I already have 2 diagonal bridges on my island just from the natural layout, so not sure why you've made such a big thing about the Island Designer app letting you cut diagonal rivers, like it doesn't already exist...

Also, loads of my villagers keep deciding to sit down right at the end of my diagonal bridges so i can't get past until they decide to move. It's a weird thing that doesn't happen with and of my regular bridges...

I like the art style, although I'm not a fan of FPS games. Depends how it reviews...

@607jf I think so. I've played the Street Fighter Colllection and Cato Roboto (or whatever that Metroidvania game with the robot cat is called) using the SNES controller

Personally I always wanted to play Pop N Twin Bee since I first saw it on the cover of an issue of Super Play. And me and my brother used to play Smash Tennis a lot, so it'd be fun to revisit.

I got New Leaf digitally for free back when Nintendo was running their buy 3 get the 4th game free offer for 3DS and was glad I did. I doubt I would have put so many hours into that game if I'd had to keep swapping cartrisges to play it each day.

I'd argue that The Touryst felt overpriced for what it was - a decent enough game, but it certainly felt slight and as though it was more of a Part 1, rather than a complete game in itself.

It's also on sale for 89p at the moment

@TryToBeHopeful Yes! I wish we got digital manuals as the text they include on the game page doesn't really tell you anything about the game and a couple of the NES titles I've really not even understood what I'm suppose to be doing!

Has there been any ifficial word about how this would work as a second Switch? Like, if I did buy one (not that I need it, but that yellow version keeps calling to me everytime I walk past an advert for this thing...) and kept my OG Switch, how would it work with playing my digital games on it? Would I be able to redownload them onto the Switch Lite and still have them playable on my original Switch, as long as I was signed in on both?

Confused by the games listed as "Genesis Exclusives" as I'm pretty sure they were also listed for the European Mega Drive release. Should be listed as Western Exclusives.

I really want to finish Fire Emblem before Link's Awakening comes out...and here I am playing Yoshi's Island for the millionth time. A game I already own on the SNES, GBA and SNES mini and have played on all of those multiple times!

I'm confused! Are people angry because they're releasing an expansion pass, but not selling the DLC individually (which I think is the point this "news story" is trying to make) or just because of the fact that there is DLC?

If it's the former, does anyone buy individual DLC over a Season Pass? Doesn't yhat work out more expensive? And if it's the fact that it has DLC, your not obligated to buy it. I'll be picking up this game abd if I enjoy it and want more, will grab the Season Pass at a later date.

I bought Switch Online membership from the start and I'm happy with the service. I've played over 30 hours of Tetris 99, and often play Mario Tennis Aces and Mario Kart 8 online. And on the whole I've enjoyed the NES games. While there are some titles I've no interest in playing, there are enough that I've wanted to play to make it feel worthwhile. Especially when you consider you use to have to buy them for £3-4 a time. Is it perfect? No. But for the price, I'll take it.

In comparison, I bought a PS4 last year during Black Friday sales to play Red Dead 2 and Spider-Man and got a PS Plys subscription on sale too and to be honest, I'm not planning on renewing that when it ends. Overall I'm not playing any online games on my PS4 and the free games each month have been pretty uninspiring, with a few recent ones (Overcooked and Sonic Mania) that I already have and played on the Switch.

Ah! I was a bit confused by this in the Direct! I thought the Trials Of Mana reveal was part of the Western Mana Collection reveal. Didn't get that it was getting a seperate Remaster!

I'll take a delayed game over a buggy rushed release with a massive Day One patch any day! Although it was a surprise that this game needed more time. How intensive can an Animal Crossing game really be to make?? (I say as someone with no idea about Games Design...)

Picked up Ape Out, Not A Hero and Pikuniku this morning. Was tempted by Bro Force but think those are gonna keep me busy enough for now, and hopefully that'll go on sale again at some point.

Waiting for the Fractured But Whole Season Pass to go on sale again. It's been on sale in the past. I have the base game from a previous sale, but held off on getting the Gold Edition.

