The Wii U has already been abandoned and left in the dust, and years later Nintendo comes back to see the owners of the system still using it for custom online activities?
NO! The No-Fun-Allowed Police has ordered you to stop playing the Wii U at once! ... Please purchase the Nintendo Switch instead to help us reach our sales goals!
Perhaps Nintendo spent most of it's money on going after Switch emulators than attempting to stop the leaks.
Really though, it's as if Nintendo has their heads in the sand. There's solid evidence that their next big secret console is in the leaks and they're not doing anything about it or showing any signs of life on the matter. Ignoring the problem will not make it go away.
The reason why many people are not believing that this is real is because the "Switch 2" looks exactly like the original Switch.
But what if the successor will be in fact very similar to the original, in terms of appearance?
Will fans accept the truth or reject reality and substitute their own?
First Press Games is far the worst company compared to Limited Run Games. First Press Games is Ponzi Scheme and anyone who has preordered from this scummy company (physical games of Goodboy Galaxy and Chained Echoes for example) would have to wait YEARS before we will see those games released (no exaggeration).
"A Ponzi scheme is an investment fraud that pays existing investors with funds collected from new investors."
The "Switch 2" will certainly not get a price cut in the US after Trump's upcoming tariffs, unless Nintendo would be so kind to move their HQ and factories here.
It's interesting they've announced the game's release in March and yet no news or hint of the Switch 2.
The popular theory was that the Switch 2 was set to drop in March or Spring, but what if Nintendo will once again push the date to mid or even late 2025 to squeeze the last drop from the original Switch since their sales are still doing well-ish?
Because the Nintendo Switch is still in continuation, any "emulation" of it would be considered piracy. Just wait until the Switch's life time is over, then you can do what you want.
Emulation is for preservation of games and consoles that came out decades ago, not for something that is still available. It doesn't matter if the console's hardware is easy to hack, it's still piracy. Nintendo is well within it's rights to shut Ryujinx down. Case closed.
Hmm.. if they're announcing Christmas bundles now, it seems unlikely Nintendo would reveal the Switch 2 until next year. Otherwise it would hurt their sales.
The only reason why Nintendo is suing them now instead of earlier is because the game became popular, made millions, and sort of resembles the Pokemon characters.
@DotNet I feel as though someone who defends AI by writing a convincing comment is also using ChatGPT to "assist" with their argument in order to make a point.
These types of people have zero critical thinking skills or creativity and have to rely on artificial "intelligence" to speak on their behalf or generating art for them, while having the audacity for them to call it "My Art".
The word 'Retro' has lost all meaning in the gaming culture. It was originally meant for something nostalgic that came out 20 or 30 years ago. The Gamecube fits this title, but Shovel Knight does not. In another 10 years he will finally earn that title.
I've never played the original Dragon Quest games even though I grew up during that era. Pokemon was just more fun for me and therefore any opinions I have are biased.
Recently I tried playing through the first three, but couldn't play for long because of the dated visuals. These HD remakes makes the gameplay look much more bearable and engaging, I might try these games again.
It's weird waiting years for an indie game to get a physical release, but it pays off when it actually happens.
It's unlikely but I'm still waiting for physical copies of 'Everhood' and 'Steve Jackson's Sorcery' which I hope will release sometime before the end of the Switch's lifetime.

Re: After Almost 30 Years, Japan Finally Has A New Best-Selling Pokémon Game
This was the first Pokemon game that has stopped me from acquiring it to my physical collection. Pokemon Arceus will be my last for the Switch.
This news alone will only encourage 'Game Freak' to release half baked games in the future, knowing it will sell no matter what.
Now excuse me, kids. I'm going back to playing Romhacks.

While it was entertaining at first, to say the least, I'm certainly over with any more news from the "Freak Leak".

That's pretty cool! Maybe they can do Christopher Lee from Hammer Horror next.
Re: Blizzard Revives 'Overwatch: Classic' In A New Limited-Time Event
LOL, "Limited", and then right back to the usual 5v5.
This is just to lure in their old fanbase based on nostalgic gameplay.

Of course this game is selling like crazy, it's good!
They don't need to this site and look at the abysmal review and assume the game's too hard and not play it?!
Re: Review: Yakuza Kiwami (Switch) - A Decent Port Of An Ambitious, Frustrating Game
Aw, the game too hard and I must lower the game's score to make myself feel better?

Re: Nintendo And Pokémon File Lawsuit Against Palworld Developer Pocketpair
If Nintendo is suing because they think they own the "RPG monster-collecting genre", Dragon Quest would like a word.
In fact, Game Freak was inspired by Dragon Quest to make Pokemon!

This will be an entertaining lawsuit.

This rumor dated back a year or more that the 'Switch 2' will be backwards compatible. This is just a hype post.
