@johnvboy Well, that depends on whether or not you had a Wii U I suppose. A new Mario Kart, Donkey Kong or even Captain Toad would be great, although I'm already happy as Larry with a new Zelda and Metroid on the horizon. Moreover, there's plenty of indie game goodness.

Still have my original NES cartridge! Any major differences between this release and the one from the NES library?

@DreamStar Nah, I'm not paying £40 or so for a collection of which I already own the digital version and most of the original ones, but it's great for those interested.

@SwitchVogel I was about the mention the exact same thing. Then again, Nintendo is quite good at keeping mum so it wouldn't suprise me if there'll be some surprise announcements soonish.

I loved the game but the excruciatingly long loading times on the ps4 made me stop playing. Will pick it up again on my next-gen console with an SSD drive though!

@Heavyarms55 Fair enough! I read your statement saying that things like this shouldn't be discussed, full stop. Discussing political issues here on a gaming website (even though it's not about gaming) is debatable indeed.

@AlexSora89 That's a pretty comprehensive overview you've compiled there! Indeed, I've also noted some fanboy behaviour from the staff over there, but didn't realise it was that bad. I was just commenting on the user posts here on NL though, I've never seen any childish behaviour from the staff.

Alos, I suppose it also depends on the defition of fanboy whether you'd see it as a negative contruct. Is a fanboy someone who a) really enjoys a certain brand but is open to criticism and able to reflect or b) someone who blindly defends their brand? I too have a soft spot for Nintendo (I've owned every main console), but the amount of comments here dismissing some the advancements the ps4/series X will offer (some of which are really quite something) as if it's nothing, while at the same time defending the Switch as if it's the best thing since sliced bread, is quite baffling.

@AlexSora89 Well, I've learned today from the comments here that there are just as many fanboys on this website as there are on Pushsquare It's so odd seeing so many people getting incredibly defensive.

@Incarna Yep, or you can order it from base.com for £42.85. So many better choices in the UK than Amazon and Game.

@johnvboy Fair point about Zelda. I get Nintendo's point though, just like I said in my previous post. If I were in their shoes I'd do the same thing. However, that doesn't take away that I'm a bit disappointed with regard to the lack of new 1st party titles (I'm not saying there aren't any new games, there's plenty of great indie games to be found).

@nessisonett Not sure why you're getting so much slack, could it be that you hit a sore note? I'm with you though, for people who did own a Wii U the amount of ports is staggering. For us, there's no new Zelda, Mario Kart, Donkey Kong, Pikmin, or even Captain Toad to play. I absolutely get it from a finance perspective, it's easy money for ninty, but it also means that I spend a lot more money on my ps4.

The amount of ports for the Switch is staggering. I own all of Nintendo's main consoles, but I'm seriously doubting whether I'm buying the follow-up to the switch as the amount of proper new Nintendo titles for someone who's owned previous generations is mind-bogglingly low. Which means I can enjoy a good stream of new titles (for me) on the follow-up to the Switch's follow-up probably. Bit like the people with a Switch who haven't owned a Wii U.

@MBII It's the least-sold system by quite a margin and It's the follow-up to the best-sold one, how could you not consider that a failure?

That Wii U number still stings, especially when you consider that quite a few of Switch's best games were already available on that system.

I don't really get why so many people get excited by ports. Wouldn't it be nicer to have some original IPs coming out? I like my Switch, but I'm getting in the habit of calling it my Switchport already as it is.

It's no biggie, but 2020 is shaping up to be quite a barren year for my Switch, seeing as I've no interest in Animal Crossing or ports and remasters. Which means it's a good year to round off my Ps4 backlog and get excited about next gen!

@nessisonett I'm pretty sure Irn-Bru isn't for oral consumption but rather for sticking your wallpaper on the wall!

@Chlocean Yeah, you're right in saying that he mimics what you see into music. I'm not too fond of Mickey Mousing though, but I can see why people enjoy it.

@iMarkU To me, Zimmer writes mostly awful, predictable and tacky stuff (just like the Halo chap), but taste is subjective of course.

I bloody hope not, the Halo soundtracks I know are awful; they're the equivalent of a Hans Zimmer score for films.

@Octane As much as I love the Pro controller, the lack of analogue triggers is a massive letdown to me.

DOOM baby! The 64 version is the only one I've never played, so looking forward to that.

Would give it a go if the physical version was that price. I like old skool rpgs, but the demo seemed very melodramatic, so not sure whether I'd be able to look past that.

Couldn't they have come up with a name that sounds less like a rip-off?
