Chuffed about the Xenoblade announcement as I haven't played a lot of it on the Wii. Might give Deadly Premonition and Doom 64 a go as well, but other than that I'm not that bothered. 5/10 from me.
@coleman83 Crikey, that has to be one of the highlights of this console generation for me so far. The original Shadow of the Colossus was great to begin with, got better with the PS3 hd version, and got incredible with the last remake. Ah well, different tastes and all that.
Metroid Prime 3 was mediocre though, that's a fact.
Subscriptions can do one. If I want to play NES titles I'll grab my NES, Wii, Wii U or mini NES. If I want to play multiplayer games I'll step into my Tardis and go back 20 years to play Rage Wars on the sofa.
Dungeons are so 2010! I'm currently playing A Link between Worlds, my first 'new' Zelda since Breath of the Wild, and the only thing that has dated a bit in my opinion are the dungeons. They're too contrived! You can't satisfy everyone I guess
Although I quite enjoyed the GBA titles, the new Fire Emblems are a bit too anime for me unfortunately. Also, isn't it about time for a new Advance Wars? Ah well, there's always Xcom 2 I guess!
I bought a new 2ds xl a couple of months ago and I'm quite chuffed with it actually. Really enjoy the gameboy virtual console and A Link Between Worlds is also excellent.
Finished Bloodstained RotN, which scores a decent 7/10 in my book. Some more Dirt Rally 2 and GTA V for me this weekend. Really enjoying GTA, but the only thing letting me down is the music, which doesn't float my boat at all.
To be honest I don't care that much about graphical prowess. Although I own a Ps4 I mainly play quite low profile games on it (reason being that I find most AAA games on it quite superficial). Gameplay is where it's at, so long may the Switch continue.
@SuperRetroArt Another oldtimer here ('83) who's enjoying Bloodstained a lot! Good action and a wonderful score. Playing it on ps4 unfortunately because 60 fps.
To me, this is one of those games that have aged quite badly. I found it quite cool all those years ago when it came out on the ps2, but nowadays I find it a tad ridiculous. It's trying so hard to be cool I no longer can handle it I suppose. Part five looks like an audition for a boy band (although having said that, imagining the FFXV group as a boy band touring the world was what made me pull through that game).
Was originally going to get the Switch version but changed it to a PS4 version as soon as I read about the massive fps difference. To think they were originally going to release this on the Wii U!
I'm playing A Link Between Worlds again even though I didn't plan on playing that before my holiday, but with all the talk about Link's Awakening going on I couldn't resist any longer. Also still playing GTA5 and Dirt Rally 2.

Re: Microsoft Reiterates That It Would Like To See Xbox Game Pass On Other Platforms
As I don't like subscription-based models I wouldn't be interested in this, but the concept is staggering. Don't think it will happen though.

Re: Get Discounts On Super Mario Games And More With My Nintendo Rewards (Europe)
Quite chuffed to be picking up Super Mario Land for 2 quid actually! Ridiculous compared to the price I initially paid for it all these years ago

This Switch and Ps4 owner chooses not to play any EA games at all actually.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 20th)
Shenmue 2, in anticipation of part 3. Do you want to have a go at Lucky Hit?
I bought a new PC monitor last week so started Homeworld Remastered. Still one of my favourite games of all time!

@Totaldude911 I have a feeling Mist was making sarcastic comment.

I rarely use my Switch in handheld mode, but happy for the people who do and would like a cheaper (and more yellow!) option.
Re: Nintendo Intends To Create The Next Generation Of Controllers
@Rohanrocks88 You clearly haven't tried Pikmin then
Re: Nintendo Wants The Switch Business To Continue For As Long As Possible

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 6th)
Not a lot probably, as summer had truly started here in the UK, but I'll probably sneak in some Bloodstained RotN on my Ps4.

@SuperRetroArt Another oldtimer here ('83) who's enjoying Bloodstained a lot! Good action and a wonderful score. Playing it on ps4 unfortunately because 60 fps.
Re: Review: Devil May Cry - A Stone-Cold Classic That's Trapped In Time
@JayJ I'd like to change that to 'the 16-year-old gaming crowd' if that's OK with you Nothing wrong with that, it's just not my cuppa.
