@UmbreonsPapa nngh, as a gamer that's a terrible purchase/gift, both the Xbox and Starfield. Here's hoping you at least purchased the game instead of supporting anti-consumer-pass.
@Cashews Microsoft is buying companies to sign contracts with Nintendo and Sony to keep games multiplat. This has already been proven. Despite the fact Phil Spencer took Xbox 3rd party in 2017, he wants screens, not hardware sales, and has been hilariously upfront about these facts. Xbox hasn't had an exclusive since 2015, every single game they release is multiplatform, this is undeniable, and they intend to keep it that way by adding more screens. However, they're wanting to have Nintendo and Sony sign contracts to receive these games moving forward. Microsoft controls these licenses, this is a monopoly and Phil's been transparent about it since day 1. Once you see the Xbox logo on nearly every major game published across every platform you might actually begin to wrap your fragile little brain around it, but by then it'll be too late to save the industry.
Peasants who defend the worst company in gaming, Microsoft, really tuck me off. They've done nothing but make gaming worse since 2002, fact.
So long as the community of gamers doesn't allow Microsoft to buy yet another developer so they can continue growing their monopoly I really don't care who purchases them.
When are the next gen systems coming out? Kind of odd to see a next gen version of a game releasing before the consoles come out. Right now the current gen is Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series. Did the PS6/Nextbox shadow drop?
@Cashews They already did, they took Xbox 3rd party. The only reason they're buying these studios is to hold a monopoly over the industry. This has been proven by MS already despite the ignorant naysayers cries. Before Phil Spencer started taking Xbox 3rd party, MS was ready to sell it off. I wonder how many of you still naively believe Nintendo and MS were "working together" 🤣. Just Phil going 3rd party to save Xbox, that's it.
Sigh ... Starfield is factually NOT an exclusive, it's a 3rd party multiplatform game and that's a fact the gaming community needs to stop denying. Xbox hasn't released an exclusive since 2015, Phil Spencer took the brand 3rd party in 2017, and has gone on record numerous times to confirm all Bethesda games would remain multiplatform moving forward. It doesn't matter what the games are or are not releasing on, only that the games are factually releasing on more than Xbox, which Starfield has. As far as it being competition, Bethesda hasn't made a game worth playing since FallOut 3.
While I've never used an 8bitdo controller that was worth a damn, this actually sounds like a fun project. As for their regular output of cheap peripherals that hardly ever work, that's what gives me pause since it's really the guts that are the problem. I've said it since the 90's, if it's not the official controller it's not worth the time. I've never seen a 3rd party controller be as good as, let alone better than, the official builds. Still true today.
@blindsquarel 8/10 isn't even close, it's a 5 at best. It gets nowhere close to what any Batman game should be and is nothing more than a Marvels Avengers knockoff, which is bad enough.
@EaglyBird Sigh, another person putting down a colorful game and assuming something they probably seem as "hardcore" should outperform it. Pikmin is for hardcore gamers, just as a From game is. A hardcore gamer is someone who can, and regularly does, play just about everything that has substance. Most casual hobbyists will play nothing but CoD, Madden, GTA, Dark Souls, etc and call themselves hardcore. No, you're just a hardcore casual who puts down legitimate gaming experiences like Pikmin, which actual hardcore gamers love to play alongside FromSoft games.
@NinjaNicky I cannot stand this mentality. Have any of you actually played a kids game? I doubt it. LeapFrog comes to mind, things like Paw Patrol or PJ Masks, Gigantosauros, etc. Pokémon isn't a kids game, they're family friendly games, huge difference.
You know what kids mostly play? CoD, GTA, Fortnite, Apex. You know what secure, mature adults play? Pokémon, Mario, Zelda. You know what insecure adults do? Call a colorful game a "kids" game. So the games easy, most of you probably cry for an easy mode in Dark Souls. The hypocrisy runs deep with the fake gamers.
