@Joeynator3000 Atlus is far more restrictive than Nintendo. This is them being chill. Should see what they've done with each release and rerelease of Persona 5.
I loaded it up today and definitely runs a bit better. Still has hitches every now and then in the area I was in but the low 15-20s FPS were nowhere to be found in the short time I had today with it. Also might be connect to the now smoother frame rate but the battles and animations seem to actually be playing slightly faster.
@Gwynbleidd Hey I'm sorry you are upset I asked you a very simple question about the statement you voluntarily made. And that was only one question I have many more that I can ask about your statement. I'm just asking you what you mean by what you said otherwise why did you say it? Also I'm actually trying to ask you to give me 'what is happens in the real world' but you just keep saying how you feel about it.
So half was actually meant to mean a lot not actually half. What is a lot? 100 people? 2,000,000 people? 100,000,000 people?
What are the sales numbers of emulators compared to original hardware? Of the 114+ million Switches sold and 917+ million software sold on Switch (https://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/en/finance/hard_soft/) how does that compared to known Switch emulators sales/downloads? How are you differentiating between people that are legally emulating and piracy? How are you determining 'interest' in Nintendo products attributed to emulators that result in actual sales?
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 was so much better than Arceus. But like all these awards they really boil down to what the most amount of judges have actually played. Just look at best Multiplayer game...Elden Ring...the actual multiplayer on any From Souls games has never been good and has always been a laggy buggy mess built on ancient net code.
@Gwynbleidd You said emulation "kept interest" in their games and "they'd probably have half of their customers" if not for emulation...sorry but you did say that. There is absolutely zero evidence of that and you just admitted you made it up.
@Gwynbleidd definitely the biggest exaggeration I've ever read on this site. Half their customers are customers because of emulation???? Come on. I doubt if it is even 1%. Where you getting these numbers?
Enjoying it despite the performance issues. Maybe they need lower the amount of pokemon on screen and optimize the open world a bit more. Honestly I would have more preferred open zones like Arceus that ran better than this.
But sales looks to be justifying the open world label they were going for even with the performance problems.
Was interested till the first trailers and had the tiniest hope they would turn it around, but from reading a couple reviews seems just pretty meh in the end.
A lot of half baked feature creep, major pop in issues (especially at the speed they want you to go) and a fairly basic combat system. Nothing really new.
@theGamerPad Maybe you didn't understand how you were coming off but it was defending her by saying that's not what she said by valuing it at nearly half a billion dollar franchise (aka Mario Kart style seller). And then saying Bayo 3 might sale 2.5 million units (only 0.5 million more than I said it would). Again wouldn't come near what she estimated it at.
And if you weren't defending her then you're splitting hairs which wasn't needed at all.
@theGamerPad I don't know why you're still defending her when she's even confirmed she lied to weaponize the fanbase.
But here let's do the math. 5 million in game sales for the series, even including an imaginary 2.5 million of your estimate for Bayo 3. We'll even assume all were sold at completely full retail.
5 million x $60 is 300 million. She estimated the Bayo series at $450 million. Still doesn't add up.
But that $300 million isn't actually even the worth since you have to take out production costs, shipping, marketing, retailer fees, multiple publishers (Nintendo and Sega) etc. If we're even being generous with those figures what actually got back to Platinum might be $30 million. But that's a far cry from $450 million and I doubt Platinum even got that.
Also what we know is Platinum were about to go under till Nintendo stepped in for Bayo 2 + W101 and those sold so badly they were about to go under again until Microsoft got them for Souldbound but that cancellation almost sank the company again till their work with Square on Neir which gave them an actual mainstream hit that they've said in multiple interviews that saved the company and gave them enough money to start self publishing.
And this sounds 1,000,000 times more realistic. Her estimate of what the Beyo franchise was worth was so far off from reality she probably thought she was being screwed and got really unreasonable with her demands.
If she really wanted to she should post the contract and correspondence since she has burned the bridge already. But I feel that might actually go against her case and why she didn't do that instead putting out the video.
Either way time to have done this was years back. The game is done and she didn't get herself a better deal. Gamers aren't really going to boycott a game 98% of them weren't even going to buy if the series sales trend keeps up.
So the initial reaction the majority of people had was he was just going to play himself because he can't act any other way. Then for months he said 'actually no it's amazing, we're doing a lot of work'. Turns out it is just himself.
He set himself up to fail.
Now on to people saying 'we need to hear more'. Well I think we can safely assume his voice isn't going to change throughout the movie so it is going to be this. Also we only got a couple lines with Jack Black as Bowser and we all understand what he's doing why not apply that same logic to Chris Pratt?
The game was decent, definitely outstays its welcome and for me didn't live up to the horror + deck builder game that it promised in the original trailer.
Does the PS4 & PS5 versions include the official mod?
This seems more like a miscommunication on what they were proposing when they pitched it to the Pokémon Company. And clearly they didn't get fired and worked for several more years at NOA after that.
What I really don't like about Kit and Krysta is that they could clear it all up if they wanted to but they aren't. They were intentionally vague. Gave a very controversial statement that even goes against the Pokémon Company's public statements before and after. Goes against that, as far as I know, the Pokémon Company haven't tried to stop others from doing it.
Still the controversy got them a ton of clicks and eyes on their podcast so I doubt they will give a more nuanced recollection of how it actually went down. Doubt we'll ever hear that 'yeah maybe they actually gave a ***** pitch' or whatever that is a more believable scenario. But I bet we can see more and more of this from Kit and Krysta.
From the trailer looks like the emeralds are just on the boss itself. A stand-in for weak points you have to platform to. Or are they suggesting that the emeralds are scattered across the zone and you'll be forced to explore before fighting the boss. Progression blockers aren't anything new to video games.
Either way seems like pretty bog standard gameplay that they're trying to hype up.
@Rika_Yoshitake "eco-friendly" in any crypto is not actually friendly to the environment. It all uses energy and the more blocks/computations it has to do to verify transactions the more intensive that energy usage is going to be.
The other issue with crypto is that it can go completely bankrupt and then anything and everything you had on it is gone at a whim (take Luna as an example)
How poorly Square has been lately with their studios, selling assets, and poor quality products I wouldn't be trusting them with something extremely speculative like crypto.
I must be so incredibly lucky because I'm at like 150 matches between the regular lobby matches and salmon run and I've only had 3 disconnects so far. One of them I think was actually a team rage quitting because two of them disconnected at the same time. Well I hope I keep this lucky streak going if it is as severe as the internet makes me believe.
Cancelled my preorder. 3 DLCs before launch not a great look and can't trust Ubisoft's quality. I'll wait for the 'gold edition' that has it all when it is 70% off in a year or maybe not get it at all.
@IronMan30 Getting mad when you don't even know the basics that they are a first party developer that Nintendo has a controlling stake in, they are not an internal Nintendo Studio like EAD. They're former Squaresoft and have history before being acquired by Nintendo. If you actually read that article, before disparaging it, you might have known that.
Just finished it today completing the available side content and now working on the post game content. Absolutely one of the best RPGs out there.
The English voice cast did a great job, especially the main cast. Mio is Ranni the Witch from Elden Ring and this role lets her have way more range than just vaguely menacing.
Feel a lot of criticism about the voice cast are from people that to me seem to have only played the early chapters when the characters are actually really clueless (story reasons). Chapter 4 onward with highlights of Chapter 5 and Chapter 7 I think put them up there with the best.
Open zones still look terrible, empty, and disconnected. Combat still looks simplistic and unappealing. Cyberspace levels actually looks like what the game should have been.
Oh well, hopefully it is actually better than their marketing has made it look.

