Just got a Switch 2 a couple days ago, currently playing Bananza and loving it. I wonder if I should even care about this event since I'd need to finish the game first. I hate that I missed the previous ones but I'm hopeful that they'll rerun them at some point.

NA wins for me but honestly it doesn't even look that good, I think all three of them are kinda boring.

I skipped the NES Mini as I don't have much nostalgia for that era (I started gaming with the SNES), but I got the SNES Mini and played the hell out of it back then. It helped that it released at a very specific time of my life, while I was deeply depressed and living in a far from optimal place with a small TV. Playing it felt like returning to my childhood for a moment, and I'm grateful for it.

I haven't used it in years, though, as NSO is just a lot more convenient and almost all the games from the Mini are there by now, but I'm still glad it existed when it did.

I live in Chile where the launch price was absurdly high to begin with. It's been on sale here and there, but I'd been waiting for it to go even lower. Now, though? I guess I'll just go and get one. It's still expensive, but it won't get any better, and sooner or later there will be enough exclusives I'll want to play, so I don't see the point in waiting any longer.

I actually love Katt's new design. I feel it fits her character background much better.

With the exception of Falco which will take a while to get used to, I think they all look great! My ONLY big issue really is the legs. I don't like that they made them digitigrade, I feel it clashes a lot with the rest of the design. I saw a fan edit on Reddit where they gave them the classic boots and it was a big improvement IMO. But oh well, I'm sure I'll get used to it, and maybe they'll change it again when they next remake Star Fox 64 in a decade or so anyway.

We're likely getting the Monster Hunter Wilds expansion announcement here (Capcom already confirmed it would be revealed this summer and this seems like the best place to do it). I could also see the Switch 2 version being revealed here, if that's actually happening, so let's hope!

I love the story in most Zelda games. I wouldn't say it's the main reason I play them, but it's always welcome, even if they can be quite simple. I feel they fit their purpose pretty well.

@ImpromptuR Very strange. I use the US eShop (for reasons like this, and cheaper prices than the Chilean eShop which is insane) so I've never noticed.

My heart says 10/10, my brain says 8/10, so I'll average that out to a 9/10. I know I'm very biased but I absolutely loved it.

I'm playing it on PS5, nearing the end of the story and I'm absolutely addicted to it. It's not perfect by any means but it's just an awesome game that improves on many of my issues with the previous games.

A Switch 2 version of Monster Hunter Wilds was datamined recently, so hopefully we get that. I already play it on PS5, but I'd love to finally play it with my buddy who only owns a Switch 2.

Monster Hunter Stories 3 was an incredibly welcome surprise to me, I absolutely adored the previous two. The rest was pretty forgettable to be honest.

I don't have a Switch 2 yet, but it would be day 1 otherwise. Definitely looking forward to getting it alonsgide the console when I can afford it.

I started keeping track of this a while ago because I was bored and by my count there's only 298? I wonder if I missed two somewhere.

Edit: I had indeed missed adding Donkey Kong 94 and Mario's Picross to my list, good to know!

I couldn't care less about this game in particular, but it still sucks to see as I think this is the first time they're removing a game from NSO? I had kinda assumed they were all safe. Oh well.

Yeah, I'd say 200+ hours is a negative for me unfortunately, especially since I already played it on Wii U. I'm glad they improved upon some of my issues with the original. I loved it back then but it had some extremely frustrating elements, party management being a big one of them. Now I'm wishing I hadn't played it before, haha.

Still, even though I'll probably skip this one, I strongly recommend it to people who never played the original (and have enough free time). It's really, really fun.

@Purgatorium I literally bought a PS5 last month just for MH Wilds, lol (I mean, sure, I'll play other games on it eventually, since I've missed on a lot by only having a Switch this gen and the last, but MH was by far the main motivation).

No events in my country so I didn't apply.

It's a steal at this price. This game is a work of art. Go get it!

I absolutely HATE that they removed Brachydios (the game's actual flagship monster) and randomly replaced it with... Azure Rathalos of all things?!

Sorry but as a MH fan this a huge pet peeve, so Japan wins by default.

Oh, cool! The last time they added Genesis games to NSO was back in June 2023, so I feared they had stopped supporting it.

Hoping that this is just the start and we get even more of them during the next few months.

I abasolutely adore the DKC games but I never played this one, I'll definitely give it a try, if only for science.

