I'm glad I upgraded - Mario Kart and Donkey Kong were both great games, but in terms of games I've mostly been playing Indie Stuff - Silksong, Hades 2, UFO 50 which I could aso have been playing on Switch 1 and none of the current First Party releases interest me.
@Lewiiugamepad I wondered that about the Labo VR Kit, which I own, and seems very similar to the cardboard version. If not, I probably would buy the cardboard version for this as I don't think I'd spend much time playing any of these, but am interested to give them a go, especially Wario Land!
Although it's still wild that they never added these to the 3DS's Virtual Console seeing as it could do glasses free 3D!
@raymond23 Yeah, I feel like Grand Prix mode should have just been doing 3 laps around the tracks without the racing between them each time, as that makes much more sense in Knockout Mode. And Free Roam feels fairly empty. But I am still enjoying it overall.
Am I going to be able to sign in to my Switch 2 with my Nintendo Account, but not do a System Transfer? I was planning on keeping my Switch Oled and my Switch 2, and then just transfer games between the two if I want to play them on the Switch 2 and use the Cloud Save. That will work, right? Wasn't that the point of the Virtual Game Cards?
Nearly got one of these when I preordered my Switch 2 from My Nintendo, but the 60 quid price point made me stop. I got the SNES and N64 controllers and have barely used either of those.
I love Zelda. I love LEGO. But this is just too expensive for what it is. I'd rather they had opted for one design and a reduced price rather than the 2-in-1 design.
Will keep an eye out to see if it gets reduced - I know it's unlikely with LEGO, but the Bowser model got massive reductions later on, and I think the high price of this is going to leave a lot of boxes on the shelves...
Isn't this just explaining how Zelda differs from Link, not necessarily in this game? "As Link, players use a sword and arrows to defeat enemies [but] Zelda can use a magic wand to summon creatures for battle"
I had a zero hours contract job at a gallery for a number of years, but it was my own choice as the role was in addition to my own freelance work and I could pick up hours when I needed them and didn't need to work if I was busy with my own freelance work. To unilaterally make your employees have a Zero Hours contract is not good!
Popped I to my local game at the weekend and the videogames definitely felt like an afterthought. Although the prices on the toys and games were slashed across the board. Picked up a couple of bargains to add to my niece and nephew's birthday present.
Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow is a great book. Definitely in my top 3 of books I read this year, and I didn't even know it was about videogames when I started, so that was a pleasant surprise.
Mine expired recently and I hadn't renewed it yet, as I wasn't playing much on my Switch - I was busy with Sea Of Stars and Jusant on GanePass on my Xbox. I might wait now and see if this deal comes to Europe.
Pretty happy with that. Nearly bought Muramasa Castle before the 3DS closed, so glad to see it here. And cool to see a Castlevania game on here despite Konami bringing out their own dedicated collections
I'm definitely getting this game for Christmas - although that 2 month wait is going to be a killer - BUT the collusion impacts being disabled and not being able to bump into each other or throw each other around is a major disappointment!
My least favourite part of the trailer was probably Mario himself. The look just seemed a bit off to me - not to an Ugly Sonic degree, but certainly off-brand Mario and after all the pre-release hype Chris Pratt was doing for his voice work, it ended up sounding just like Chris Pratt, which was a shame, especially when Jack Black was so spot on with his Bowser voice.
Team Scissors! Played and enjoyed some games of the regular splatfest in the morning. Played a few games of the Tri-color later and decided to go play some Splatoon 2 instead after a while.
Did I just miss an explanation of the rules of the Tri-Color battles, or was it not included? I had no idea what the Ultra Signal was or what I was meant to do about it.
While it's a shame that these stores are closing, I have more than enough games on my Switch that I still need to play, so don't really feel the need to download more games on my Wii U (that, at the moment, is boxed up in a cupboard) or 3DS.
Just played through Kalamari Desert and the second lap you go off a ramp and racing alongside the train, so don't quite get your comment about them not having deviated from the original 🤷🏻♂️
Got my copy of the standard edition yesterday from ShopTo.
Although I hadn't seen this Special Edition advertised before today. I think the previous articles about this physical release were either the Radical Edition for £119.99(!) or the Classic Edition for £69.99.
"Another minor nitpick is that the game loses its connection to the internet if you put the Switch in sleep mode, bringing up an annoying error message between each chamber when you boot it back up; hopefully this gets patched at a later date."
