About to get Dirt Rally 2 in the postbox so I reckon I'll be eating mud this weekend! Also finally started playing GTA 5 recently (I'm probably the last person on earth to do so), and I'm not sure why I waited so long with that, it's thoroughly enjoyable so far.
Nah, I'll skip this. The original was quite wonky and I didn't really enjoy it. Come to think of it, I think Rare might be one of the most overrated developers out there. There, I said it.
@Dog That's ridiculous reasoning. If someone doesn't like something, that's the way it is. You can't like everything there is, can you? I think Brexit is idiotic, but according to you I should lose my phobias and should try to like it instead?
Motion controls belong in the pit of oblivion! Next thing you know we'll get an article talking about how great they were in the Metroid Prime trilogy....
I'm actually getting a bit more annoyed by this. I think it's quite bad manners to postpone a (once again, European) release like this, one week in advance without even telling anything about the underlying reasonings. I think I might cancel my pre-order.
Back to the Pit! Continuing Darkest Dungeon and also playing the Shadow of the Colossus remake. Played it on ps2 and ps3 before and can't get enough of it. The ps4 version has to be one of the prettiest titles of this generation!
Although I appreciate the design and fluidity of the game, I just don't feel like going through the first couple of levels again and again. I guess that just the nature of roguelike, but apart from Darkest Dungeon I've never really got to grips with it. Ah well.
Konami listening to fan feedback? What's happening?! I'll probably be getting this somewhere down the line. Just finished Rondo of Blood a few weeks ago and planning to play through Symphony of the Night again before taking the plunge.
Still cant believe this is really happening! I can't vote though, as I don't have twitter but am fine with either a ps4 or, preferably, a Switch release.
@FullbringIchigo Never had a ps3 60gb myself, but the original 360 was quite the noisemaker too. One of the things I appreciate about the Switch is that it's as quiet as can be.
It is a classic and rightly so. There's something about the good natured plot that's still refreshing with so many melodramatic ott nonsense you get in a lot of jrpgs. The sense of adventure is great as well, and certainly unrivalled until Xenoblade came along.
@FullbringIchigo. I didn't know they lost the source code, what a shame.. I'm playing the Dreamcast version so no wavebird for me unfortunately! Sound is supposed to be a bit better though, although the Dreamcast itself is a bit noisier than a Gamecube.
@FullbringIchigo Even a remaster would make me very happy. It's my favourite jrpg but I'd very much welcome snappier loading times and wireless controllers
Started playing Skies of Arcadia again. There's something about this game that's very relaxing. Also picked up the Onimusha remaster which is still very enjoyable. Fingers crossed for remasters of the sequels!
Nearly at the end of Pikmin 2. I did enjoy it even though there were some frustrating moments, but I still think the original is far superior. Next up, replaying Shenmue 2 in anticipation of the release of part 3!
My favourite jrpg of all time (yes, even better than Final Fantasy 6!), so my heart skipped a beat when I saw that picture, even though I've given up hope of ever seeing an HD version. I'm planning to bring out my Dreamcast again and replay it, and thoroughly looking forward to that.
Only bought a new 2ds recently, so i've got lots to look forward to. First replayed the original Super Mario Land trilogy and Link's Awakening, now Super Mario 3D Land is next. Followed by A Link between Worlds and Hey Pikmin. Happy days!
@gcunit Yes, having a voluntary pint with some of your colleagues at the end of the week can be nice, but having obligatory breakfast every day? No thanks.
The major releases this year don't really interest me a lot, but with upcoming (physical) releases of Hollow Knight, Bloodstained and Dragon Quest, along with some titles I'm still missing, I too am quite happy with my Switch.
Just picked this up for 7 quid (for my ps4). Bought it years ago for my 360 buy never came around playing it so I'd better sink some hours into it this time.
I just finished the sidestory of The Last of Us which was excellent, so I've just ordered the main game. Until then I'll be playing some more Yakuza Zero and Axiom Verge.
I'm a big Castlevania fan and will get this (either for ps4 or Switch) anyway, but I'm not too fond of the art style. It's not as atmospheric as I would have liked and a bit lifeless. Curse of the Moon was fabulous though!
Something tells me they'll announce a Skies of Arcadia remaster, Pikmin 4, Mario Kart 10, Breath of the Wild 2 and Super Mario Galaxy 3. Although I could be wrong of course.
Just finished Castlevania Rondo of Blood (100%'ed, jay!). Nearly as good as Castlevania IV I reckon. Not sure whats next. Maybe finishing Link's Awakening or continuing Yakuza Zero and Final Fantasy X.
Just downloaded Castlevania Requiem for my Ps4 and started Rondo of Blood (which by the way has one of the best video game scores of all time imo). I forgot how tough this game is. I hear people talking about the difficulty of the Soulborne games but they are a doddle compared to this!

