Moves like these are keeping more games from going cross-platform. Come on, even the Dreamcast had games that let you go up against PC users. (4x4 Evo and Quake 3).
Someone can figure out how to deal with harassment. It can't be that difficult to have game-specific blocklists or something.
Reminds me of that time SEGA started a subscription-based site for Flash and Java games. PlaySEGA was the name. It had some emulated games including Sonic 1 with a level editor. They also had a level editor on a 2D motocross game called Stuntmaster Motocross 2. I miss that game.
@MrGawain Ever since at least the 4th game, you've been able to change the hub and item world music. Not sure if you have to unlock it first or if it is available from the start in D5 or not though. Minor feature, but definitely something that makes a big difference to me.
I want to see a game from Skip Ltd for the Switch. Something new and original and something that I can play in English. (Although this time I can easily get it from the Japanese eShop, if needed.)
Looks alright. I'll probably have the game done 100% by the time this is out, though. Although, I could see myself buying this pack in a year or so when I want to do another playthrough.
It all made sense until the router part. You need a router connected to the internet in order to link up the 12 consoles locally? Is this to prevent people from hacking the LAN mode?
It appears that they added in Google Play Games/achievement support into the apk, but the achievements aren't yet live on Google Play Games.
Load up the Google Play Games app and search for Mario Run. There should be a "My Achievements" tab, but there is not. Well that explains why it is not working in-game yet. Someone was a bit too quick in releasing this patch.
@freaksloan Yes! We need the Switch to breath life back into the online community on Wii Sports Club. Not only that but the enhanced motion controls of the joy-cons.
I have SEGA Racing Transformed on Wii U and Steam, but I would go in a third time if they added new tracks and characters. Especially if they brought back characters from the first SEGA Racing like Billy Hatcher and Bonanza Bros. Heck even if they just brought the rest of the tracks from the first game into Transformed, that would work for me. (I wouldn't mind one bit if they forgot to include the Monkey Ball stages, though.)
The first SEGA Racing ended up being my most-played Wii game and Transformed was my most-played Wii U game. I love these two games!
Snake Pass is out, so lets get Sumo and SEGA together again to make this happen.
So far just Spelunker World for me. I don't know how to read Japanese, but I can't resist a free game/demo! (It is free on the Japanese eShop.) Is it a demo, a trial, a full game, or what? I haven't got a clue, but I like it.
I can't decide if I should go for a pro controller or another set of joy-cons for this game's co-op. I'm leaning towards pro controller as the joy-cons feel too small to me. Just I'm thinking about if a new Wii Sports came out then I'd need the second set of joy-cons for 3-4 players. lol
I love this style, but I would love to have more complex dungeons and more secret grottos/caves. Most of all, bring back the amazing music. There haven't been any real songs that stood out to me yet.
@MisterMan I had that problem too. I turned off "HDMI-CEC" on my TV settings and that solved the issue. That may not be a suitable option depending on your setup, though.
Aside from the jump button being swapped, my only complaint was the map. I hope the full game has an option to hold X down to show it and make it hide after I release. Its also not as easy to pick a target, but it may just require me to get used to it.
I liked how you could move your left stick around to distort the music in the lobby. Nice little easter egg there.

Re: The LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game is Coming To Nintendo Switch
I will get this... eventually. Never gotten into Ninjago or anything, but I love LEGO games.
Re: Mario Paint Lovers Rejoice, Hyperkin Is Making A New SNES Mouse
Don't forget about Jurassic Park! It supported it in the first-person scenes.
Re: Miyamoto Was Worried How Players Would React To Mario Odyssey's New Donk City
Day one purchase. New Donk City looks cool to me, especially if DK shows up.
Re: Random: Here's The Reason Why The North American Super NES Looks So Different
The NA one is still my favorite. The only issue is the yellowing that happens to the bottom half. Although mine is still gray, so I got lucky there.
Re: Sega Forever Aims To Revive The Company's Past On Mobile, But Could Come To Switch
I always wanted to try Comix Zone. Now I can try it for free. Then buy it on either PSN or Wii, if I like it.
Re: Nintendo Switch OS Version 3.0.0 Is Now Live
So they finally fixed the HDMI CEC bug? Now I can finally turn that back on in my TV settings. Sweet.
Re: Feature: Odyssey of the Damned - A Case Study Into Demonic Possession in Super Mario Odyssey
Anyone remember the mysterious "Marionette" title that was going to be on the Cube? Maybe they decided to make that into a Mario game after all.
Here is Marionette: https://www.unseen64.net/2011/09/24/marionette-gamecube-cancelled-game/