Unlocked Piranah Plant in Mario Tennis Aces and bought a few Devolver eshop games in the sale: Not A Hero, Ape Out and Pikunuki. Given them a short try and enjoying them all so far. Will put in some more time over the weekend.

Will also give Smash VR a spin and try to get the Peachette Spirit too.

I've gone back to this game again recently and ot's a lot of fun. I wasn't sure if they were still going to be releasing more free DLC characters after this month, but there are still some slots empty on the Character Select screen.

As someone mentioned, it does sometimes take a while to find an online game which is disappointing. But overall it's a satisfying arcade tennis game!

I've dropped off this site recently as a lot of 'articles' began to feel barely above Click Bait, with stuff like Every. Single. Announcement. for the recent Mario Maker 2 Direct getting a seperate article, rather than just putting all the information in an easily digested report on the Direct.

But fair play, this feature was pretty interesting and about an area that I hadn't really paid much attention to previously.

@Dahn_ I gotta say I've had a lot of fun playing Overcooked in 3-player local co-op on the Switch, which I don't think you can do on the PS4. Even if the line-up maybe isn't spectacular, I've had more enjoyment out of these NES games than I have from the last few months of PS Plus.

I'll be trying out Zelda and Mario in VR and probably continuing to plug away at Cuphead. Nearly finished the 2nd world. I haven't found it as hard as I'd feared. A lot of the bosses so far seem to be about learning patterns. It reminds me of Super Punch Out! in that way. And it's all so gorgeous to look at! Might download Box Boy...

Not gonna lie, I would have liked an "easy" mode, just to be able to play through the game without too much frustration. But I'll still be buying this regardless

I know it will NEVER happen, but I'd love some collections like this for Konami's liscensed output! The NES and SNES TMNT games and their Warner Bros animation games with Tiny Toons, Animaniacs and the Batman and Robin game!

Will wait for previews/reviews before buying anything, but tempted to go for the Starter Pack at least.

I was already really happy with the Direct and then THIS! 😊 As soon as the raft was revealed in the waves I knew EXACTLY what was coming! Proper chills! This was my first Zelda game and to this day remains my favourite Zelda game, if not one of my favourite videogames, so I cannot wait to get a hold of this!!!

I'm planning to go physical for this one, but looking around online earlier, I couldn't find it available to preorder online...

To be honest, I regret buying a Wii U. While there were games I enjoyed, now thst most of them have been ported to Switch, I feel like I could have just waited. Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze was great, but I'd live to play it on Switch. Although having completed it on Wii U, I'm not double dipping. I did buy Mario Kart 8 Deluxe because it's a great multiplayer game and I'd be tempted to get Mario 3D World if it gets ported as it would work great in local multiplayer on the Switch. Yoshi's Wooly World seems like it's gonna be surpassed by Yoshi's Crafted World. And I hated Star Fix Zero.

The majority of my purchases on Switch have been indie titles from eshop, usually once they go on sale, so I'm mostly digital. I've also gone digital for multiplayer games - Smash Bros Ultimate, Mario Kart 8, Street Fighter Collection, Super Mario Party - even though they're available physically for less, as that way I always have them available on my machine. I do worry slightly about what happens when the eshop is eventually closed and my Switch stops working,, but for now I'm fine woth this set up. Splatoon 2 I got in an eshop sale for £33, as I knew the physical version would probably never go that cheap. Physically, I have Super Mario Odyssey, Skyrim, LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2, Mario + Rabbids and the LABO Vehicle pack.

I'm tempted to order this physically from Japan, although the digital price is pretty good. Are we gonna get a review anytime soon, rather than just a reminder that this is out? I'm curious to know how it handles on Switch before buying. (I know there's a demo available, which I've downloaded but been too busy playing Smash to play)

@HobbitGamYeah, I read that part, but then later it mentions the post-game: "151 different trainers who challenge you to one-on-one battles with a chosen Pokémon." So are these actual battles like in previous Pokémon games or do you just Capture these too?
