I remember all the glitchy areas in Metroid, I think it was a combination of ball mode, standing, and jumping to access, though it was mostly junk.

I only purchase digital if I am 100% convinced there will not be a physical edition. So far shantae, over cooked I, and snippetclips have made me look bad, but I’m not bitter!

One reason for going physical is the belief (not always correct) that I can play physical edition years in the future without worrying if the online service that got me the game still functions. Yes I am aware that I am likely living a pipe dream on that front!

I have an original launch style 3DS. Have been waiting on a good new 2dS model I liked to pick one up and this is the one. Please come to “the states” as I believe you guys call us!

Pretty sure pearl played the twins in the Shining as well.

Gonna put that amibo in an underwater, shark guarded safe right with Waluigu to ensure it doesn’t try to murder me under the light of a full moon.

I'd insta-buy a physical dual release of Celeste and Towerfall. Hope this studio keeps on producing for years to come.

That's a shame it seemed like a no-brainer to link this to your Mii's so you can dress them up for your console account. Never put a cent into it, though my daughter had fun dressing up character Mii's of the family.

That's a shame I would have gladly thrown money as fleshing out the world and the inhabitants within it, or a more classical series of dungeons. great ride regardless.

I thought the fact there wasn't a single boo in the whole game highly disturbing! seems "capping" a boo and going through walls and avoiding lights could make for a fun puzzle or two.

People that picked vampire over werewolf surprised me. I wonder how many picked werewolf because they thought there would be a huge population disparity, and were really counter-picking.

I was team werewolf because that is what my daughter wanted to be. Probably the fastest I've ever made max rank, so I was actually expecting to win this morning.

So for those that happened to have played both, how would this compare to Rune Factory 4 (which I really enjoyed). That is, farming/relationship/slight combat.

@memoryman3 As a physical-first type I'm waiting on that to come out. If it isn't, then I'd pick up the digital copy. It would be good to hear news either way.

If this means we'll get Bubble Bobble and The older FF series on the Switch, then so be it!

I don't wear hats, but I'll go buy one and eat one if it hits 7 million by end of the year. Switch launched with less 3rd party support than the Wii U did. I'm not sure what anyone is expecting, current 3rd party support isn't going to happen, it'll be old ports (ala Rayman, which IS a great game that I'd rebuy if it had 4 new music levels). Realistically it's the best Zelda game since OoT that is pushing sales.

Thanks for as always fighting the good fight @JaxonH So many times you saved me from logging in to try to be a voice of reason as you have already done it. I liked my Wii U, and I'm sure I'll like my Switch as well. Nintendo has yet to let me down (but they sure have annoyed me a lot) because I've kept my expectations reasonable.

I'll be double dipping on this game now that I've managed to snag a switch. However instead of actually playing games on it, I'm going to go check the PS4 boards to see the threads for GTA:V and how many people that picked it up on PS3 expected a discount...

Many great moments so far. My first lightning storm was my favorite as I was sparking and thought maybe it was adding electric effect to my attack, so I threw my almost broken traveler sword... And promptly died to the strike. Should have added "by the power of greyskull" and i would have been fine 😊

I think there are things Nintendo could have done better. 3DS had a poor launch and look at it now. I'm hoping it goes in that direction.

I do expect 3rd parties to pull a Wii U however: put out old games, express concern they don't sell, and drop support within a year. It's become an unfortunate chicken/egg scenario.

I do want this system to succeed, however. Hell I want Sony and MS to succeed too. I've never understood the mindset that wants a company to fail just because they don't provide a product that one personally dislikes.

Having the Wii U VC available from the start of the Switch, and with a simple interface to GET to it, would be a huge boost. However I fully expect them to "do over" every VC release yet again.

That said if running Wii or Wii U or whatever VC releases was simple a 1-2 touches and some waiting, that would be acceptable as well. However I'm not very optimistic at all on this. I get the feeling Nintendo will expect people to re-buy the various games, and I for one am not biting.

Thanks for the summary, I hope you keep it updated. Usually best buy runs a buy 2 get 1 free deal in November or December, or at least they have for the last few years.

Please! That Waluigi Amiibo is 10x scarier than any boo! I'm keeping mine chained up in an underwater safe so when it comes to life at night it won't kill me in my sleep!