I've been getting this whenever I play Slay The Spire and turn my Switch on from Sleep Mode. It's a minor inconvenience, but pretty irritating
@samuelvictor Yeah I've been playing single player on GamePass, but have my physical copy ordered for Switch, and looking forward to trying put multiplayer when I do. Only minor issue is that Live A Live is out the week before...
Bought this on PS4 when it was originally released and then double-dipped when I got an OLED Switch and it was on sale! Still pop on for a game every now and then. Definitely my favourite version of Tetris and it really pops on the OLED!
Is the DLC just characters? I thought it included new levels based on the spin-offs from the main series like Rogue One, Solo and Mandalorian, but if it's just more mini-fig characters, I'll save my money... for now
Been playing this on Game Pass and loving it, but also had no qualms about sticking on No Fail Mode to get through the bosses and during the last third of the game when the difficulty ramps up. For me, the exploration is more interesting than the combat, so I'm glad there was the option.
So I just read an article on another site which makes it sound like the Classic Obi Wan Kenobi pre order bonus is only available for a digital pre order! So you need to choose between that or the Luke minifig that comes with the physical version.
So 'The Wii U and 3DS eshops are closing down' is gonna be 2022's equivalent of 'You won't be able to play Mario 35 after March 31st' in terms of how many articles this site is able to drag out of one story, huh? 😉
While I get the issues regarding game preservation, I can't help feeling that in most cases, people weren't interested in playing these games before which is why they haven't already downloaded them. 🤷🏻♂️
I have NSO - and am currently playing through Earthbound - but the Expansion Pass just doesn't interest me. The N64 games that I'd be interested in at the moment I already can play - Mario 64 via 3D All Stars, Ocarina, Majora and Starfox 64 on 3DS and I recently played through Banjo on Xbox via Game Pass. I've never really been that into SEGA so the Mega Drive games aren't really that enticing either. I've kind of reached the end of my time with Animal Crossing, and don't really want to lose anymore time to it, so the Hapy Home Designer DLC isn't for me. Which just leaves Mario Kart. And I decided I'd rather pay £16 for a digital code from ShopTo and own it outright rather than have to sign up for 2 years of the Expansion Pass to get access to all the DLC and then stay subscribed if I want to keep playing them.
Hard related with Kate on trading in a lot of my DS games when I'd completed them and now not being able to replay them if I want. I really enjoyed Ghost Trick but after I finished it figured it didn't have much replayability. Like Kate I would love to track down a reasonably priced copy now ...
I traded in my original Switch after getting an OLED and got an Xbox Series S so already played through this on Game Pass. Going to play Banjo-Tooie next, a game I never played originally.
Got this on PS4 back in June and thoroughly enjoyed my time with it, but all the way through was thinking this would be perfect on the Switch. And finally here it is! If I knew this was coming, I would have waited, but as it is, I'll definitely play this again on Switch. Not right away, as I have a lot of other games to play at the moment, but it's in my Wish List.
I'd been considering getting the physical version of this for Christmas, but was slightly deterred by the fact that it required an additional download, but now it's also gonna require an additional patch to download too, I'm even less interested.
Seeing this list made me realise that I'm not really that bothered right now. Yoshi's Story is probably the only game I'm interested in playing at the moment and that's more because of nostalgia than it being any good. Mario 64, I have 3D All Stars and Ocarina, Majora's Mask and Starfox I played not that long ago on the 3DS. I'll wait on this till there's more that interests me.

Re: So, Have You Pre-Ordered Donkey Kong Country Returns HD For Switch?
I already have it on Wii and 3DS. I preferred the 3DS version as the extra heart made it slightly easier.

Re: Poll: What Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Wave 6 DLC Racer Are You Most Excited About?
@BrintaPap Oooh! I think I preferred it when I didn't know! 😅 That's an odd choice for a DLC character.
Re: Poll: What Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Wave 6 DLC Racer Are You Most Excited About?
What is Peachette??? I've not played Tour and I'd never even heard of that character before yesterday!
That's provably my only disappointment out of all the DLC characters. Especially as we already have Peach, Baby Peach and Gold-Rose Peach!
Funky Kong was my Go To on the Wii so excited to play as him again!

@Sakura This game is £2 now! 😅 (well £2.69, although I have 69p worth of gold points, so for me it literally is £2.00)