@Not_Soos How you got that is impressive. CM is likely wanting to retire. When all the ignorant people came out against Pratt and wondered why Martinet wasn't doing it, he came out and said he couldn't physically do an entire movie's worth of dialogue for several characters. He's tired, your voice changes with age too, ask any musician how hard it is to continue doing something 30 years into your career vocally. A lot of them continue to do it, and you almost never hear about the toll it takes day after day, but there's always a stopping point. Steven Tyler, James LaBrie, Vince Neil, Rob Halford, etc. It's better to go out on top, and I respect Charles for finding his stopping point and for Nintendo offering him a permanent role within the company out of admiration for all he's done.
This isn't news, they've always done this. It's one of the great things about Nintendo that other gaming companies either don't bother with or don't have the IP to do so.
@HeadPirate Well, they said they shouldn't have made it for the Switch, and instead waited for the Switch successor, big difference. They still wanted to make the game and the quality is clearly there, they just wanted to be able to go bigger than they did for the first game which is the opposite of what you're implying.
@TheBoilerman Join the rest of the world and get it digitally, it's usually cheaper and the myth of "ownership" is exactly the same regardless. If you're going to buy a game just to trade it in, don't buy a game. If it's just for a shelf display, we need to get over that attachment. Movies, music, books, etc have all gone to better options to save space, materials, etc.
@Tipehtfomottob Galaxy 2 is just a dlc and it shows with how terrible the game is. I'm as big a Mario fan as I am a Zelda fan, Galaxy 2 and TotK factually suck ass. A real fan can admit this instead of being tricked by the oooo shiny.
@HotGoomba They still are, Rayman, Mario + Rabbids, Child of Light, South Park, Rider's Republic... When you get past the AssCry, Splinter Destiny garbage, Ubi makes good games. Just stay away from anything they make that shoots for realism and you'll likely be fine.
Ollie, if you're supporting anti-consumer-pass, you're not a gamer. Starfield has already proven to be a bomb (which nobody should be surprised with) so it's best to skip it and immediately cancel your anti-consumer-pass subscription. No gamer supports that service.
@HeadPirate And this is exactly why Nintendo fans are happy with Nintendo, and what graphic snobs/elitists don't understand; a good game is a good game! I have a PS5, I have a 75" upscale 4ktv... And I have my Switch OLED plugged right up to it too. I play games to have fun, not stare at a pretty picture, that's just a bonus.
You want to know what's funny? Most of the graphics snobs are the same ones who subscribe to anti-consumer-pass and play retro games. If someone complains about graphics, make sure to ask them if they're playing anything older than 2 months and if it's not the top tier graphical game released recently. That usually shuts them up because they're hypocritical.
@Rettam_itnA At max I give it a 5/10. All they did was take the existing map, make a few changes, then implement Minecraft 🤢 mechanics to pad out the game. I feel BotW was the far superior game despite being relatively void of substance. It just tracked a lot better. This was a useless title that for whatever reason everyone is gushing over and will basically be the end to Zelda for awhile. I doubt we'll see these garbage mechanics removed from the next title, but I really hope next time they actually make the ***** game instead of giving us Minecraft Zelda.
Anyone who says RDR is a good game (or that the port was acceptable to begin with) is someone you simply shouldn't listen to.
As for this port, it's upsetting all the way around on every platform. I already own the anthology on PS3, might just plug that back in and play this there. The Vol. 1 gives me hope though, as I've not yet seen it confirmed if MGS4 is going to be saved from PS3 hell and finally put onto a current gen system.
At least all 3 current gen consoles are hitting 1080p, right? I wasn't expecting MGS3Delta quality remakes, but I was at least hoping they'd remaster these titles before this collection.
@__jamiie They do have at least one dev on their team for that I believe, and I've been wondering what Grezzo has been working on all this time (hopefully the rumored WW/TP Switch ports) unless it's SMRPG. Now that Monolith is thankfully off the awful TotK, between those two and MS I'd hope we'd see something.
