Re: Spring Man Triumphs in First ARMS Party Clash

Specters

Really had fun with this. I put ARMS down mainly since the currency was gained so slow. With the boosts and badges I easily tripled the total I had gotten in 20 hours of gameplay within 2 hours. Definitely a good sign.
I think if they had a more robust single player campaign as well as a couple more modes in the party mode would be just what the game needs, though I don't know if they'll hold that for a sequel and just keep adding fighters.

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles X Creator Tetsuya Takahashi Prefers Western Games To Japanese Ones

Specters

I love this. While I'm a huge fan of JRPGs there is an interesting aspect about the budget to be profitable in Japan only which can turn off Western tastes and the downward spiral this has caused. I do see Xenoblade Chronicles X more as a JRPG but it does have several aspects of Western RPGs. It's a great mix of the two and I think a perfect example of how to organically create something unique rather than stick to tried and true formula of JRPGs.
Further I have sunk about 70 hours into Xenoblade Chronicles X now, more than I did for Fallout 4 and coming up close to The Witcher 3--which both have taken a back seat to this game. I just got my Flight module and don't see me stopping anytime soon.
I truly hope this game sells well and Nintendo continue to invest in this unique series. This was a big reason why I bought a Wii U when it launched.

Re: Poor Odds of The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth Coming to Wii U as Nicalis Says It's "Not Much More Powerful Than a PS Vita"

Specters

While I love Binding of Isaac on PC and played around 50 hours on it, but I didn't bother buying on the Wii U or 3DS since Nicalis are really bad developers when it comes to Nintendo architecture. I have rebought several indie games on my Wii U that I already had on PC just to support the eShop but Nicalis are so demeaning to Nintendo users/fans. Hopefully with NX it is closer in architecture to modern PCs so ports can be easier, cheaper, and faster to the platform. Honestly I would have loved to play this on my 3DS.

Re: Weirdness: April Fools Comes Early As Amazon France Lists ZombiU 2 For Wii U

Specters

Ubisoft did say they had another game if the Wii U sold before. This could be it. I would love it, while I wasn't a huge fan of the original I did think if they just refined it in a sequel they would have a truly amazing horror survival game.
Also Amazon France has outed a lot of games and bundles that later did come out so this is looking promising.

Re: Legendary Actor and Comedian Robin Williams Has Died at 63

Specters

I love Robin Williams, not only as an actor but as a person. He's a San Francisco icon (where I'm from) and one day he came to my high school cause he was friends with one of the teachers and got to meet and talk to him. Not only that but we also share the same birthday so that was cool.
We'll always have his amazing body of work and all the people he had an effect on throughout the world.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Innovative E3 Approach is a Breath of a Fresh Air

Specters

I absolutely loved the Direct and the live Treehouse has been incredible. Had it on for 4 hours or so today and a couple yesterday. Got to see Yoshi, Smash, Kirby, Zelda, SPLATOON!, and all the great indie titles--Affordable Space Adventures looked ultra fun and I had no idea what it was till the Treehouse event. I think they nailed it on the head this year by learning from last year's E3. The Direct + Live Treehouse is a winning combo.

Re: Best Buy's 'Smash-Fest' Venues, Perks and Demo Details Confirmed

Specters

I went to the one last year in Culver City California and it was really fun but they definitely under estimated how many people would actually show up. There was a line snaking from the display around the store then out the entrance and around the corner of the store and more showing up throughout the day. All playing on ONE Wii U. Hopefully they have at least 2 this year to speed it up a bit. I went about an hour ahead of the opening time and I ended up around the corner of the store. Took about 4 hours to finally play but it was fun nonetheless.

Re: Review: Kirby: Triple Deluxe (3DS)

Specters

As much as I love Kirby I saw this coming. It's not meant to be difficult--it never was--therefore I don't know why so many reviews have focused in on the difficulty being so easy. I'll be picking this up later just because Mario Golf has sold me with the demo.
