As much as I would absolutely love to have this, I can't bring myself to buy this game a fourth time. I have hollow Knight on PC, switch, and PS4, beaten on PC and switch, mainly bought the PS4 version just to show support to this amazing dev.
To all those that get their hands on the collector's edition....I'm jealous but enjoy!
@Damo I'd ask why in God's name you're still using a Sega Nomad to this very day, but something tells me I'll either really like the answer or won't like it at all. I'm not willing to roll the dice today.
Wow, it has an actual Dpad and looks more comfortable overall. Maybe Nintendo should've mimicked it more
@Damo Wait, you remember the Sega Nomad, but you couldn't remember reviewing a device from 5 years ago that you actually held in your hands and used for enough time to write a review on? Might be time for a CAT scan my friend!
@MarkieMAN64 No, I'd rather see quality articles and content, and less of this trash, but maybe that's just me? I don't mind not seeing things that are speculative or rumors, it isn't needed.
@MarkieMAN64 It doesn't matter, there have been several articles marked under "news" that were 100% rumors as well. The direct copy-pasting from other sites is lazy and sloppy, might as well just put "here, this other site reported this rumor, go read it, there's a good chance they did so without spelling errors as well."
"For the past couple of weeks, we've been creating rumor articles out of absolutely nothing to get clicks, and realize there's no real consequences so we're just going to keep doing it, because we lack integrity"
@BulbasaurusRex My thumb just never agreed with it, I've always preferred SNES. Played a lot of both platformers and fighters as a kid, and I would always get wrecked on Genesis, but very good on SNES. Just personal preference, and I'd like to see one in person to see if it's changed over the years.
I guess I'd have to try the dpad out in person, because I always thought the dpad on Genesis controllers were straight garbage. SNES dpad is probably the best one for everything from fighters to platformers, IMO.
DMC5 is made on the RE engine, and since they've already ruled out RE2 remake and RE7, the new one will not be coming to the Switch, unless through cloud play.
@Tasuki One large paragraph of nonsense did little to deter from what I and many others consider a troll/rude comment. You keep doing you though, just seems like that type of comment would've been edited by you at PS, so maybe you're not fit for being a mod with your double-standards.
@Tasuki Remember when I told you on PS that you make troll comments over here? Exhibit A. Someone should edit your comment because you're not being very sensitive about someone retiring from their job
@Quarth It's all still speculation and rumor, and that stands until we hear officially from Platinum, Microsoft, or Nintendo. Whatever gets Liam clicks is what will be "reported" on, whether it's true, false, or wildly unsubstantiated or poorly researched.
@Robrain I'd say take it a step further and add a "thumbs down" on articles themselves to help provide feedback that we really don't enjoy all the rumors and clickbait articles.
@saintayu Pretty sure it's directly the game's fault the community is the way it is. The unofficial spokesperson is a screeching tweaker, it's inhabited by kids that want to have dance parties, and it's full of cringe at every turn. The game enables all of that at every chance it gets, and will continue to do so until the money stops coming in.
@AlternateButtons The people that started the rumor don't work at Platinum, and haven't revealed their source to be an employee either, so the rumor means nothing as well.
Yeah if it launches above $40 I'm out, and I absolutely LOVE the original. But at that price point I'll stick to the original as well.
@patbacknitro18 There's so much wrong with your RE2 remake statement I don't even know where to begin, other than to say you're wrong about everything you said.
Fortnite is already on it's way out thanks to Apex Legends, of course it's going to fight to keep the dance party going by hoarding as many ridiculous emotes and dances as it can. Even poster boy Ninja moved on to Apex already. Had a good run, but it's definitely about over.
Shame this happened, but to be honest there were plenty of warning signs in plain sight that should've had people looking elsewhere for jobs long before this was announced.
They had 10 years to prepare a new Metroid game as a launch or year 1 Switch title, so this setback just seems like they never truly took the series seriously until they had seen how popular the fan remakes of Metroid 2 had become.
@Karatecanine @electrolite77 Docked, maybe, but therein lies the problem. Developers have to accommodate docked/undocked, which for a game like RE2, doesn't seem like it would be worth their time or effort, if possible at all. If it was, we'd have already seen a port of RE7.
Yeah, sorry, it'd be like asking them to reverse engineer their next-gen engine to play on something not even on par with a PS3. Maybe they'll do the cloud version like they did RE7. I'm just happy to get RE4, though they could've left RE0 in the wind, that game is horrible.
His answer to the question of the response of the remasters on PC isnt true at all. There are several issues affecting both games that haven't been addressed since launch, some game-breaking, some trivial, but none really acceptable for porting over 10+ year old games.
In the meantime, how about we get the Prime Trilogy ported over to Switch, so we can re-appreciate how much of a good thing it is that they're going to be working with Retro on 4?
@Rondy Other comments above and below mine seem to agree it's not a fighting game as well. Referring to insults is the sign of someone who's already lost the fight, nice try though have a good one, better luck next time.
@Rondy You were in such a hurry to reply but you didn't reply to me, you probably should've taken more time to come up with a better response than what you did.
You never "corrected" me for starters, and if you disagree with me, and by proxy, the creator of the smash games, then feel free to disagree, I can't change your mind on that. No need to continue this any further, we'll never hit a middle ground and I don't have the time or energy to bash my head into an internet wall arguing with someone who doesn't get it.
@Rondy You do those things in SEVERAL games that are not, by a majority of people, considered "fighters". Would you consider resdient evil, assassin's creed, Mario odyssey, Mario kart, Pokemon, Mario party, hollow Knight, or another 100+ games to be "fighters" as well?
Bottom line is, smash is a great game, but it is by nature a party game, or as Sakurai puts it, a sports style game. Leave the "fighters" category to games that actually fit the mold, like FighterZ, Street fighter, mortal Kombat, etc.
@Rondy Direct quote from the creator of the Smash games:
"Sakurai: I think it's because it is, in fact, not a fighting game. The nature of it is similar to a sports game in which the player shoots an opponent as if it were a ball. The results are different [every time you play], which, I think, is also a unique and attractive quality of the game."
That's just not true at all, the Switch is for sure a modern gaming console AND a dedicated overpriced port machine for last gen - all in one! (Sarcasm btw)
I'd be ok if this was real. I'd also be ok with Nintendo throwing this stuff in their updates just to mess with people and see how easy it is for people to datamine their stuff.
@Tantani Are we considering Smash a fighting game at it's core? I mean if you go by recent NL standards, almost anything could be a fighting game
I've always thought of Smash as more of a party game, which is why it sells so well. People buy it to play with their friends and family more than anything else. Lord knows not for the online.....

"Nintendo Insider further explains how this particular leaker has a bumpy track record."
Which is why reporting (copy pasting from another site) on this shouldn't have even happened in the first place. Enough with the rumor trash articles.

Even IF they added motion controls to bring us an HD version of RE4 on par with the Wii version, that's a giant nope for me at that price.