Wow I was hoping for a Halloween sale as well to pick up some Castlevania titles and... nothing.

However eShop has not changed to the Mario ghost house theme, so perhaps there is still hope. If I could have that be my eshop them year round I'd be a happy camper.

I picked up $30 in eshop cards for the sales so I sure hope US gets the same sales as our EU friends!

Glad I'm not the only one that noticed the King! Very interested, and really hope it can play 3DS games too!

One thing I want to see that I don't see mentioned much is the Wii U VC pulled right over into the NX VC, so there is no eternal wait for "title X" and the console can hit the ground running with a rather massive backlog of great classic games.

I loved castlevania I, II was meh, and I've yet to play 3, and have missed a lot since then. Was hoping we'd get a sale so I could pick up some of the DS entries.

I remember in II that I ran all OVER that map having got to a quest point or something, and was stuck until my some random chance I knelt near a lake (as I recall) that opened up another path, no idea why that was so obscure to do, but I was certain the game was just bugged and I messed up somehow.

Been looking forward to this one coming to NA, now I hope we can get 2 as well!

With the 3DS getting so much love and the Wii U... not, I'd love to see something akin to the adapter the Gamecube had to play GBA (I think it was) games. Would love to play 3DS games on the Wii U, upscaled a bit of course.

To the other unavoidable discussion topic, I will say that I thought Splatoon was the worst amiibo implementation for Nintendo. $30+ of DLC that could only be purchased in that manner, with zero other option for in game purchase. That's not how I want to see DLC done, and I hope if this is true, it's done differently this time.

The only negative to me on Splatoon was locking the challenge modes behind amiibos and giving no other means to get to them. I have all the amiibos, and thought those challenges were rock solid. I hope Spla2oon (didn't someone here claim that...) has a more expanded single player experience, as the one we got was great, if not a bit short.

The map rollout and weapon rollout I thought was fine. It gave people a reason to try a new weapon when it came out, and if they didn't like it, go back to what they prefer.

And also, thanks for no voice chat. Yup, you can always mute, but then the choice is do I mute, or do I listen in the hopes of having a slight advantage. I've played way too many maps where there was someone that was obviously new or young, and the idea that some guy feels he has to have the option to scream at them makes me realize no voice chat is one of the blessings that have kept me playing for much longer than I normally would have.

The only changes I'd give to the game now are allowing you to boycott a map (and not one of the choices, a map period, so the devs can get an idea of what needs tweaking) and I'd love to see a vote map option to have the newly voted map be part of the next rotation.

I hope they take the paper Mario series into the "team Mario" direction, as the Mario & Luigi series already has a lock on the brothers, and they have the mechanics down pat. Paper Mario seems to have an identity crisis. pick something and perfect it.

A Mario and Lugi game has yet to do me wrong. Eagerly awaiting this one, and will likely jump to the top of my embarrassingly long backlog.

Haha I still have that Atari 2600 cartridge in the garage! that's a classic example of old school video gaming back then, where it just gets impossibly hard the longer you carry on, with no end in sight!

For me it would be the PC x-wing/tie fighter games. Great stuff. Makes me wish I didn't take a 20 year console break for college/MMOs...

It is dreadful to see Wii Party U there. What an awful game! I hope it didn't outsell Pikmin 3 or Tropical Freeze. I'd even prefer to see Mario Party 10 ahead of it.

Amazing how well they have done considering their limited functionality and horrible stock issues in the US. Imagine if they had a dedicated game! If the NX doesn't launch with some amiibo focused game then I'm going to join the chorus bashing Nintendo in every post I make 😉

Why does this game have a plain boo but not King Boo? Can the art department not be bothered to add a crown? This plus the fact Waluigi is in this game makes this automatic no buy.

Seriously tho, if the price point is right I may pick this up. $39.99 seems about right. Reading these comments tho, I wonder what kind of tennis games people play anymore what with the ridiculous expectations.

@rjejr well now that the roster is done I'd like to think Nintendo is fixing stock (which seems to be happening) and more importantly, working on an amiibo centric game. I'd guess that may be a NX priority at this stage, however.

I hope this is just Gameboy and not Gameboy Advance. Still a few GBA games I'd like to see.

If this means the stores are purging their slew of shovelware Wii titles, I am all for it!
