Wow. Me and NL really differ on this game. I found it uninspired, and not much fun at all. I liked the concept, but felt the execution was bad.

5/10 for me

This makes me sad. I was hoping to get this game. If they abandon it, it will be a tragedy.

As for new hardware (NX), Nintendo has said it will be unveiled next year, but that means it will be for a 2017 or 2018 launch (and this game will be long gone by then). Also, who knows what the system will be like. Nintendo takes risks, and could ditch the gamepad for something completely different, and then this game won't work on it at all.

Also, when you announce a game is coming to a system, you better deliver. This just shows how unprepared they were. It's crueler to get our hopes up than not to announce it in the first place.

@FantasiaWHT Twisted Metal is what you get when you stick Mario Kart, Mad Max, gasoline, and about 5 gallons of LSD into a blender, then proceed to light it on fire . . . for better or for worse.

I would also like to chime in on how absolutely amazing Mad Max: Fury Road is. So far, it is the best film of the year. It also can stand on it's own apart from the other Mad Max films, but it still has everything that made the original films so enjoyable and unique. The only other film that may trump it this year may be SPECTRE (the new James Bond film with Christoph Waltz as the villain).

I think it might even be better than Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior (the best of the original trilogy).

I also never knew this was also going to come to the Wii U. I'm definitely getting it!

Don't worry, my 8GB Wii U, I still love you.

I say make it bonus unlockable content for Star Fox Wii U.

I know it's a Metroid. It was a joke. I also know they are called Komaytos in Kid Icarus (with even a tounge-in-cheek reference in Uprising), it was part of the joke. I've been battling the damn things since I got a Game Boy and Metroid II for christmas when I was a kid

Well, anyone can make a game for their own amusement, no matter the content. Nintendo can't stop that. However, promoting, sharing, and allowing people to download it, that's another story,

As much as I like Paper Mario, love The Thousand Year Door, and also enjoy the Mario & Luigi series, I still do not find any of the them to be a worthy sequel to Super Mario RPG.

I am still waiting for the true sequel to what is my favorite RPG of all time, and I hope Nintendo doesn't keep me waiting forever.

I have to be honest, I really do not get the hype. In fact, I am dissapointed that this is going to be Nintendo's focus for E3 this year.

For me, I want info on current games in development and announcements of new games and new systems (really hoping for a Metroid announcement!). I really could care less about people competing in a video game tournament.

Sigh, I guess I am just going to have to pass on E3 this year, and hope for something more exciting next year with the unveiling of the NX.

I hope they announce a new Metroid (FINALLY!!!) and a new 3D Super Mario game (in the style of SM64/SMG . . . hopefully more like SM64).

I would also love a new F-Zero and a true sequel to Super Mario RPG . . . but I am not holding my breath on those 2.

Also, the actual lanscape is boring. Right angles everywhere.

I had this on my iPad for a little while. Sadly, I found it to be lackluster, and just not that fun.

This is how I think it should work:

• all virtual console games are available on a server
• you have the option of playing them directly off the server, or download them to your Wii U / 3DS
• all saved files are stored on your Wii U / 3DS
• you would then pay a monthly subscription service of about $15-$30 to access the games.

The only titles right now that will increase the user base are:

Zelda Wii U
3D Mario (in the vain of 64 or Galaxy)
Metroid (2D or 3D)

Meh, no thanks. I'd have Rayman, Bayonetta, Snake, Commander Video, Banjo, Conker, and many many many more over Meatboy anyday.

I loved Zombie U. If a sequel ever gets made, I would buy it immediately.

It has promise. I'll definitely check out the final version.

@Einherjar That's not the Wil Wheaton I know. The Wheaton I know plays video games. He's a big fan of adventure games (hence his enthusiastic involvement with Broken Age).

In all seriousness, I like Wil Wheaton (from Stand By Me to Star Trek to Big Bang Theory). He's a good actor, and a really nice guy.

Wasn't there an extremely reliable rumor last year that 2 Metroid games were in development (a 3D one and a 2D side scroller)?

I'm having the same problem. It just goes to a black screen, and then returns to the Wii U menu. No error message or anything.

This is very troubling since I was really looking forward to the Metroid Prime Trilogy, and there is no way that will fit on my Wii U. I hope Nintendo can fix this issue, pronto.

These are all ones that I know of (excluding the Wii remote and nunchuck support)

• The graphics for 1 and 2 are improved (upgraded texures, bloom lighting, fixed glitches, improved environmental effects, 16:9 aspect ratio)
• The award system for 3 is incorporated into 1 and 2
• Faster loading times
• Echoes's difficulty is slightly lowered
• Fully incorporated 4-person-local-multiplayer based off the version from Echoes
• Ability to unlock the Metroid Fusion suit (that was originaly only unlockable by linking Fusion on the GBA and Prime on GC)
• New unified start menu

I'm seriously awestruck!

Also, the "Twilight Zelda" (Picture 8) . . . I'm at a loss for words.
