I highly recommend Trauma Team for anyone interested. It does the motion control really really well. It's not all about surgeries though. It has a detective game section that really brings the story to life. Plus it has co-op!
@Mister_Wu I can understand that but I also would think that after a certain amount of units sold it wouldn't be very profitable to continue pushing it. But I dunno much about them economics.
Interesting. But why Mario Kart 8? Nintendo hasn't made much mention of the game in awhile.
It'd be neat if they announced DLC there but I can't think of a reason why they'd want to push more MK8 units when they have Splatoon and Smash that are more recent.
I don't know why people are complaining about pre-order bonuses. Ultimately a business is there to make money so why wouldn't they want a consumer to buy their product as soon as possible. If a bonus is enticing enough for me to take the dive immediately rather than waiting for the bargain bin I'm all for it.
I find it pretty hard to believe that games like W101 and Bayonetta can play on the Wii U and a game that uses sprites and such doesn't. Perhaps I don't really now what all goes on in Binding of Isaac but it does sound to me like a bit of an excuse to not optimize the code a little for the system. Sounds like someone didn't do proper garbage collection in their code in the first place.
I dunno if I like Bowser being the bad guy in the RPGs anymore. Considering how empty the story was in Sticker Star.
I like the stories in Paper Mario TTYD and Super Paper Mario better because the developers aren't restricted to a certain character set. They can make up all kinds of weird characters.
I would've love to see this concept expanded upon a lot more. Granted we already have Bit Trip Void. So it's not like this hasn't been done before, and better.
That said, I always did like the dude's logo. Something about it is nice on the eyes.
@Zizzy If you watch gameplay videos of project guard you can see Star Fox logos on the cameras.
That and the fact that Platinum Games seems to be helping on Project Guard as well as Star Fox Zero leads some to believe it's going to be a mini game of sorts in Star Fox.
I had a weird feeling this would be announced today. I expect that we'll get some solid dates for games releasing next you. I wouldn't be surprised if Zelda U get's a spring/summer release date (but they usually set those up for November).
@Mk_II While this is the first (and I think the only) US release. It definitely isn't the first Twin Bee in the series. If you want that one, I think Konami released a 3D classics version on the 3DS eShop.
I will definitely give both the Wii and Wii U versions a go. Hopefully the experience isn't so flawed that I can't have the patience to play it. We'll see...
Twinbee was a cool series. Although without a manual it's a little hard to figure out some of the mechanics. The bells change color every couple of times you shoot them, and each color bell gives you a different ability when you collect them. That mechanic was always cool to me, I'm not sure if this version has that many colors in it, judging by the review.
It should be noted that in the Japanese version of this game, it supported up to 3 players. So it's a little sad we got the American version instead of the Japanese one. On the other hand, we rarely get the foreign versions of any VC games.
Amazing Spider Man would've been awesome if it didn't get rushed out the door for the movie tie-in release. But unfortunately, I think Activision pushed them to get it out.
I bet this would've been expensive back in the day. Having backwards compatibility with carts and a disc drive on board is a lot of tech in one package.
Is this confirmed? It's a pretty big chance it's true. But I'm not sure we should assume something like that without confirmation Neato if it is though, Nikki always seemed like a fun person. (and is pretty much the only person I got mail from)
I'm so excited. A Pokemon fighting game sounds like tons of fun. And it seems to mix up 2D and 3D fighting style's pretty well. I'm just hoping the moveset is fun to use. I can't imagine it being very difficult considering it's probably trying to pull normal Pokemon fans in. But I'm hoping it's pretty deep at the same time.
Aside from the Sonic games, I don't recall SEGA putting out bad games as of late. We got Hatsune Miku games that are doing well. Company of Heroes 2 released to good reception a few years back. They purchased Atlus and haven't seemed to messed them up at all. Alien Isolation was a solid licensed IP. They even helped get Bayonetta 2 out the door with their connections to Nintendo.
Really, aside from the Sonic games, SEGA doesn't seem to have a terrible track record.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles would be awesome. But I can see Star Wars getting it. Perhaps KT would work with EA to get one out. I'm sure EA wants to milk as much of that license as possible.
I would not mind if you did a review on the Snoopy game. I remember loving Vs. the Red Baron on the PC. Other Peanuts games are ok if I remember right, but they tend to be restricted to kids games.
As a platformer, I wonder how Snoopy's Grand Adventure plays out.
I'm glad there is no motion controls. I've always consider Mario Sports games to be the more arcade-y like game and Wii Sports can be the motion controlled one.
I hope there is a good ranking system like how some fighting games have and lots of court variety like Power Tennis. I played that game a lot, I found it to be really intense, especially later on in the game.
There's a reason departments in a company need to work separately, so the ideals of one department doesn't conflict with the development of another.
On the other hand I think Miyamoto is probably the head of all design divisions so it's probably his job to slap down some budget issues. I too agree it's a little unusual to spend a lot of money on story before even getting gameplay design down.
I agree Miyamoto controls a little too much on Nintendo game development (removing story from Sticker Star is my least favorite thing he did) But I think I can stand behind him on this one.
I feel like everytime SEGA releases a new Sonic game they say that.
I would not mind a return to the adventure formula. Those games were by no means perfect, but if made a new engine to replicate the feel of it and remove event he slightest trace of glitches it would be a good game.
I heard the Wii version is pretty good with the motion controls. It's a little bit more accurate to point and shoot then move a recticle with a control stick and shoot.
It'd be neat if one day Nintendo used their old slogans again. Imagine the nostalgia factor they'd get if they said "Now you are playing with power" again.
30 is a good deal. But Dell has been offering super good rebates for a lot of games lately. It's possible they are skipping the rebate process entirely and just giving you the game at a discount equal to it's supposed rebate.
I feel like none of those games have anything to do with monsters aside from Zelda. I mean unless you include that most of the enemies from Mario games are based on mythical japanese creatures.

Re: Video: New Mighty No. 9 Trailer Aims to Bring Back the Hype
I still really wish it had the 2D art like that one single concept art they showed us so long ago.
I'll still get it, might be surprised by it. But I'm not really fond of the dash mechanic it seems to base the game around.

Re: Poll: Nintendo's Free-to-Play Experiments - Are You Still Playing?
I haven't touched any of their games yet. More than likely though I will pick up Pokemon Picross. Since I like a good Picross game.
Re: Video: New Hollow Knight Trailer Shows Off Some Ferocious Foes
Looks beautiful. I'm a sucker for 2D animation.
Re: RCMADIAX Announces Skeasy, Expected to Release in Q1 2016
Can't say I hate the art style. Looks kind of nice.
But man there is always so much you can do with this kind of concept. Why does he just stick to the basics?

I like the pixel art. It's really close to the Braid concept though.
Re: Capcom "Will Consider The Possibility" Of Supporting Nintendo NX

Is there anything like Bill Rizer from Contra, Simon Belmont, or even Snake in there?

Re: CyberGadget's Ridiculously Well-Equipped Retro Freak Console Begins Shipping Tomorrow
@Mogster I thought I remember Hyperkin talking about compatibility with N64 titles. https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2014/03/nintendo_64_support_teased_for_a_future_hyperkin_retron_console
I like this, there are a lot of decent PC Engine and Grafx games (good ol' hudson soft). I wouldn't mind the Retron 6 being able to host those games.
Now I need a system that does all that, plus Neo Geo games, and we'd have an entire generation of consoles in one system.