@EaglyPurahfan That's not exactly a thought that's farfetched though, nor one that is of a warning to anyone. All Nintendo hardware lasts 5 years before the next release, which means by now we should have heard about Switch 2. Instead, Switch has been selling so well we won't see it until next year's E3, along with 100% backwards compatibility. It'll be the first Nintendo console to buck the trend of being drastically different than its predecessor.
Saying what you said isn't a prediction based on a gamble, it's pretty much a sure thing every gamer should already be aware of at this point.
Unless it was a pun, he's certainly not a standout character... He's just as annoying as the rest of the game. And, to solve 90% of his sign problems, you just need to make an L put of two flat pieces of wood and prop it against his sign. It should hold each and every time. Easy, lame, and part of a terrible game.
@Not_Soos There's no post game content if you finish it all before the ending, since nothing new unlocks after you finish the main story. Or are you talking about the factual second half of the game, after they force you to a fake credit sequence that's obviously not the end? Because that's not post game content, it's just the second act of the game. Post game content doesn't make up the majority of the game or have main quests, post game content unlocks when the credit sequence is finished and takes you back to the main screen to say "you've unlocked NG+! And the Ultimate weapon, and you can carry all your unlocks through to brand new challenges!"... Pikmin 4 has ZERO post game content.
I don't understand why people keep thinking it does.
Good to see TotK falling, though I wish garbage like that would completely fall off. I'm ready to see the inevitable "We got sold half a game" angry articles after how bad it was. It only sold as well as it did off the back of BotW, so here's hoping they actually make a new Zelda game next instead of this garbage.
@heisnbrg There is an easier (and much more consumer friendly) way to get it... It's $7.49 on the eShop right now, 50% off from normal price. The physical edition is far too expensive for archaic packaging, and a useless cartridge/case that most gamers have been smart enough to ditch. Why is it that gamers are always the last to leave old formats behind? It's embarrassing.
@The-Chosen-one The game is fun, but ultimately falls short of any Pokémon game mostly due to certain systems they chose to help stand out. I can't remember what they were specifically now as it's been some time, but it starts fun and then gradually becomes a chore and you'll definitely find yourself saying "this is stupid, that's why Pokémon didn't do this!" often.
@martynstuff Red Dead isn't even worth considering, even if it was the only game coming out that month and you were forced to buy a game or you lost your life. No gamer supports R*
I feel like the answer is simple, and unfortunately Ubisoft is the one who's about to do it first even though I've been saying this for years.... take the time to create a solid base game that isn't overloaded with hundreds of Pokémon and features. Then, as DLC, add the Kanto region, the Johto region, the Hoenn, etc as your next big release but set 20+ years ahead of their original timelines. All the assets already exist thanks to the base game, and players get this hub world with links across the "globe" to travel and explore. With gyms having scalability, each regions E4 can be new opportunities for an improved badge system, and new gangs/challenges/obstacles would make all of the older regions feel new again. This would allow TPC to continue making worthwhile content without having to rush brand new, unfinished games out the door.
For what it's worth, the way Ubisoft is talking about doing this with AC sounds promising, and Pokémon has the legacy to do this for at least a console generation and never be short on quality content.
@JakedaArbok So anyone should be allowed to participate in the PGA because that one summer when they were 14 they won a round of putt putt against their family? No, they should be properly trained, pay their dues, and put in the effort. The same goes for gaming, cheaters are cheaters, worthless pieces of scum that deserve no sympathy for when they're ultimately caught. I personally feel they should immediately and permanently be banned from any affiliated tournaments moving forward.
@SpaceboyScreams Okay, so... Don't play. Just because you have a poor reception of the current games doesn't mean you should be allowed to cheat. Just don't play, move on instead of being a sad pathetic sack of cheating potatoes like the above disqualified losers.
