Minecraft: Wii U Edition got a pretty significant update a while back which introduced the Tumble Mini Game, and another patch has just gone live.
"Patch 12" wasn't pre-announced and 4J Studios hasn't revealed any details on what's included in the update.
Until those details are forthcoming, it's fair to assume that the patch contains bug fixes and other improvements rather than major features.

I just picked this up in the bargain bin at wallmart for 20 cdn. I think that's a good deal. I might be the only person in Canada that has not played this game. Going to give it a try today sometime. I have no idea what to expect.

@MitchVogel Nice.
You inspired me to check, and my Win 10 PC still doesn't have the updated Anniversary Ed yet, but it is asking me nicely now. Guess I should have left well enough alone.
