Amazon Prime Day 2017 is right around the corner, and it promises to be Christmas for Nintendo Switch fans, with a cavalcade of cut-price consoles, games, and accessories pledged. And the good news is that through 3rd July you can save an enormous £20 on a subscription to the premium shopping service, meaning that you’ll only need to stump up £59.99 for annual access to swift shipping and all of the impending offers.
If the prospect of an enhanced Amazon experience hasn’t fully sold you on the deal yet, then we should add that an Amazon Prime membership will automatically upgrade you to Twitch Prime, which will unlock ad-free viewing, a free channel subscription every 30 days, and one Golden Overwatch loot box and ten basic loot boxes through August and October. The bonuses just don’t stop flowing, do they?

What is Amazon Prime Day 2017?
Imagine the Boxing Day sales, but without turkey sandwiches. And restricted to one retailer. That you, er, need a subscription for. That’s Amazon Prime Day 2017! Seriously, though, the online plaza’s planning to go hard this year, with over 30 hours of insane deals for members only, spanning a slew of different products.
When is Amazon Prime Day 2017?
Amazon Prime Day 2017 gets underway from 6PM BST on 10th July, so make sure you’ve got your Amazon Prime subscription active and your credit card nearby.

@Switch81tch haha!
Can I use the subscription in Denmark?
@Dakt Enough to get the same exact ad over at Push Square
They had time to post an advert, but they still haven't noticed the new offers on My Nintendo.
I'm fine with advertorials, because obviously you need to make money, but mark them as adverts, not "deals".
If I remember right, the last Prime Day was muck as far as Nintendo was concerned.
Why aren't you posting any sales? Lol. I was hoping you guys would do the legwork.
It was disorientating seeing this on the website. Are adverts planned to be a regular addition to the website?
Didn't see anything worth getting during the last two Prime days so I'm not expecting too much this year.
A £20 saving isn't "enormous."
This feels dishonest as all heck. Should be clearly and separately marked as a paid-for advert. If it's not, well, the person responsible really needs to change their writing tone. This is disappointing coming from my current favourite Nintendo news site, and I hope against hope it's a one-off.
I suspect this is just an attempt to generate affiliate clicks rather than a paid advert as such. Still zero relevance to Nintendo.
Huh I wonder if that twitch thing will apply to Amazon Prime in Mexico
Why does anybody on NL need to care about Overwatch loot?
"and one Golden Overwatch loot box and ten basic loot boxes through August and October."
Since you guys seemed to have just copied the PS article I'll just c&p my PS comment.

Signed up for 1 month on Friday after receiving an email about Prime day while I was looking to buy the Zelda Expansion Pass, 5% back w/ my cc.
For $20 off I'd probably sign up for the year, I usually do the monthly 3 or 4 times a year, watch a few movies, save a few $. Will be saving $8 on Hey Pikmin so far, so I'm close to even. I'm going to spend way to much next week, but I need stuff.
@Dakt More like AmazonLife, but it is still useful. I order almost every video games on Amazon.
I'm kind of screwed because I took a month of Prime 2 weeks ago and I can't get the year subscription because I'm not a new prime user...
Money doesn't have to change hands for content to be considered an advert.

This looks suspiciously and disappointingly like an advert, copied and pasted from a press release.
Not surprised no-one wanted to put their name to it.
Do you have to be a new member to get this £59 offer I've been prime for years now
I'm a Prime Member but have no idea how to see deals I'd be interested in...
@Dakt I understand and still don't worry about this.
The ads on this site were limited to mere banners, but after a while they became intrusive and content blocking.
I've had an ad blocker since, and doubt I'm the only one. If the ads were more sane again I'd whitelist the site because I know it helps them and I enjoy this place and community.
These articles are a small price to pay for me. The community is a lot of fun, the people are nice, there's variety to agree and disagree with - heck, I'm clicking these articles just for sponsorship.
I do understand your viewpoint though. It's just... I think the scales tip the other way.
Useless for anyone who already has an Amazon prime subscription...
@Balladeer sadly they have already done one like this before. Linking videogames on Amazon and such in a "news article"
Was article paid for by Amazon?
I would sign up, but I rarely buy anything that would make the deal worth it.
Shame on you, NintendoLife. That Overwatch loot part made me barf.
Please fully disclose, Nintendo Life. This is an advert, so call it an advert. The fact that you have it masquerading as a "deal" only makes me less likely to log onto Amazon.
Talk about blatant...
What is this poo?
This site just gets more and more pathetic...
@Switch81tch Agreed, what is this? It's not even saying its an advert? SUCKS
Ordered a D&D book from Amazon which arrived with a huge dent in it. Did the returns process and they sent me out another one with a huge dent in it. 🙄
Overwatch? Is that a kind of mario and night elf hybrid tactical rpg? I never heard of it so cant be good.
Nice Ad, last prime day was kinda rubbish tbh.
Also best way to get what deals are available is to set up a free trial if you haven't already.