Re: A New Yoshi Game Is In Development For The Nintendo Switch
Loving this. Nice use of the Unreal Engine there. Still blows me away seeing Nintendo embrace external engines like that.
Re: Metroid Prime 4 Confirmed For Nintendo Switch, But Retro Studios Isn't Involved
Time to replay the trilogy! (Well I never played the 3rd one yet.) That will change after I get through the first 2.
Re: Remake of Metroid II, Metroid: Samus Returns, Announced for 3DS at E3
Wohoo! I've been wanting a remake of Metroid 2 for ages. I don't know if it can top Zero Mission as my favorite 2D Metroid, but we shall see.

Well, so much for charm.

I'm a huge fan of Popeye and I approve. Pretty cool.
Re: Poll: Did the ARMS Global Testpunch Land a Knockout Blow?
I wasn't impressed, but I still had enough fun to warrant giving it another chance. I'll give it a rental some weekend and see.
Re: Guide: What Time Is The ARMS Global Testpunch Demo?
I couldn't make it last weekend, but I can do this weekend. I'm not too interested in Arms, so this could change my mind. We'll see.
Re: Capcom Kicks Off a Massive Sale on the North American Wii U and 3DS eShops
Spirit of Justice for me. I need my Phoenix fix.

Disgaea 5! Get it now. Even if you have no interest in it, at least give the demo a try.

Re: Embrace the Giddy Madness of Disgaea 5 Complete With the Demo and Overview Trailer
I wonder if progress in the demo can be transferred to the full game. The demos for Disgaea 1+2 on Steam let you do so, so maybe.
Either way, I'll be grabbing this demo tonight to tide me over until next week.
Re: LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 Confirmed for Nintendo Switch
Can't wait! Although I will miss having the Gamepad as a second screen for multiplayer. It's back to splitscreen for us all.

Re: RiME Price Lowered for Switch eShop, With Soundtrack Incentive at Retail
That works for me. Especially with BandCamp.
Re: Highly Regarded Game Composer, and Metroid Fan, is Working at Retro Studios
I remember him for his work in Unreal and UT. Did some good ones for both games.
Check out his Unreal and UT lineup on this page: https://liandri.beyondunreal.com/Unreal_music

Kirby theme for me! Now I can hear him say "hiii!" every time I open my 3DS.

Re: Feature: The Biggest Nintendo Switch Retail Games of 2017 - Spring Edition
Disgaea 5! I am so excited for Nippon Ichi branching out onto the Switch. Next month, I'll be able to play Disgaea 5 without having to buy a PS4.
Then of course there is the hype for Mario, Sonic, and Splatoon. Also Yooka-Laylee, but that's not a "retail" game. I may hold off on MK8, though.
Re: Lego City Undercover Still Has Ridiculous Load Times on Switch
That sucks they haven't improved that, but it won't stop me. I've done LittleBigPlanet 3 and GTAV on PS3, so I can deal with loading screens.
Re: Snake Pass Update Improves Rumble on Nintendo Switch
Getting this as soon as I can. Still recovering from the launch costs right now, so it will have to wait a bit.
Re: Don't Worry, The Rumble in Snake Pass Will Be Fixed Soon
It wouldn't be a Sumo game without day one bugs. I still love you, though, Sumo!
Re: Site News: Switch It Up With Our Readership Survey
Nice to see some people are still here from WiiWare World. That also is how I found this site.

Re: Lego City Undercover Box Reveals a Mandatory 13GB Install
Nice scare over nothing. lol. Oh well more entertaining that way.
(See updated article.)
Re: First Impressions: Splatoon 2 - What We Learned About Weapons, Visuals and Controls
@onex Nice! I'll have to try the rest out on the full game.
Re: Playtonic on the Development Progress of Yooka-Laylee on Switch
These guys are from Rare, so I've grown used to seeing delays from them long ago. It will be worth the wait.
It sure will be weird getting my soundtrack/artbook before the game, though. lol.
