I'm generally never get disappointed in Nintendo's Directs, as I never set my expectations too high. Some games that Nintendo announces during Directs just aren't for me. But I'm not sure if I have had this many games that I was excited for after a Direct. This was my favorite Direct in recent memory.

If he only worked on the game for 8 months and then left 2 years ago, I'm not really sure it's fair to call him the lead designer anymore.

Aw man, I'm going to have to check this game out. I love me some Interdimensional ABK.

@Coalescence Thank you for saying it that! I went through the comments and most everyone was complaining about the price. I'd love to know how everyone got their hands on an early copy and can tell me the extent of the content of the game.

Link's Awakening DX. There's not any remake that comes close to adding as much to a game as the DX version did.

Honestly the best thing about the is the "No Characters Gacha" qualifier. I'll be looking into this now.

edit: Also I wouldn't get my hopes up for an English release, since this is technically the second Bravely Default mobile title. The first one never left Japan.

Just beat this game this past weekend. Absolutely loved it. Glad to see it's doing well.

@gcunit The PS4, XB1 and Wii U (yes Wii U) sold more in Nov 2014 than Switch + PS5 + Xbox Series in Nov 2021.
Tell me that doesn't read like each of those individually sold more than the three combined.

Wow. That the Wii U sold more in November 2014 than the Switch + PS5 + Xbox Series did in November 2021 really does put the supply situation into perspective.

This is honestly the only reason why I'm considering getting the expansion pack. My kid loved Origami King and I'd like him to experience the original too.

What Slowdive said. There's a difference from constantly working to develop a game and resurrecting a cancelled game.

@thiz- So the only part missing is the Battle Frontier? That's great news to hear. I've never cared about the Battle Frontiers personally. I just wanted to experience Distortion World and see Giratina.

People tell me Platinum was one of the best games in the series, so I was hoping for some Platinum content. I wasn't a fan of the original Diamond, but I'll still give these a shot. I'll probably wind up playing this with my kid.

That's a good question. I've found myself avoiding some games due to their length, but I have been disappointed with some games being too short. Donut County for example, was only about 3-4 hours and I thought it was short. A 6 hour game like Panzer Paladin was a pretty good length. I think my sweet spot is somewhere between 10-20 hours. Enough time for me to sink my teeth into, but not long enough for me to feel burnout.

Why is Garden Story written in 'quotes'?

I actually really liked the gameplay of Other M. It was a fast-paced 3D Metroid, which the Prime games fail to capture. Apart from a few story beats, the narrative isn't terrible.

The only way I feel the pricing is fair, is if Expansion pack also included any new DLC for all of Nintendo's games. Otherwise it's a terrible deal.

I'm not sure how people don't like the looks of these games. The art style is so precious.

The only thing that I can think of for the phrase "support for OLED technology" is something to reduce burn-in. Since I figure the developers want to to have this application going at all times.

I was hoping for Charles Martinet, but I think Pratt will do great. He should bring some fun energy to the role.

The more I think about it, the less upset I am though, considering that I grew up with Bob Hoskins, Lou Albano, and Walker Boone.

@DomGC Actually TSA is a huge departure in gameplay from the first two. I'd recommend looking up videos of the gameplay from the first two, but I will say that it's not a game for everyone. Also the tone is fairly similar between the games.

@RupeeClock That's exactly what's keeping my No More Heroes held up too. I wanted to play them again before 3 came out, so I guess I'll just have to wait to play 3 later. It's not like I don't have a mountain of backlog to keep me busy.

Ooh. I loved these two games on the PlayStation, even though I wasn't very good at them. I'll try to pick them up again. Since the Switch can't read discs how do you get monsters? Using other Switch cartridges?

Not a TV, but I did have a friend take off his wrist strap to perform some "trick bowling". He launched the Wiimote at the TV and luckily it just bounced off it. Unluckily it also broke something inside the controller and I had to send it to Nintendo to get repaired.

@rjejr That glitch should be patched, since they did release a patch on the Wii (that was its own separate thing you had to download), though I can't say for certain. I would imagine they'd fix it here

I love both Lester the Unlikely and the first Bubsy, but I don't consider them bad games.

Only four 30 minute episodes? That's an easy time investment, so I'll check it out.

While I'm a sucker for physical editions of games, I can't justify buying a physical version of a game that I downloaded for free on my phone.

I'm mostly physical, and I have a huge SD card, so I haven't had this problem in a while.
