Following on from the delay of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Zynga's new "free-to-download" title Star Wars: Hunters has now also been delayed until 2022.
The news the game would not make a 2021 release was delivered at the end of a new cinematic trailer featured on Nintendo's YouTube channel. The same title will also be available on mobile devices next year.

Taking center stage, the shrewd dark side warrior Rieve wields her red lightsaber while Aran Tal, the Mandalorian stalwart, showcases his quick trigger finger and opposition to those who thirst for the dark side. As the trailer ends, a wider look at the Arena complex is seen as the Hutt Ship, the command center hovering above the action, comes into view."
Although there's no actual game footage in the above cinematic, last week the first screenshots of the game surfaced online. There was also some gameplay shown during Apple's event earlier today:

If you watched the Apple keynote today there was gameplay footage of Hunters running on new iOS devices. From the glimpses, it looked ok. Not enough to make a firm judgement but at least it was actual gameplay and not just a cinematic trailer.
I mean it looks okay but like especially after Jedi Fallen Order being so good and the announcement of the KOTOR remake I honestly couldn't care less about any other Star Wars games other than those two
@Supadav03 I've added this in. Funny how the PR only included the cinematic.
I'm going to watch this later, I really hope it doesn't look to Mobile.
It may never come out and I wouldn't care.
Two Jawas as a character, I’ll be honest, that one sold me. And looks like a fun game, I’ll wait to see more of it.
Between this and lego Star Wars, these delays are killing me!
Just want some light hearted fun Star Wars man!
Free to play only if you aren't required to have Switch Online.
@dojmin All f2p games like on the switch does not need an NSO subscription so yeah it is free.
Gameplay sneak peek looks ok and much better than the leaked screenshots. Just remove the mobile commands overlay for more screen real estate on the Switch and we're good.
@Liam_Doolan It would be really interesting to see how mobile games perform on Switch in terms of their sales. We've seen mobile ports throughout the Switch life cycle, but it seems to be increasing and the gap between releasing on mobile and then Switch reducing - day and date is not uncommon now.
Is there really a big market for this, when Switch has so many quality games you cannot buy on a mobile?
The thought of a Zynga game on Switch sends a shudder down my spine, personally!!
I'm not a fan of pay-to-avoid-grind mechanics. I'd rather buy a game than get involved in transactional gameplay. If it is just cosmetic skins , I'd give it a shot.
F2P new canon SW game? Yeah, easy pass. But I'm sure there will be some folks out there who burn thousands of dollars in a game like this. Zynga loves those folks. Same as Epic and Tencent.
it will be generic freemium phone crap. Not worth it anyway
The cinematic trailer was fun, very Star Wars-esque. I'll watch the gameplay from the Apple presentation. The screenshots look good. Will keep an eye on this one.
@Snatcher
I mean it is free to play so graphics ain’t the most important thing
That's ok, they can delay it forever. Even if I liked the genre, the characters are so cringe.
