At E3 2004, Reggie Fils-Aimé walked on stage and pulled the prototype for Nintendo DS out of his pocket. The original unit looked a little different from the DS 'Phat' (as the final production model came to be nicknamed following the introduction of the much sleeker, sexier DS Lite).
