Immortals Fenyx Rising is a game about Greek Mythology and a hero named Fenyx, but in the new DLC - which launches today - players will take on the role of Ku, in a quest inspired by a Chinese myth called "Nuwa Mends the Heavens".
The Myths of the Eastern Realm DLC is a self-contained story about Ku trying to help the goddess Nuwa to restore the gods and save humanity, solving puzzles similar to the base game's Vaults of Tartarus, and using new abilities to defeat monsters and demons. These abilities include Nuwa’s Agility, Blades of Huang Di and the Axe of Yan Di.
The DLC's new open world was designed and led by Ubisoft Chengdu, the company's second studio in China after Ubisoft Shanghai. It takes its inspiration from traditional Chinese art, with tall, jagged peaks and classic Chinese architecture.
Myths of the Eastern Realm is available for $14.99, or you can buy the Season Pass for access to all the DLC for $39.99/£32.99.

What an underrated game! I hope to see more DLC and players need to support the game more! It's price has almost halved everywhere.
MMMM if it was not for a financial commitment to a Zelda SS pre-order, I might be tempted to get this as it does look pretty good?!
I've really been enjoying this game, scratches the BotW itch, but I think I have enough to play that I don't need to extend this game's lifetime to tide me over until the Sequel.
I really enjoyed the base game, but does anyone know how long this second DLC is?
This game will be on top 10 hidden gems lists years from now
I'm really happy to see non-Western pantheons explored. More!
This DLC looks awesome!! I love how quick all the DLC has been coming out. I just need to catch up now so I can play this lol.
Loved the main game but avoided all the DLC, may get one ifthey do it all on one cartridge in the future.
Fantastic game, even the fairly on-rails first DLC is fantastic fun, mostly being a collection of challenge "vaults" with more multi-layer Zelda-like elements. Looking forward to this new theme.
I frankly thought I would already be downloading the game tonight, but Ubisoft sales prove unpredictable. 😆 Still, I hope to get it pretty soon. Not sure when I'll allocate the budget for the DLC, but they're tempting me as well - this one particularly so.
DLC? This should probably had been a sequel. DLC usually means its going to be brief relative to the base game. The trailer looks cool, I think it deserves to be its own game. I think it looks much cooler than the original game ( Immortals, not Breath of the Wild =P).
@CrazyMackenzie
Quote from Gameskinny "With two islands to explore, neither as big as the base game's main realms, and nearly every quest tied to the central story, there's about 10 hours of content here."
They gave it an 8.
Pros
Less familiar mythology means more surprises
Remixes on familiar puzzles and enemies
Streamlined intro
Still clever and funny
Good length
Cons:
Similar story beats
Some elements feel tacked on or glued together
Narrative structure isn't as successful
Seems like a better fit for a full-blown sequel than a DLC
@DEEZ_NUT_DA_MAn You are so right! I got this game at the beginning of March and am really enjoying it.
I own the base game and dlc on two platforms; Xbox and Switch. Unfortunetly, you have to purchase the dlc on both platforms to get access to it. The game is fun, but I would say it's much easier (or accessible) than BOTW. I'm just commenting this as some may want more challenge. FYI, I'm a Dark Souls player. Anyway, the base game is good. I still have not tried the dlc, but I'm getting around to it. Buy this game. Keep an eye out for sales, if short on money.
Sounds like this is completely unrelated to the main game? I'm 30 hours in and enjoy this game a lot. Not sure I need more though, main game is quite long.
The dlc is decent its just a reskin of the main games assets to give it a chinese mythology makeover. Its a bite-sized adventure
I've always categorized this game under "Looks cool. I'll probably pick it up on sale some day" But honestly, all the love it's getting in this comment section makes me feel like I should bump it up on my list.
@FredsBodyDouble it is, it's a different character, save file, etc.
I've liked what I played so far, and the idea of a shorter story might be perfect for me before Pokémon Snap comes out. It IS, however, just a reskin of the base game, keep that in mind.
I wish I had bought just that one because I hated the first DLC and didn't even finish it. Oh well...
Can you customize Ku? Like play as a woman instead?
The control scheme was too annoying. Just really turned me off from getting heavy into the game. Oh well 🤷🏻♂️
Yuck. No thanks
@nhSnork usually there is a massive Easter sale with Ubisoft, so maybe hold on till then 🤷♂️
