@Cyrso 1. I agree with you on some points, but not all. Reassurance articles/comments/threads/etc are all not the best thing for sites to be doing atm (no offense to NLife or any of it's staff. This is one of my favorite sites to visit ) because by doing so, it creates rivalry and is demeaning to the other consoles, and everyone comes out completely biased.
2. You don't have to be quite so harsh.

@JaxonH I've actually been told that the Wii U is more powerful than the XboxOne (the guy was a total idiot obviously).

The graphics aren't gonna look very good yet for a few reason. 1. Many of the PS4/Xbone games are just ports. Why doesn't Arkham City Wii U look waaay better than on PS3? Well duh, it's a port. The other reason is they're launch titles. They'll get better, as will the Wii U's graphics.

Gameplay > Graphics obviously, but the PS4 has lived up to it's promises IMO. The reason power is so important isn't just because of shiny graphics, it's because of better AI, larger game worlds, etc. Even if what you're saying is accurate and the PS4 is only marginally more powerful (a blatantly false fact, it has 16x the RAM the ps3 did.), it is at least as good as the Wii U. (If what you say is true) Then the PS4 didn't deliver, it under delivered but still did better than the Wii U. Let's say 2 kids take a test. One says "Yeah, I'm gonna score a 70." and the other says "Oh, this'll be easy. I could get a 100 in my sleep.", and when they come back the first child gets his 70 and the other gets a 90. The second one is still smarter, just not by as much as he promised.

Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Twenty

  • Guild Wars 2 - (as always!) The new Fractured! update will keep me busy for awhile
  • Pokemon Y - I'm finally getting into IV breeding, and it's taking longer then expected
  • Animal Crossing: New Leaf - (Maybe) I've been meaning to get back into this one for awhile now.
  • Terraria - (Maybe) Just to get me in the mood for Starbound, which, by the way, BETA COMES OUT ON WEDNESDAY!!!

I dunno, it could result in a catch-22 for some devs. Don't include gamepad support, and people accuse you of making a lazy port. Include it, and you'll have to spend extra money towards development of a feature only present on the Wii U, which can make it a little of a loss for the devs of some third party games. Of course, it makes for some great exclusives

Re: Fire Emblem: Awakening and ZombiU Developers Outline the Challenges of Permadeath

SkywardLink98

Awakening was my first Fire Emblem game and I played permadeath. Of course I reset a lot, of course
I'd like to see a tactical game like Fire Emblem, but where soldiers can be replaced easily. The catch is they start at level one and all equipment is lost. That would add tactical risks, e.g. "should I let the enemy kill him to get the other guy in the right spot for taking? Is it worth the cost to get another one of him?" In Fire Emblem I never came across cold calculating moments like that, and I played solely defensively.

Re: Pokémon Bank Pricing Revealed For Australia And New Zealand

@MadAdam81 They can't be obtained but are on the files. You are paying for access, not content, and the only reason it gives access is because they removed the 2 system transfer from previous gens forcing me (and other like me) to pay to do something we could do for free in previous generations.
I have no interest whatsoever in cloud storage, I just want my previous pokemon, something I didn't need to buy another service to do previously.

Re: Pokémon Bank Pricing Revealed For Australia And New Zealand

@MadAdam81 You don't generally buy content. They give free and paid content. World of Warcraft adds new dungeons, SWtOR has more content for free, etc. They have expansions (paid) and updates (covered in subscription). Heck, GW2 doesn't even charge you for the updates. MMO's also run an entire game off of the server, all this is doing is letting you have cloud saves, something free with a lot of other games (Arkham City, FF7, Half-Life 2, etc.) I must've missed it, can you link the source of the new content? All I was aware of this adding was a way to store pokemon online, and according to bulbapedia that's all it's doing.