@Adol-Bannings This is something I've never been able to wrap my head around. Yes, Ubisoft that makes AC, Watch Dogs, Splinter Cell, Division, etc is terrible. However, the portion of Ubisoft that makes Mario + Rabbids, South Park, Child of Light, Rayman, Rider's Republic, etc is amazing. It's almost like the gaming community has no concept of multiple teams within a company working on different projects.
When allowed to be creative and take chances, Ubisoft rules and reminds us what it means to be a gamer. When they're forced to follow trends they suck and remind us that the casual, dudebro, "fake gamers" are greater in number.
DKR was, and always will be, the best N64 kart racer. No, the DS abomination (much like SM64) does not exist. We need it on Switch, whether as an NSO title or a faithful remake.
@Giancarlothomaz But, Xbox has been a 3rd party since 2017 and has already set a precedent for working with Nintendo (which somehow people confused as Xbox eventually getting Nintendo IPs 🤣). It'll likely happen if the demand is there.
There is an incredibly sad amount of people supporting easily the worst developer in the industry, R*. You people should choose to play a good game instead and see what you're missing instead of that garbage from a developer who has never made a game worth playing. That's not even a question, that's a fact.
As for the price of it, that's not something I truly care about. Someone put in effort to release this product and should be paid for it, however bad the actual product is. The only good thing about it is the lack of multiplayer. Outside of fighting games there has never been a good multiplayer mode worth playing.
@johnedwin They really shouldn't, the scores reflect the time period. However, this game should have never been scored above a 5 since it barely is half a game.
Neither of the Stadium games were good, just like Snap and all the other half baked spinoffs that came after. You want to know why Gamefreak is as "lazy" and behind the times when it comes to game development? It's because you fell for truly lazy games like Stadium. You showed them years ago that so long as they put Pokémon in the title, it didn't matter what they released, you'd buy it.
Now I'm someone who has always purchased the mainline games, I even enjoyed Sw/Sh and S/V, but the constant whining from the community has gotten insane. These games are why Gamefreak is the way they are, so stop giving praise to the excuses, otherwise you can't hold them accountable for their mistakes today because YOU facilitated the process.

Re: Pokémon World Championships Disqualifies Scarlet And Violet Pros Using Hacked Monsters
Re: Pokémon World Championships Disqualifies Scarlet And Violet Pros Using Hacked Monsters
@SpaceboyScreams Okay, so... Don't play. Just because you have a poor reception of the current games doesn't mean you should be allowed to cheat. Just don't play, move on instead of being a sad pathetic sack of cheating potatoes like the above disqualified losers.
Re: Brand New 3D South Park Game Announced For Switch
Re: Video: The N64 Kart Racer That Deserves To Be On Switch
DKR was, and always will be, the best N64 kart racer. No, the DS abomination (much like SM64) does not exist. We need it on Switch, whether as an NSO title or a faithful remake.
Re: Video: The N64 Kart Racer That Deserves To Be On Switch
@Giancarlothomaz But, Xbox has been a 3rd party since 2017 and has already set a precedent for working with Nintendo (which somehow people confused as Xbox eventually getting Nintendo IPs 🤣). It'll likely happen if the demand is there.
Re: Nintendo Download: 10th August (North America)
There is an incredibly sad amount of people supporting easily the worst developer in the industry, R*. You people should choose to play a good game instead and see what you're missing instead of that garbage from a developer who has never made a game worth playing. That's not even a question, that's a fact.
As for the price of it, that's not something I truly care about. Someone put in effort to release this product and should be paid for it, however bad the actual product is. The only good thing about it is the lack of multiplayer. Outside of fighting games there has never been a good multiplayer mode worth playing.
Re: Review: Pokémon Stadium 2 - A Sequel Of Gold (& Silver) Standard
@johnedwin They really shouldn't, the scores reflect the time period. However, this game should have never been scored above a 5 since it barely is half a game.
Re: Review: Pokémon Stadium 2 - A Sequel Of Gold (& Silver) Standard