As much as I enjoyed it on Wii U, it eventually became a slog and I had to force myself to finish it. At my age I just don't have the patience I used to have for 100+ hour-long RPGs. So I'll probably skip this version, but I'm happy that many people will get the chance to play it for the first time, it truly is a fantastic game.

Yeah, no thanks. At my age I've learned that using music/sounds you like as an alarm inevitably means that you'll end up hating them after a few days, lol.

@swoose When you learn a new Echo, if you're sorting by "last used" simply press left on the menu and it'll go to the other end, letting you easily find your new echo.

Honestly I thought I'd be really bothered by the Echo menu but in the end it wasn't a big deal. Sure there were times when I was annoyed by it but usually I could easily find what I was looking for simpy from the "last used" menu, and if I had trouble finding something specific I'd pull out the notebook.

Easy 10/10 for me. I love everything about it, I'm having so much fun.

@LadyCharlie The last batch of Genesis games was in June 2023. We used to get them somewhat regularly-ish before then.

I'm still sad about this. Kass was probably my favorite character in BotW and he wasn't even mentioned in TotK.

I'd love some Monster Hunter icons.

Hoping that whatever amiibo unlock can also be obtained in-game somehow. Not a fan of amiibo-locked stuff.

I'll believe it when it's actually released, lol.

At this point I've mostly moved on from amiibo and I'm not really interested in getting any more, so I just hope they don't lock anything interesting behind it. I'm okay when amiibo unlock something non-permanent or just give you consumable items or something, but it sucks when I can't get 100% completion of a game without amiibo.

I actually played the 3DS version for the first time not too long ago, and while I loved it, I'm not really feeling the need to play it again so soon.

I might be convinced to get it on sale at some point later, though. Capcom games usually get some nice discounts after some time, so I'm not in a hurry.

Really bad overall, but I'm extremely hyped for Monster Hunter Wilds so getting a new trailer for that was kinda cool (even though it was somewhat underwhelming).
Other than that, Neva looks very pretty. And while I don't particularly care about the game, seeing a first party Sony game on a Nintendo console was quite notable.
Most of the rest was incredibly boring to me. This didn't need to be 2 hours long.

A HD-2D remake, if done well, would be gorgeous and probably the best outcome IMO. But honestly the original look is so timeless that I'd be okay with just an enhanced port of the SNES game with the additions of the DS version and some extras (or just put it on NSO but we know that's not happening).

I'm extremely hyped for the promised new trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds, but I'm not watching the whole thing just for that. I'll just look for it later.

Other than that, I don't really have any expectations for this. I can't wait for the Nintendo Direct, though!

I'd love a new Spyro game. Reignited Trilogy was so good.

No Zelda collab is sad, but expected after Rise and Sunbreak didn't get any Nintendo-exclusive stuff and barely any non-Capcom collabs at all.

I don't know, FE used to be one of my favorite franchises, but I was put off from Three Houses because of the focus on social stuff, and didn't even bother with Engage because of the absolutely atrocious character designs (IMO).

If they're so hellbent on turning the franchise into a waifu/husbando simulator, then at least let us be gay with any character. And have some decent character designs. Then I might consider giving it another chance.

I played this one on 3DS just before 2 came out and I adored it. I think the sequel is a stronger game overall, but this one is still definitely worth playing. Glad to see the port is good.

Still hoping for a rerelease of the old MH games (20th anniversary seemed like the perfect opportunity, but oh well...).

This guy has zero credibility these days. He clearly had a legit source at some point as he leaked lots of stuff back then (mixed with an enormous amount of terrible takes and petty drama) but all his recent "leaks" have been wrong, so that clearly isn't the case anymore. All he has left is the terrible takes and the petty drama.
Honestly it's not worth reporting.

Well, that's a bummer. I actually used this feature as my main method of saving Switch screenshots to my PC.

Not the best-looking art they could've picked from this game, but still getting all of them because of nostalgia (not like there's much else to spend these points on).

But ugh, having to boot up the game is unnecesarily annoying. I've already played this game a million times, Nintendo, including on NSO! I know it only takes a minute, but what's the point of forcing us to do this?

@Lightsiyd There's definitely rumble. I just checked and I can't find an option to change it in-game. Maybe you have it disabled on the system settings?

The series has evolved a lot since the PSP days especially in the way of presentation and QoL improvements. Rise is easily the most newcomer-friendly Monster Hunter game. Give it a try!

I love all the top three. Glad to see my favorite thunder puppy getting the recognition he deserves.
