Feebas

Feebas, the ugly fish that evolves into a beautiful — Eel? Dragon? Snake thing? — is pretty tricky to find in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl. They only spawn in set locations, and figuring out where those locations are can be a long, arduous, and boring quest.

Luckily, some players have figured out the trick to guaranteed Feebas fish-finding. In past games, Feebas generation has been defined by things like changing the trendy phrase in Dewford Town (Ruby and Sapphire), but in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, the spots where Feebas will appear are affected by the Lotto ID number that you get from the secretary at Jubilife TV.

Once you know your ID number, you can just pop it into this handy tool, which will use that ID number to tell you exactly which tiles you need to fish in to find the special fish.

Head to the foggy lake in the depths of Mt Coronet, and you'll be in the right place for Feebas time! The tool will tell you exactly which tiles can spawn Feebas — you'll probably see two red and two green tiles, and if the red tiles don't spawn a Feebas, then the green ones are guaranteed to. Occasionally, the tiles can appear within rocks, which means there's a chance that you'll have fewer chances — or even zero — so just try again the next day!
