzagroom Except that is not how patents work. There is a reason why Nintendo themselves only filed the patent with the release of Pokémon Legends Arceus. They would not be able to file it without having it tied to an actual realized invention.

The way I see it is that Nintendo wants to perform a full scale investigation on how Palworld was made and if any illegal practices were involved, such as importing ripped Pokémon models and modifying them. They might be thinking this is the easiest way for them to get though the door and blow the case wide open.

Looks great, definitely playing this, a real shame about the awful censorship though. I wonder if we should blame Square Enix, or the ratings boards increasing their requirements to get a reasonable rating.

Very excited for this, I can't wait to play it on my Switch 2.

As any game developer worth their salt will tell you, AI is barely usable for anything meaningful, unless you are operating on a shoestring budget and have no choice but to generate assets. However, even then, you will end up with something incredibly generic. For the odd job here and there like creating small icons for abilities or items, it's okay, but that's about it.

Nintendo can knock some sense into the AI fanatics.

I really hope they release more Lego sets, would love to see a King of Red Lions one, or even Outset Island.

SwitchUp said they didn't have any big technical issues on Switch overall and that it is a solid port, now I'm confused.

@MiltonHolmes I mean, they did succeed, they sold a lot of copies for a new IP of an unknown developer. However, their game wouldn't ever be so popular if their designs were not copying off Pokemon, if we are being honest with ourselves.

They really need to open up a European publishing branch, their shipping and import costs are simply unbearable for us.

They can call it Shire all they want, but nobody will recognize this as Tolkien.

I will probably still buy the game, but Square-Enix should be ashamed about the disgraceful censorship in this remake. They are spitting on Toriyama's grave mere months after he passed. But this is exactly why the originals can never be replaced by remakes.

Not a fan of the MSPaint visuals either, but seems great otherwise.
