One of the standout releases of the early Switch library was that of Snake Pass, the 3D platformer starring a cute snake. It may not be to everyone’s tastes, but Snake Pass is certainly a unique experience, yet due to the massive influx of quality games to the eShop over the last few months, it’s likely been pushed down the wishlists of many a gamer. Thanks to the recent influx of sales on the eShop, those who have missed the game the first time around may want to give it another look.
In North America, Snake Pass has received a fifty percent price drop, lowering it to $9.99. This sale will only be in effect until 30th October, so there’s a bit of time to decide on it. As for those of you in Europe, the same sale is not currently live, but perhaps it’ll be included in the big Halloween sale that’s been shown off on the News Tab.

Um...pass?
Such an enormously frustrating game at first, but once you push through the huge learning curve it's a very fun game and I'm very much looking forward to the hinted at DLC.
This is the one game I want to recommend to people looking for something different, but am hesitant to do so as it demands a lot of perseverance of you.
Still, the effort required to play it is well worth it imo as it's a very fun game and I even picked up some new gamer skills ^_^
Yes, but have they fixed the game icon yet?
The updates make it better. I enjoyed it because it’s different and regret paying full price. No story and tedious gameplay. Give it a go at half price! If you hate it then it’s only $10.00. I’ve spent more on worse
This isn't relevant, but GAMECUBE ADAPTER WORKS WITH THE SWITCH!! LOOK AT GAMEEXPLAIN'S TWITTER IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME!!
Bought it months ago but I wont touch it with that Icon. Change or get dusted (kinda hard with digital copy thought...)
with Mario around the corner, I do not really see a reason why
Personally I didn't like the game at all.
Didn't like it at all either. Even at $10 I'd have been bummed by it.
Boring game ... regret the purchase
@NinjaSyao I'm with you! It was excruciatingly hard to adapt to the controls, but extremely satisfying once I had.
Will likely only appeal to those expressly looking for a different kind of challenge, but brilliant if that's your thing.
This game is the perfect example why we need more demos.
Already owned it and disliked it a lot. The controls were wacky, the lighting (especially on the tablet) was weird, didn't like the graphics, and I just wasn't having a good time playing it.
I absolutely loved this game. It was cerebral and charming. Entirely unique from any other platformer I've ever played. And that classic David Wise soundtrack is top notch.
This has been on my wishlist for a long time back when there was not as much to play on Switch...but in a few days I plunge into the most intense release schedule in recent memory so I may have to 'pass' once again. Oddysey, Monopoly, DOOM, Rime, Skyrim, Resident Evil Revelations, and Xenoblade. Sorry Snake Pass!
Two words why I want this, David Wise.
Was thinking about getting this while it was on sale, looks interesting, but these comments have me thinking otherwise. I second what @JRJalapeno said about needing more demos, especially for all of the wacky stuff on the eShop. DOOM probably doesn't need a demo in 2017. Nor does a 3D Mario. I'll check the kiosk again today at Target, I'm not a big fan of learning curves. I was so glad we rented Yooka-Laylee, game went downhill fast. Though a demo of that set in world 1 might have had me purchase it anyway, that was a 10 out of 10, but then a 7, a 5, a 2 and a 1, so the game was a 5. Maybe a 4, hub world was atrocious.
Maybe I'll just put the money towards Snipperclips instead.
Needs to get to 1.99. This is pretty much an iPad game.
I bought this game during the last sale for $15. I personally enjoy playing a wide variety of styled games so for me it was enjoyable mostly because it's SO DIFFERENT from anything else I've ever played. Surprisingly, it's one of the few games my wife enjoyed enough to conquer (she'll play games with me, but the only game she normally plays when I'm not around is Splatoon 2)
This has the potential to be a really fun little game but it gets repetitive after the first two worlds. A few different objectives rather than the same collecting of 20 orbs and five coins every level would have made a big difference. As it was, I stopped playing around half way through world three.
Just dropped to £7.99 on the UK eshop
Half price on the EU eShop too, along with some (more conservative) discounts for other games as part of the Halloween sale
Why do you do this to me Nintendo...
At this price, I think I'm going to try it.
Great game. But also so original that I understand the divide. It’s more puzzler than platformer (despite its appearance) and getting from one place to the other IS the challenge.
It captured me enough to perfect it and play for 15 hours.
I like that price. I will pick it up on friday.
I love this game, but it's so unlike anything else out there that I think it definitely needs a demo. You have to be willing to put time in to master the controls, but once you do, it's a very satisfying game.
Wish there was a demo. I’m on the fence and not likely to budge.
I loved it, and booted it up again just yesterday. Very unique and colourful, challenging and still relaxing as well. A demo would indeed be a good idea given how unique it is and hard to judge whether or not one would like it without playing it.
Definitely worth it at this price. I picked it up bc there wasn't much else available when I got my switch, but figured that this for $20 was way better than 1 2 Switch for $49.
But the icon is still awful, right?
This was on my list because it looks different from the standard fare, and I'm always down for a game with a David Wise soundtrack. Love those high-concept games. At $10, it's only slightly more than Picross, so I jumped on it. Still haven't even played it yet, but I'm excited to do it with headphones.
