I'm anxious to see what the NPC amiibo do in the game. They've been collecting dust on my shelf lately. It'd be pretty cool if the content they unlock depends on their level in amiibo festival, then I'd actually play that game.

So I'll have to use a TV to play while it's charging? That's not good news for me, I don't usually have access to a convenient TV for gaming...

I know it probably won't happen, but It'd be REALLY cool if VR actually did turn out to be a Switch add-on.

I'll probably be getting Sun as a download since I have a mostly-empty 32 gb SD card. I got Alpha Sapphire physically but I ended up not having much time to play it due to how much I switched back and forth between New Leaf (I would've gotten New Leaf digitally but I hear that version of the game is more prone to corruption).

Very interesting concept. It's almost like a library in format; before you go out somewhere, you go to the console with the handheld, plug it in, select your game, unplug it, and you're all set until you come home to "return" the game.

I probably won't use this camera much, but it's really nice to see that they still have a TON of features planned for this New Leaf update. They could've just added an amiibo button and be done with it, but they're going all out with this one! I just wish they could reveal the compatibility of the FIGURES already. They revealed it for the cards and the non-AC amiibo, but they haven't even said a word about what the AC figures will do despite all the times its been subtly teased.

Actually there is a price, they listed it as $50 for a figure, $25 for a shirt, and $15 for a card. I really thought the figure would be more expensive, so this means I can actually afford to make a few of my best characters into toys

Apparently Nintendo has forgotten that they need to ANNOUNCE a console before they launch it. At this point they can't possibly announce it all AND have the NX release in just six months. They're already setting up for a failed launch since they won't even try to build any hype, and instead are censoring anyone trying to do so.

I'll use my Wii U along with the NX until "Spla2n" inevitably releases on the NX someday.

This is the Pokemon anime, what'd you think was gonna happen after gen 6? Did anyone actually think they'd let Ash win, or let Serena stay for more than one generation?

Remind me why they haven't formally announced their new console even though it comes out in 6 months?

@bolt05 The amiibo compatibility seems to be a lot better in Breath of the Wild. Normally they're just mii costumes everywhere but here they're actually using data from other games to affect how it behaves on BotW.

Candy Crush was a completely mindless cash grab that got millions of people addicted and was made by a company that tried to trademark the word "Candy" and no one bats an eye. Pokemon GO releases and everyone loses their minds.

It's so nice that they got Vicarious Visions to create the Wumpa Islands level. They not only work on every other Skylanders game (this year was Toys for Bob's turn to work on it, but they got V.V specifically for this level) but they also worked on most of the Crash Bandicoot games! Toys for Bob could have normally worked on it themselves and hastily put it together with a vague Crash theme, but the fact that they went through so much trouble to make it as close to the originals as possible shows how much they actually care about the players and not just making money.

@retro_player_22 Just because they are guest starring in Skylanders doesn't mean they're "dead." There are Crash remakes coming soon on Playstation, you won't have to wait long.

I have a theory that Guzma may not really be the one pulling the strings behind Team Skull. They usually leave the boss as a secret, so perhaps the boss of Team Skull is just using them to cause trouble while he/she goes after the legendary Pokemon, and then Guzma learns that he's being used and helps you? There's usually a big fight against the antagonists before the legendary after all, but then again this game is really changing the formula of the series...

Every generation has their share of a weird inanimate objects that are mostly disliked... Exeggcute, Bronzor, Vanilluxe, Klefki... but a SANDCASTLE? I laughed my butt off when I first saw it! I honestly hate it more than Klefki, but one Pokemon doesn't ruin a generation or show the GF is running out of ideas. I'm still hyped as ever, especially for the Ghost Fish thing!

I don't understand why they thought the previous tracking system was confusing, but glad to hear they are trying to make a new one.

This is a very interesting way to promote the game, kind of similar to Splatoon's Global Testfire. They should do this for future online games too!

I LOVE these ones, especially Mudsdale. The flower one is... meh... but Mimikkyu has really grown on me.

So now we have TWO Pikachu knockoffs in this generation? I get it, the ghost one's concept is cool, but WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE ANOTHER PIKACHU LOOKALIKE?

Guys, come on. Every generation has a point where they run out of ideas and make some weird 'mon, ESPECIALLY gen 1; Voltorb, Eggxecute, Muk, Dugtrio, and Magneton are examples. There's also Ditto, Cascoon, Burmy, Vanillite, and Klefki in subsequent generations. Every gen has bad Pokemon. Salandit, on the other hand, looks amazing. Give me that thing now!

It's like I've been zapped into the 90s again... dark times, those 90s.

@MasterGraveheart I'm glad they're letting us have the splatfest decorations in our plaza without a splatfest now. I was worried that when splatfests end we would never see the beautiful set-up again!

Cool, I guess it's kind of like Majora's Mask; you have to get to the final boss but you have the option to stop and figure out a deeper story within. I like shows and games that have a mysterious plot you have to uncover.

If Nintendo made MICHAEL PACHTER hyped for the game, you know it's gonna be good.

Oh man I hope the NX uses some form of cartridges. Maybe that'll mean that game data won't be tied to a single console.

Imagine if the greatest game developers of the entire industry like Eiji Aonuma, Shigeru Miyamoto, or Hideo Kojima just decided to go for bare minimum with ALL their games from now on and become too lazy to patch them, just saying "It's better than nothing!"

Someone didn't think they could wait 9 months... man people are impatient these days, but then again... it's Breath of the Wild, who actually WANTS to wait for that

@BakaKnight The crystals are pricey, I agree, but the senseis just provide optional boosts. You could probably use weapons and armor with extremely high stats and get similar benefits.

I don't see why people think that when a character guest stars in Skylanders, they are "killed." Everyone is just salty because Spyro's design got botched when he guest starred and have probably not even tried the actual game out, which, when played on harder difficulties, is very fun and addicting. Just because Spyro makes a cameo Skylanders doesn't mean they will never go back to the Spyro series with the old design. Same goes for Crash! They remastered the first 3 games to give him to older players again, and put him in Skylanders (with his old design) to introduce him to a new generation. Heck, Crash even unlocks his own bonus level in the game, which is entirely Crash themed and looks to be based off N. Sanity beach and Cortex's Castle. Plus, we now have a game where you can have Spyro, Crash, Donkey Kong, and Bowser all together. Remind me why this is a bad thing again?
