Instant buy for me. Such an amazing series. DQVIII on 3DS is my all-time favourite game
Inject this into my veins. I could not be more excited for it. It just looks so dang good. Not to mention the music. Oh my lord, the mere fact that it's now fully orchestrated alone is reason enough for me to run out and buy it.
Is that not something we already knew
This looks bloody ace!
@Arnold-Kage Just wanted to help spread the word.
Looking forward to finally playing a Dragon Quest game. Please tell me now if I'm making a mistake starting with this one.
Day one buy for sure.
@Heavyarms55 As far as I know, the protagonists change over the course of the series, so it's not like a direct continuation of the previous ones.
Did I see that right? You can play the full game in snes style? Can someone confirm that?
If that's the case I will finish this game more than once!
@The-Chosen-one Yeah, it's the of the 3DS and PS4 version.
@Heavyarms55 some jokes and references will go over your head, but this entry is as good a starting point as any.
Really looking forward to this, but one has to wonder what was even the point of showing it in the E3 presentation if they didn't have a release date.
They also included some pretty heavy spoilers in the trailer, geez.
Are they sure they can't fit a few more words into that title? They're just not trying.
@Liam_Doolan
True still was talking about it release window of fall 2019. As I can remember being given this window in the last direct that happens in February
@Morrow
Yeah, each game in the series has different protagonists, but there may be familiar faces.
Some of the games are part of a continuity, like 1/2/3, and 4/5/6.
As I recall, 7/8/9/10 have no connection to each other.
Does anyone know whether this version includes the protagonist's clothing of DQ8? I know it's artificial, but it makes me feel all warm inside.
The new features make me want to buy it again. Wonder if there'll be another collectors edition...
I don't understand why we didn't get an exact release date.
Anyway, I'm in for day one. I've waited years for this version.
Shut up and take my money.
MUST HAVE. Finished already on PC, but will likely buy it again on Switch.
They can give us release dates for 2020 games but not a fall 2019 game. Ridiculous.
@peanutbuttercup Good point 😂
But I think it has more to do with scheduling a good launch date as to not interfere with any of Nintendo's 1st party Fall titles. Basically once SE knows what else is launching (and when) they will fit Dragon QuestXI around that.
I already have it on pre-order. It would be nice if they gave something for the pre-order but such is life.
I think we have a chance of getting a proper release date during the Direct later, but "fall" at least narrows it down. I can't wait for this game, it looks epic. 😁
@Multifists I'd think the same thing but I haven't found any confirmation yet
Still need a date but fire emblem will keep me distracted. I can’t retire my 3ds version now.
Edit: got my date! Woo I am going to have to get a second job.
I'm excited for this game and I've never even played a DQ game before. I hope this will be a good entry in to the series. I've heard from others it was on 3DS but I don't really want to go back to that system knowing this version is on its way soon!
I have the PS4 version but that 16bit style alone makes a double dip worth it!
@Multifists Happy days Thanks for confirming!
Very, very late. But interesting nonetheless. Could be my first Dragon quest (the Wii first-person title doesn't count).
