As many of you are likely aware, Project X Zone 2 is only a few months away from releasing in the West. The three company crossover extravaganza is set to be even more massive than the original, with more franchises being represented and more characters than ever before. It's also worth noting that this will be releasing in a rather quiet month for the 3DS, and will no doubt be a source of much entertainment in an otherwise dry period.
In order to try and drum up some hype, Bandai Namco recently revealed on Twitter that the game will also have some exclusive pre-order bonuses for those who pre-order in North America. Here's what'll be given away:
- 3DS home screen theme
- Challenge Stage (The Woman From 10 Years Ago)
- Sun Sword (Overseas Exclusive)
- Diamond Medal Accessory
- Amethyst Medal Accessory
What do you think? Will you be picking this up? What are you most looking forward to from PXZ 2? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Whenever I read or hear "preorder bonuses", I wanna strangle the developers for that nonsense, especially when it involves exclusive items and/or content! It's such a lousy lever to make people preorder, instead of simply leaving it to the game being interesting enough!
It's ironic that preorder bonuses and other such incentives are more likely to put me off of a game. I just see it as content locking others in general and it sours me towards purchasing at a later date. That being said, DLd PXZ1 for £6 and have barely touched it, if I get round to playing this it'll probably be when it's that cheap again.
I'd rather get the limited edition.
I wonder if that's physical or digital. I already got my copy preordered because I loved the first one.
@Kaze_Memaryu It's probably the publishers who do it, not the developers.
I HATE pre-order bonuses, but I LOVED the first game, so I've already had the game preordered.
Pre-ordered but not for the bonus!
@blackice85 But don't developers have to agree to it?
I was going to get this on day one, but Fire Emblem Fates follows its release by a couple weeks now. These preorder bonuses aren't enough to make me wait until after I'm done with that, at least.
I like first print and/or bonuses for games I really want, but honestly it's just the difference between buying digital and buying retail. I'm not into buying games JUST because they have a soundtrack or a theme or whatever.
Those bonuses do look cool, but I don't think I'll get this. The first one was good, but pretty simplistic. To me, it's like the strategy RPG version of Marvel Vs. Capcom. Good to pick up and play, but not the kind of thing I'd play more than once.
I don't know why people are complaining about pre-order bonuses. Ultimately a business is there to make money so why wouldn't they want a consumer to buy their product as soon as possible. If a bonus is enticing enough for me to take the dive immediately rather than waiting for the bargain bin I'm all for it.
@Kaze_Memaryu
Count me in! I'm another one who wants to go "Why you little...!" on developers and publishers alike.
Yet another pre-order. I was already going broke after Nintendo Direct. But DEM BONUSES
@DarthNocturnal So who's to blame? Both, or one of them?
This should have been in the article, but for those wondering what the theme will look like:
Not that great imo. And I assume the medal accessories are not physical items... The bonuses were way better with the first PXZ.
meanwhile in Europe...
