@redd214 For whatever reason I couldn't get the 8bitdo pro to connect while an official switch pro was connected. It would just blink and never connect. Works just fine when it's the only pro controller connected though. I asked for help on here awhile ago and never got an answer, so I'm not sure if it's just a problem I had or if it's widespread.

I like it, i bought one to play with my friend's switch, plus I use it on PC and mobile. It is a tad on the small side, but 10x better than the joycons. We have had issues getting the 8bitdo and pro controllers to both connect at the same time though.

As much as capcom is lauded for constantly pumping out remasters and re-releases, I feel like a "classic" RE 1-3 collection would be right at home on the Switch. I have them on Vita, but the small screen and lack of physical L2/R2 buttons makes them a chore to play.

Eh, I think after Sun I'm finally ready for a break having played consecutively since B&W 2. Just not enough to keep me interested in turn based RPGs right now, they make me sleepy.

Nothing in the splatoon theme looks fresh, it all looks kinda terrible. Just my opinion of course, I just don't get the pink and green, over the top, trying to go out of their way to acknowledge they know how to reference the 90's theme.

I don't know why the update said he apologized, he just said he phrased his statement poorly. Talk about misinterpreting what someone says...it's happening within the article!

@NEStalgia Eh, that's fair. Just a weird sales pitch from a guy who really hasn't done a whole lot in the past 20 years.

What a sales pitch! "Hey our latest game just tanked after a year online, anyone wanna pick us up for a GREAT idea i have? Star Fox 2 is coming out 20 years after Nintendo scrapped it, my ideas are solid!"

I remember him saying the second DLC would "defy everyone's expectations" or something along that. I think we were all expecting to get to play as Zelda, so now we get to play as Link again.

The first sign he was off his rocker was that he did an interview with kinda funny. That's a sign you're desperate for attention. Then the iwata comment, yikes, talk about insert foot in mouth.

It's actually pretty common on the play store to see apps using characters or icons from big franchises. This one seems pretty cheeky though, throwing in actual gameplay footage.

Who are these madmen, pitting cake and ice cream against each other? They clearly go together. If you want a real battle, should've been cake vs pie!

I had my hopes up with how BotW went they would actually bring some challenge back to the mario games. Guess not.

So when they say "work their way around it" are they saying they're going to scale their games for the switch, or literally go around it and not release any games?

@Spiders Haha, people threatening to uninstall a game they already paid for is not "being critical" it's being a crybaby. I have zero problems with constructive criticism, but this isn't it.

Sorry you can't take a joke, or realize how petty it is. The article states that as well, AND finds a way to give some constructive criticism.

Wow, talk about first world problems. Cue someone posting a link to a petition in 3,2,1.....

Such a great game. Ranks right up there with Axiom Verge and Ori. The atmosphere and music are fantastic, and the gameplay steadily ramps up in challenge as you progress. Tons of unlockables, extras, etc. I would buy a cartridge just to support these guys, they deserve it.

@amyr0se Only if you own the carts and dump the roms though, right? (Play along and say yes before the noblemen of this site descend on you! Oh, too late....)

I don't see how this would be a good alternative to the NES classic at all, especially considering it doesn't come with any pre loaded games. One is a NES clone, the other is an emulator that looks like a NES.

@Kalmaro I tried that, in the beginning it took about 15 headshots to kill a blue moblin, then the rest of the camp slaughtered me! With a knight's bow, definitely doable though.

I haven't played since completing the game back in April, so naturally I jumped straight into Master Mode and got my butt handed to me for an hour straight. Tree branches and rusty swords are no longer viable against camps, that's for sure.

If you've never funded something on Kickstarter or indiegogo, remember the release date is a placeholder, and you should probably add a year onto it just to be safe. Most of the time these people have great ideas, but are in way over their heads in terms of finding materials, manufacturers, etc.

I'd say the chances are higher that they would make more NES minis before they came out with something like this!

Rumor has it one of those glitched areas holds the physical address to where all the NES and SNES minis are being stored

I don't think they'll meet their shipment estimation by March 2018, they simply can't produce that many. Obviously some of the parts they're using are highly sought after by other big companies, and in the grand scheme of things, nintendo is low man on the totem pole.

Looks like curation of the eshop is going out the window.

If i had a dollar for every time I've seen someone with a switch out in public, I'd have -2 dollars. I say negative because I have seen two people playing on Vitas

They should do something along the lines of Rare Replay with these, but the problem is that it's Nintendo, so it makes too much sense for them to actually do it.

@kukabuksilaks I've tried Steam Link, streaming to another PC, PSNow, on both PC and PS4, and Remote Play on Vita and PC, and they've all had their problems either with latency or lag spikes, or with steam, just not working period with some games. Could be my network, but i went through a lot of the troubleshooting, ran new cables, ran speedtests, etc. I've never tried nvidia gamestream, is that on shield devices only?

I wish them luck, but if neither Steam or Sony can release streaming apps that function correctly 100% of the time, I have little hope for these guys.

@Grandpa_Pixel Well for one, it was a joke. Two, unless you have solid numbers to back up what you're claiming, it's rubbish.

Wasting time sending out demo units when they can't even meet demand for ACTUAL units haha!

So does this mean there's no longer a cooldown on the sword? Can be used infinitely? Or just at double attack power all the time?

How odd, I was just watching Mike Matei from Cinemassacre discussing the SNES Mini and how he wished that Mario Paint was included (and they came out with a better mouse.)

@readyletsgo "who the hell wants a raspberry pi in a nes or snes shell" you're not required to do so, but to me it looks a lot nicer on a shelf than another plain old black box.

"New Donk City" was what turned me off from Odyssey when it was first announced. Just didn't like the look of it. Thankfully at E3 they showed more of the vibrant worlds and characters that are in most mario games, and now I'm actually looking forward to it.

After spending hours hunting for an NES mini both online and driving to stores, I said screw it and built my own. Wonder if they plan on adding motion control driving? It'd be a challenge, but also another selling point.

Why, why, why are they using those wii connectors? Why can't they just do a standard micro USB, and make an adapter for the classic controller?