Re: Nintendo Download: 13th June (Europe)
I just bough Hollow Knight for 5 quid and cancelled the 30 quid pre-order I had. Teehee.
Re: It's Official: The Witcher 3: Complete Edition Is Coming To Nintendo Switch This Year
@Aurumonado I played it without having played the first two and didn't have any problems following stuff at all.
Re: It's Official: The Witcher 3: Complete Edition Is Coming To Nintendo Switch This Year
Happy for the people who haven't played this yet. Combat is clunky, but the atmosphere, writing and general world-building is superb.
Re: A Full Sequel To The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Is Now In Development
That almost made up for the lack of Metroid/Pikmin!
Re: Feature: Nintendo E3 2019 - What Are You Hoping For?
@Wildvine53 It so happens that I've just bought the first Endless Ocean. Missed it back in the day but looking forward to relaxing in the sea!
Re: Feature: Nintendo E3 2019 - What Are You Hoping For?
I'm not too thrilled about the games that are already confirmed, but I'd be very happy with a Pikmin 4 of Prime trilogy announcement.
Re: This Fall, The Luminary Rides Again In Dragon Quest XI S: Definitive Edition
@Multifists I'd think the same thing but I haven't found any confirmation yet
Re: This Fall, The Luminary Rides Again In Dragon Quest XI S: Definitive Edition
Does anyone know whether this version includes the protagonist's clothing of DQ8? I know it's artificial, but it makes me feel all warm inside.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (June 8th)
@joey302 Thanks for the tip! Haven't heard of it but will check it out now.

Re: Gallery: Fan Embarks On Year-Long Project To Draw Every Smash Bros. Ultimate Character
@locky-mavo I was going to post exactly that. These are a lot more vibrant and there's more character and movement in them.

Re: Resident Evil 4 On Switch Is Missing Something Pretty Major For Nintendo Fans
@Dog People don't need to do anything in this regard. I don't like motion controls, so I won't play motion control games. Simple as.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (May 25th)
I'm going to shed some more tears playing the Shadow of the Colossus remaster and I'm also still trying to beat Darkest Dungeon.
Re: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Physical And Digital Pre-Orders Are Now Live
People still use Amazon for video games in the UK with the likes of thegamecollection and Base?

Re: Hollow Knight's European Physical Release Has Been Delayed
@Timsworld2 I'm actually not too familiar with them, but it seems like they've done similar stuff considering your reaction?

Re: Hollow Knight's European Physical Release Has Been Delayed
That means its release date is at about the same time as Bloodstained. That's a bit unfortunate.

Re: Review: Darkwood - A Gripping Switch Horror Title Full Of Terrors
@McDerbert Ah, that's a bit better I suppose. Still prefer environments where some thought has been put into though.
Re: Final Fantasy VII Switch Update Finally Fixes That Annoying Music Bug
Thanks Squenix, only four years or so too late!
Re: Review: Darkwood - A Gripping Switch Horror Title Full Of Terrors
I was really looking forward to this until I came across two things: crafting and roguelike. Now I'm not so sure anymore..

@GammaPhonic Free healthcare comes with long waiting lists though!
Might pick up both GBC Zelda's, as I've only played Seasons and even that has been ages.
Re: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Finally Gets A Release Date
Haha holy hell, what a geezer! Brilliant clip. Pre-ordered it of course.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 20th)
I just quit FFX as I liked it even less than I remember, but started Pikmin 2 which is even better than I remember. Swings and roundabouts I guess!
Re: The First Of Konami's Anniversary Collections Lands On Switch Today
Still eager to know what they will include in the Castlevania collection. This looks lovely as well though.

Re: Anniversary: Nintendo 3DS Launched 8 Years Ago Today In Europe
I bought a 2ds xl a couple of weeks ago so I've got plenty to look forward to.

Just downloaded Castlevania Requiem for my Ps4 and started Rondo of Blood (which by the way has one of the best video game scores of all time imo). I forgot how tough this game is. I hear people talking about the difficulty of the Soulborne games but they are a doddle compared to this!
