QubicGames is doing what any good publisher and developer does on its birthday, and is celebrating by having an eShop sale!
Not only that, but it's also holding a competition where six winners will win a number of free, upcoming games. This isn't the first time the studio has done this, but it's even bigger this year. The winners will receive free digital codes to every single upcoming game released by QubicGames, Untold Tales, and naptime.games from April 2022 to the end of 2023. That's a whole 21 months of free games!
To enter you'll need to join QubicGames' Discord, interact with the team on social media, or pick up one of the many games it has on sale. You can get specific details via the official website, and we recommend you check it out. The contest ends on 24th March.
Back to the sale, there are a plethora of games available this time around, with some real hidden gems amongst the pack.
All of these games cost $1.99 / £1.50 / 1.80€, which is an absolute steal.

QubicGames are definitely a generous company. I often wonder how they're able to afford giveaways like this so often.
The quality of their content is definitely worth noting though. They definitely specialize in games that make you go "eh, that was all right I guess."
Does anyone know which of these games are worth playing and which are shovelware?
I bought and played Space Pioneer about a year ago (for less than $1 if I remember), and it was actually fun for a while IMO. I also played Puzzle Book and think that it is worth a couple of bucks for someone looking to play jigsaw puzzles on switch.
@Mattock1987 Bit Trip Runner is a must play
I’ve been putting off getting door kickers but no longer!
I have 4 games from a previous sale (buy one get other free). None of them held my interest. I no longer buy cheap games, because it always ends up feeling alike a waste of money.(opinion).
I got
Mini Trains
Pocket Mini Golf
Robonauts
#RaceDieRun - This one was good for few hours, but then got so tough, I couldn't go back to it.
@Mattock1987 robonauts is a good time.
Bit.Trip.Runner is more than a good time.
@Mattock1987 Akuto: Showdown is a lot of fun, unfortunately it's a multiplayer game that lacks online. So unless you have some friends to play with in person, it's not worth your time. The game would benefit immensely from online play, but the developers have stated they have no plans to support online.
Mana Spark is okay if you enjoy rogue-likes. Not great or anything, but worth $2.
Dungeon Top looks interesting to me, but the few Switch reviews I can find on it appear to be a bit mixed.
REKT is fun too, especially with kids. Simple, but fun.
@DarthXenos Dungeon Top has some interesting content to offer, if you can get past the aesthetics.
Haven’t played it in a while, but it’s a hybrid of CCG and turn-based, positional battles — within a rogue-lite, top-down dungeon structure. If you like tactical battles and/or deck building, you might enjoy this.
If you’re familiar with Faeria, there are some broad similarities in the play mechanics. Though Dungeon Top does not require an online connection, and its battles use a rectangular rather than hexagonal playfield.
As NL just reported elsewhere (an aside to @dartmonkey - I can confirm the original tech support statement phrases the issue as "the payment system used by Nintendo eShop has suspended processing ruble payments"), my main account's storefront has its lights off for now, but many of these discounts have been live for a while and, courtesy of generous sale periods, stashed for late March consideration anyway.😅 Epistory in particular - it promises an interesting experience even in what the devs warn to be a more limited mode since I don't quite picture myself hooking up a keyboard to the Switch dock. Door Kickers and Tiny Lands evoke interest, too.
Is this a mobile game company?
@Nintendaholic No
Picked up Blazing Beaks since it's been months since Enter the Gungeon has been on sale for me to get. Pretty fun game, plus birbs.
@WoomyNNYes Well yeah if you pick any random shovelware like anything Tennis, you're bound to feel cheated.
They’re a great example of why I need folders to move my dozen or so games from them into.
Not sure how they got the rights to publish Bit Trip Runner. That game is worth a buy for sure. But everything else I've ever bought from Qubic games has been a 6/10 at best. Luckily I've never paid more than $3 CAD for a game of theirs.
Dex is just plain good for that small price!
I recommend Space Pioneer at this price
Mini Trains looks cute and I am a sucker for low stress puzzlers. I think I’ll get it!
Played about 100 holes of Pocket Mini Golf, if you like golf games it’s a good time sink for the price.
When my daughter was 5, Puzzle Book kept my kid's attention during her allowed game time until my wife and I eventually taught her how to play Minecraft.
Blazing Beaks was pretty fun and a great deal for under $2. I played it co-op with my friends and my daughter once she turned 7, and we all enjoyed it a lot. I wish it had 4-player co-op, but its 2-player co-op is fine.
Bit.Trip Runner was pretty fun on my Wii, so I assume the Switch port is good.
I have 6 of those gamees already. Alll decent or good
