Team Vampire Triumphs in Latest Splatoon 2 Splatfest

I'm quite surprised that the less-popular team lost. That almost never happens. Poor, funny-looking Pearl needs the wins, though. She can't hold a candle to Marina.

The sadness is real. Oh well, at least I had time to go King this time around. Snails, baybay!

It's about time people started realizing Peal is a 1000x better character than Marina. I mean peoples denial was fine in the beginning, but eventually they had to realize Pearl was the best.

Hey! How come you guys never reported on the results of the last EU Splatfest? I mean sure, it was way one-sided, I had 4 consecutive matches of Team Front vs Team Front, but still...

I personally apologize for all the times I screwed up on team werewolf. I take full blame for their loss. Although my losses and wins were even by the end I still feel like I could have represented better.

I completely forgot about this splatfest. The Evil within 2 has been taking my time this weekend. Sucks that Marina can't seem to win in NA

Like I said, my team always loses.

Never won a single Splatfest in my entire life. What are the statistical odds of that happening? 6.25% chance just for Splatoon 2 alone, that's not even accounting for all the times I lost in the original Splatoon game.

That one ended up rather close compared to the previous ones.
Of course, I had the losing team though...

People that picked vampire over werewolf surprised me. I wonder how many picked werewolf because they thought there would be a huge population disparity, and were really counter-picking.

I was team werewolf because that is what my daughter wanted to be. Probably the fastest I've ever made max rank, so I was actually expecting to win this morning.

@SavoirFaire Yeah, I won about 60-65% of my games for Team Werewolf. Kind of disappointed.

@SavoirFaire Me and my wife were team Vampire because we thought they were cooler. The best part was that we picked them without telling each other. I had a couple of friends that picked Vampire even though they liked Marina and/or Werewolves better. They thought EVERYONE would pick her, so they went Vampire. Maybe a lot of people did this.

I'm surprised it was so even though. I played 50 matches yesterday and 7 of them had Vampire vs Vampire so I thought we were more popular.

@Dev You're 100% right about the drawings in the square. I noticed about 80% werewolf to 20% Vampire so I thought we were in a LOW minority. It was cool seeing how even everything was.

Spent all day setting up Steam on my PC and playing Binding of Isaac instead. I just don't enjoy Splatfests and not even snails entice me anymore. Ranked is my thing.

I don't care about Pearl or Marina I just pick the team I like better and it just happens to mostly be on Pearl's team

I picked vampire cause.... There are so many cool vampire characters:
Marceline, Marshal lee, Edward, Alice, the vampire puppet from sesame Street, Dracula from like all the hundreds of movies, and it's like the easiest last minute Halloween costume for me to do haha. I thought that werewolf was going to get popular vote cause of the flurries and marina.

@Dev TBH I suspect that voting for Marina DID affect the numbers, it's just that there are way more vampire fans than werewolf fans. Vamps have been more popular than weres for a few decades now. They dominate pop culture in a way that werewolves never have. (Don't blame me, I was Team Werewolf and think weres are a lot cooler than vamps).

Anyway, it was a good run. I made it to Werewolf Queen and Level 23 in the same match. I had a fair few disconnects, but not so many that I had to give up playing.

Team Werewolf may have lost, but at least it was close! Good games, Team Vampire. I'm just glad to finally get more Super Sea Snails! XD

It's a disheartening loss. I thought we were doing so well! My teams went 24W-18L, a bunch were turnarounds from 'Danger' levels, we had each other's backs, I even started at around 1989 Splatfest Power (with a peak of 21xx), Werewolf was on point, I tell you!

Sigh Well, I told myself not to play the odds. Not much reason to since King/Queen titles only have a 3 snail difference between winning and losing this time around. So, I'm sticking with the choices I like and defending them with my Sloshing Machine 'til the end!

@sinalefa Ranked FTW! But as it is right now, you can't open new ability slots on gear without snails. Otherwise waiting to see someone with the 3-slot gear/ability you want, or on splatnet 2, is gonna be a pain.

Yep, 4-0 for me in this set of Splatfests in Splatoon 2. All of my picks were honest choices. Glad Team Vampire managed to edge out in solos while I was kinda expecting for them to win in teams anyway. Glad to represent Dio in this, even though it was a bit rough for me and I just made King status right as it ended. ... WRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

I would of chosen Vampire myself too but been busy playing other games.I really need to get back into this game.I'm still only level 8.

I agree with the goth kids it was like there was only Vampire kids! I wanted Team Werewolf to win, even though I chose Vampires.

Not disappointed in my team choice (Werewolves are cooler, IMO). And I'm actually relieved to see a 3-0 sweep for once, because that means the most popular team wont always lose.

And for what it's worth, Marina did have a Win during the Ice Cream Vs. Cake Splatfest, but it's subjective whether it counts or not since it was pre-release. And in Japan, Perl and Marina are apparently 2-2.

Yeah, no, I'm not picking Pearl's team anymore. She's a jerk.

On my way to Werewolf King, I won 24 out of 38 games for Team Werewolf (including a dominant 7 game win streak where I single handedly pulled out a few wins at the last second, including a 42.3 to 42.2 percent victory), so I know I gave it my all for my team. It was a fun Splatfest!

I know I did my part to try to make Team Werewolf win, just couldn't make it happen! As my first Splatfest it was alot of fun though, it really got me into the Halloween Spirit!

If not for Pearl and Marina's sides, I'd call this the revenge of Team Bl...ketchup.

Indeed. I normally just go to the stores and get their three slots items. I want to try League Battles, if you are interested please let me know. All my friends avoid Ranked, which baffles me since it is IMO the best, most varied part of the game.

I just picked werewolves because I think they are cooler than vampires...

I’m kidding, but honestly, why don’t people just simply pick the team they like better? Makes it more satisfying to fight for something you believe in, doesn’t it? I mean, I genuinely feel that flight is a cooler superpower than invisibility and vampires are cooler than werewolves. And it’s fun to splat people who disagree with me!

@JaxonH I have failed you Jax. I'm sorry. I put in work though. I blame the rest of team werewolf, I was splatting squids left and right and then I'd check the map and see my teammates haven't done squat. Like "REALLY!".

was shocked when i saw my team win. i actually meant to pick werewolf bc i knew vampire would be more popular. i also participated in like 4-5 vsmpire v. vampire matches.

I got Vampire King in the first few hours and I continued to play when i could to help my team win more. Won 2/4 Splatfests with sincere picks and I'll gladly take it.

To think that me being on Team Vampire was only due to winning a game of Rock-Paper-Scissors with my friend who prefer Werewolves (glad I won both).

Kind of surprised that Werewolf didn't take the popularity vote. I thought Furries and Marina fans would flock to that side. Can't believe the loud minority I guess
