Most parents aren't going to spend $300 so their child can play Mario Kart 8, and most gamers aren't going to spend $300 so they can play Smash Bros. A price cut will help, but it won't fix the problem.

Monster Hunter and Metroid are a weird mix. They're awesome on their own, but I don't feel like they'll mix well.

@97alexk It was easier to animate the morph ball instead of Samus crawling, and so the developers decided to do that. At least, that's the story I've always heard.

I'd rather they make a great game first, and then port it later. Quality should always be the priority.

The name "Earthbound 4" will cause some copyright troubles. Take off the number, add a subtitle and putting up a disclaimer saying it's just a fan game might help them avoid that.
