Should be able to get a good haul as they are the perfect price bracket for gifts from grandparents, aunts and uncles etc...

At least they are now being honest about the unsightly props used to keep them balanced. I hope Lucario and Toon Link (btw, seeing the figure like this emphasises how short his legs are) are not in too much pain

+1 this is getting out of hand! I think I'll just get Mario chars, DK chars and some favorites like Samus and Megaman. I'm thinking of not getting Zelda chars now since I'm not really a big fan (although I like all Zelda games).

I need Sheik for sure. Only other one that I want that hasn't been revealed yet is Lucina.

Definitely would get Mega Man! Toon Link, Meta Knight and King Dedede looks pretty cool too! I hear the Toon Link one works with MK8.

Will be getting Rosalina for sure. I wonder just how many amiibo we're going to see for some characters. These are all the Smash amiibo, so do we see a new Fox McCloud and Link when their next games come out? I strongly prefer the look of Link in the new game so would rather have a figure based on that.

I really hope Nintendo is working on a game built around these too. I'm probably going to buy quite a few, but so far I'm not really impressed by any of the functionality.

I'm rather surprised on the quality of the Ike amiibo. It looks good, assuming that's the final product. Shulk's face looks a bit...eh....but the rest of him looks ok. Definitely getting Toon Link, Bowser, Mega Man, and Ike. I'll think about Shulk and possibly Dedede in the future.

Damn those fugly plastic supports and what's with the plastic at the end of Ike's sword being the same colour as the sword itself. That really should have been clear. This kind of sloppy quality of finish is disappointing but in all honesty it doesn't surprise me that much coming from modern day Nintendo. The figures aren't too bad overall, some are even pretty nice (the few that don't have any supporting plastic), but going that extra mile really could have made all the difference imo.

I wonder if they've all got games they'll be compatible in? Or some are just Smash based?

@Thearnaud44 There's a possibility that Shulk Amiibo just might work with the new Xenoblade X- perhaps letting you play as Shulk? At the very least it should work with the port on 3DS.

And btw everyone, there is currently an Amiibo survey on Club Nintendo. They ask you what kind of features you would like to see them unlock, so this is a perfect opportunity to voice your opinion to Nintendo. Tell them what you would like to see Amiibo do.

In the survey I told them A) unlock characters B) unlock courses/stages C) unlock new outfits (like the Fusion suit in the next Metroid, stuff like that).

Not sure if everyone got the survey but I know I did.

I want like half of these. Namely Bowser, Lucario, Rosalina, Megaman, MetaKnight and Ike.

I quite like Mega Man and Bowser. Although, if they make Amiibo for Pac-Man and Duck Hunt Duo, I'll be buying them for sure.

@Thearnaud44 oh it's most definitely online. Otherwise they wouldn't have shown the chat window and multiple players back at the initial reveal. Only question is how it will work- whether you can play the main story together or if there's a separate mode.

I bet Megaman's amiibo is going to be compatible with LOOOOADS of future games...

Ike amiibo! He looks really good. Though the little extra support coming out of his sword looks a bit weird. Would've preferred they used a clear plastic on it. But besides that he looks fantastic. So excited.

I absolutely MUST get Toon Link, since he's my #1 main.

At least all the stands are clearish this time, Zelda, Starfox, Link, Pitt are all so noticeable it's very distracting.

@Martinice If you mean their move-sets, yes, their moves are the same, but Toon Link's weight is lighter.

I don't know why people were saying there wouldn't be a Sonic,Mega Man, and Pac-Man figure since they are 3rd party. I'll get Sonic and Mega Man for my birthday then. They should be showing us the final designs instead of what may be the prototype. The final figures have yellow poles

(Sorry Nintendo, but the differences between the first round of preview/production Amiibo models has me skeptical until we see a final model. The fact that so many of these figures still use support sticks is kind of worrying to me - it's like they didn't learn any lessons from issues the first time.)

I expect you probably won't see this kind of thing fixed until they move onto a set of figures for a whole other game because I presume they are now stuck into making any new Smash Bros amiibos all fit with their in-game trophy designs.

Hmm, the Dedede and Mega Man figures both look like they don't have any ugly plastic support rods... combine that with them being two of my favorite smashers, and I think I have two that will be going into my collection.

@Platypus101 Just imagine all the limited edition Amiibos Nintendo will probably do in the future. Some companies could have rare ones as pre-order gifts for certain games. The possibilities are endless

Brainstorm!: How cool would it be if they made just Pokeball Amiibos (with every type of Pokeball), with a mystery Pokemon in it, and u could of course use it in a Pokemon game to train it!? But you'd actually carry the Pokeball with u. It could happen. Mark my words, I thought of it first!

King Dedede and Mega Man are looking sweet... and a lot of that has to do with them being able to support themselves. I wish Nintendo had considered using more grounded poses. Most of those stands are really awkward, especially Toon Link's.

The idea and the value of the Amiibos is lacking but the figures look soooo cool.

Ike looks great (I can live with the extra plastic if it means the sword won't fall off like our Violet D.I. figure's head) and this entire set looks good in general.

@Martinice I don't think you would get the Spinner in Hyrule Warriors like the regular Link amiibo does, but I'm guessing they'll be some sort of exclusive in Hyrule Warriors that hasn't been announced for him. Same with the Zelda and Sheik amiibos (and Ganondorf when its eventually out). Can't say about Mario Kart 8, but I doubt it since not all the characters in wave one got Mii costumes.

This third wave actually looks better than some of the earlier amiibos (especially Marth). Would honestly like to buy all of them, but I'll probably start with Rosalina and Sonic.

I went from having zero interest in buying any amiibos to wanting majority of them.

I wanted a Shulk one, but it looks it suffers the same derp face as marth...

That Megaman looks cool tho.

Most of them look cool but as someone said, Shulk's face is off much like how Marth was. I love Xenoblade and all, but Shulk is not my favourite so I will have to consider long and hard for his trophy. Unless we get another character as DLC...

Wasn't going to get them, but when I knew they weren't making seperate ones for Mario Kart 8 and Hyrule Warriors, it changed my mind. If only for Hyrule Warriors content and that Mario Kart 8 Samus suit. Only wish they had a Bayonetta figure now. XD

Super smash is releasing on November 28th here in Europe. But I pre-ordered the super smash/mario amiibo box. This is releasing December 5th! Buy a copy of smash on the 28th and selling the one in the box? or just wait?

I think it's great they added the third party guest characters too, and not only because I'd like to have them, but as a sort of 'contract' with those parties.

Sonic is basically a Nintendo-platform franchise as far as recent enjoyable games go (except for Generations, of course).
When has Capcom last used Mega Man for something Mega Man worthy?

Honestly, I'd love for Nintendo to release all of the characters so I can have a shelf similar to in-game [reminiscing along with the original Smash for the 64, how the trophies are just sitting around on a table]

For me, my mains of Dedede, and Samus are priority, along with ZSS if/when they put her out, too. Those are the ones I'd actually use. But I'd love to get them all.

I don't plan on picking up too many Amiibos because I just don't feel like spending hundreds of dollars on plastic figures - I'd rather use the money on games! But out of this bunch I'm liking Bowser and Toon Link.