Defending also seemed to favor weapons like sloshers, blasters, and snipers.
Maybe if they had a way that if the defenders where able to push into enemy territory they could have their own ultra signals. That way there is a little more push and pull rather than just defending.
Or if ultra signals could be stopped or depleted by the defenders once they're activated. If someone got 1 they could easily win off that by just playing decently and if they got two there was no way possible to win as a defender after that.
I have a high end PC which I usually can get just about every game so far at 120 fps or higher (if available) and VRR/G-sync takes care of any inconsistencies. It is my preferred way to play and any game that is multiplatform I will choose the PC. However on consoles I prefer a locked frame rate over anything. An inconsistent 60 fps is worse than dropping it down to a locked 30 fps. DRS technology is getting better every year and I hope in the next Switch they're able to utilize the latest DLSS.

@RobynAlecksys actually about Ubisoft's business practices, abuse of employees, and horribly anti consumer monetization.

Re: Gallery: Super Mario Movie Trailer Breakdown, Frame-By-Frame Analysis
Pratt is just doing Pratt. He shouldn't have promised any type of voice work other than bog standard Pratt.
Think the general feeling would have been much less negative if not just apathetic to his performance.
Other than that it all looks and sounds really good. Loved the penguins. And Jack Black really works as Bowser. Can't wait to see more of Luigi.

Just money on the table that they could burn on more bad Sonic games.
